Here's what I don't get about the Ince moaners

.....

At clubs like West Ham and the much derided Spurs, the fans are eternally optimistic and that sometimes helps the team. And I think they have more fun as a result

There must be a different definition, or exchange rate for the currency you call 'fun' from South to North in that case ....

I'm sure the default position of a Rovers fan is to be a curmudgeonly misery guts who thrives on criticism/pessimism & is adept at finding the negative in any situation.

If we dont pick up a couple of wins soon we could be bottom for christmas!

I don't want to be seen as negative but if we lose to Sunderland, Spurs beat Fulham, Newcastle v Wigan is a draw (both likely results) we will be second bottom. In the unlikley event of those results combining with WBA beating Chelsea we WILL be bottom.

Should we lose to both Sunderland and Spurs it's probably only the Baggies results that will keep us off the bottom of the table.

Always looking at the worse case scenario is negative

20,670 yesterday in the monsoon, live on TV, Rovers being crap, Ince being a wally, etc, etc.

19,398 on 27.08.06 - Chelsea the champions of England, Mark Hughes is the saintly manager of Rovers (who had finished 6th), not a hint of a credit crunch, lovely summer fixture ....

What the hell was that sub-20K crowd about ... vs "probable expectations"????!!!

Clearly this observation was far too factual to actually respond to ... ...

And if we win, Spuds v Fulham draw, Newxastle v Wigan draw and WBA get hammered by Chelsea 5-0 and Hull beat City Manure beat stoke, Liverpool beat Bolton WHU draw with Pompey Everton v Middlesbrough dosent matter, but a draw would help for the game the week after. we could be on 16 points in 10th place.

Come on you BLUES. :brfcsmilie:

No, that brigade will only wait until people have 'forgotten' and then try to spout the same cr@p all over again until someone actually shows them the truth (again).

There are definitely a good number of anti-Ince posters who will not even see the good that is happening...

Any chance of a recap on the good stuff please, it's been lost somewhat among all the "Anti Ince Brigade" / "Pro Ince Brigade" bandwagoning / jostling. I think a recap would be useful at this point. Thanks!

I think results and Paul's fate to some degree rests with the sick bay, is there any news on when we can see some of the injured back in action?

Inparticular Santa, Emerton, Oijer etc and are Reid and Dunny still long term injured?

On a positive, Benni is back for the Sunderland match isn't he? And I thought Grella looked pretty good (If fit)

AND, Robinson was awesome!

Really ? West Ham fans of my acquaintance are as gloomy as us. Proper football fans always look on the dark side beacuse they have been let down so often in the past.

yes thats how serious it is - especially with our next fixtures after Sunderland are Spurs and Pompey away followed by Liverpool at home .

we have gone from a European contending side to a relegation battle in a very very short space of time - Ince could be on borrowed time.

PI isnt doing hisself any favours with his spat at Celtic or his spat with wilkins deflecting his sides poor run of results .

totally hope the above scenario is right - now get that crystal ball out

Maybe down the pub they are, but I am always amazed at the backing they can summon up in the Boleyn Ground when seemingly down and out.

Paul's Progress is a contradiction in terms- this thread should be Paul's Regression.

I went to Bologna v Roma, watched Rovers v Chelsea live and Lecce v AC Milan live this week-end.

By some considerable distance Rovers were the worst of the six sides both in terms of spirit shown and for having a massive technical defficiency- a near total incapacity to mount an attacking threat.

Lecce v AC was almost an Italian mirror image of our game; Lecce bottom half playing opponents who needed to win the game to go top.

Lecce were clearly technically inferior but they played Kaka out of the game (he was subbed after 65 mins) and eventually conceded to a very well-worked goal from Ronaldinho; an Ac player got free on the right, got to the by-line and had a choice of Inzaghi running in for the driven cross along the goal line or Ronaldinho on the penalty spot. Inzaghi ran into the net so was not interfering with play when Ronaldinho volleyed home off the turf.

The important point was that Lecce kept going and pulled off a 92nd minute equaliser from a towering header that Dido should have done better with. At the end of the game Lecce support went wild with delight and celebrated like it was a win.

Bit of a difference from a sodden Ewood. And why was Ince treating it as a joke when interviewed afterwards?

Without doubt, the clock is ticking towards Ince's sacking.

Why should I do you a favour?

It is increasingly looking like Ince is completely and utterly out of his depth managing at Rovers, a club which he has no respect for, and we need to get rid sooner rather than later.

He will only have a few games to save his neck.

Strong stuff philipl, fully understand were your coming from. Its going to be an interesting couple of months coming up though i'm sure you'll be wishing Paul Ince all the best especially as Avram Grant has publicised his desire to return to the prem.

Ince has my support but the results and the quality of recruitment leave him wide open to the baying wolves, just hope he isnt our very own John Barnes :o .

were only in november yet people are questioning the manager already..instead of moaning at everything he does why not get behind the manager

with all that has happened during the summer i think were doing pretty well-weve lost our whole management-lost two of our top players yet he is still been questioned..

injuries hasnt helped him-but despite losing good players to long term injuries we are still doing well..

hes the sort of manager who will give players a chance when performing and drop players when they aint performing-hes already done it alot this season-pedersen, mcarthy even samba on sunday..

we maybe only 1 point off the relegation zone, but were only 5 points off 7th and 4 points off top ten..

Has Tugay4England been giving you lessons in Anti Ince Mania?

So here I am, on holiday, not posted for a few days, have a quick check of the messageboard, and i'm still managing to get a namecheck.

When was the last time you posted anything of substance Stu? All I can recall recently have been curt one liners in my general direction - not quoting me or even bothering to address something I've said. Just sneaky, underhanded jibes.

I tell you what - next time I say something you disagree with, see if you can manage to quote it and reply with something substancial and worthy of debate. It's what this place exists for. If only you were capable.

If you've got a problem, come out with it, instead of skulking around hiding behind your 'wit'.

Only THREE goals scored at home in SIX games and one of them was an extra time equaliser. Hello is anybody in !
