Amo Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 We've hardly had much to be pleased about these past few months. All I will say is I'm a honest person. I will praise and criticize the team where I feel necessary. I can't be one of those fans who turns a blind eye to everything because in their logic it makes them more of a supporter.

Ince took a gamble??, i don't have to apologise to you and i will never will do thanks! We've hardly had much to be pleased about these past few months. All I will say is I'm a honest person. I will praise and criticize the team where I feel necessary. I can't be one of those fans who turns a blind eye to everything because in their logic it makes them more of a supporter. that made me laugh, keep it coming pal!!!
Amo Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Ince took a gamble??, i don't have to apologise to you and i will never will do thanks! Of course he did. Did you see that line-up? Did you see that we were dominated? It was the subs that changed the game. that made me laugh, keep it coming pal!!! Because you've got nothing better to say.
gazsimm Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Of course he did. Did you see that line-up? Did you see that we were dominated? It was the subs that changed the game. he was always going to pick a starting a line up like that last night. He was not going to risk his key players, with Saturdays game coming up was he.
imy9 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Er, he's shown the squad is down to the bare bones more like. But I guess it means you're happy. So when Olsson, Judge, Treacy were picked earlier in the season we were "down to the bare bones"? PI wants to give youth a chance, yesterday merely supported his way of thinking.
mark Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 A win is a win, and the records will show it as such. Why any Rovers fan would expend so much effort on trying to belittle it I'm not sure. Did you comb the internet after our recent defeats and pull out all the positive things which happened over 90 minutes in those games? Perhaps you'd like to ... Or perhaps you wouldn't - because you and several others shoot down anyone who dares to pick out any positives from recent fixtures. It really is infuriating. here here. philipl, you deperately need a hobby.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Surprised that Ince is getting stick after last night. Sunderland played a largely full team - we played fringe players. Though the game may have been less than enthralling he managed :- 1. TO WIN - and get through to the next round 2. Blood another youngster - while giving Olsson, Derbs, and Treacy another run out 3. Introduce Roque at the right time - to give him a short run out following injury 4. Rest a number of key players I am hoping for a fifth - and I think Ince will go up in everyones estimation if he comes to the same conclusion :- 5. Showed that Fowler isn't worth keeping beyond the end of his short term contract. Was never a huge fan when in his prime - even less so now.
den Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Surprised that Ince is getting stick after last night. Is he? The only comments that I can remember are that some people didn't agree with his team selection.
thenodrog Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Villenueva - He is on loan, Ince decided not to gamble 4 million quid until he had a good look at him. I think he has potential and he is already a crowd favourite. He is not the finished article but I hope we sign him. I cannot see a chance of him staying and if I was his agent I'd be wanting him to leave asap because it's apparent that Paul Ince simply does not know where to play him! It's obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse that Carlos's genuine talent is suited to playing behind a striker.
thenodrog Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 It is not black and white, it is all about circumstances. If we continue to get lots of injuries and we improve our defence but get relegated on say 48pts, then I would not consider that an instant dismissal. If we start getting spanked 4/5 nil against teams like Wigan and Middlesbrough then that would be time to call it a day. 48 points and relegated?? Most unlikely in fact I'm not sure that is mathematically possible given the current set up of the Premier League. Can someone enlighten us on this? ..... I just can't stand him, his voice, his looks, his attitude or anything about him. You are now sounding like a broken record gumboots.

Can someone enlighten us on this? You are now sounding like a broken record gumboots. I refrained for a long time from repeating those comments because I knew you'd come back at me about them. However, it is still beyond me why I am not allowed once in 3 months to remind people of my dislike of that man whilst others whine on about their various reasons for considering our current manager inadequate ad nauseam. You know you can ignore anything I post and you're welcome to do so since I won't know and you don't know me anyway so I don't really care.

BuckyRover Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Drog didn't think it was mathematically possible to get relegated on 48 pts, I just proved that it was. It has no relation to current form.

Thanks. I did read that question yesterday but I'd just come in from a 13 hour day at work (and you think teachers have it easy) and it had slipped my mind.
philipl Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 This is a Manager we should look at seriously if the worst were to happen.
gumboots Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 This is a Manager we should look at seriously if the worst were to happen. What? someone from a lower league with no Premiership experience?
dingles staying down 4ever Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 This is a Manager we should look at seriously if the worst were to happen. He was linked before Ince got the job. One of the criticisms against Ince is no premiership managerial experience so whats the difference?
Eddie Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Don't expect philipl to be logical guys . Martinez is much better than Ince, he has had a positive article written about him in the Guardian.
gumboots Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Don't expect philipl to be logical guys . Martinez is much better than Ince, he has had a positive article written about him in the Guardian. And he's got a foreign name (but speaks very good english) so he's bound to be good.
Hughesy Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 And he has zero experience of the prem, even as a player.
almuncle Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 And he's got a foreign name (but speaks very good english) so he's bound to be good. My sources tell me he has already got the respect of the rovers players too
