Our home league record now reads

won 1 drawn 2 lost 4 goals for-against 4 - 12

We had not lost a league game at home since December last year before this sorry tale started.

The selections we are seeing are odd. More to the point, they change with more rapidity than Raffa rotated Liverpool before this season.

The logic all points to Ince going sooner rather than later. I guess he will be given Spurs, Pompey, Liverpool and the QF to see if he can inspire a revival.

Luckily the league is really even at the moment, so for example a scrappy draw at WHL and a lucky win at Pompey could lift us all the way to top half. Edit: well, not to top half, but 11th :)

Nevertheless, the board should assess the situation carefully as soon as possible. Being on the pro-Ince -bandwagon, I'm not yet convinced we need to off him, but he needs to sort this out NOW. The promoted teams, the teams with even more unexperience managers than Ince (Pompey, West Ham), Wigan, Bolton and should Kinnear get a season long contract, even Newcastle are as much in the relegation scrap as we are.

We have played the following teams that will be in the mix around us in the coming relegation fight:

Hull

Bolton

WBA

Middlesbrough

Sunderland

......We have NOT won a single game against any of them.I really dont know what the future holds and I am now officially one very worried Rover.

The clock is ticking for Ince.

Oct 24, 1999, sitting in the main stand at Maine Road whilst watching Rovers lose 2-0 against Manchester City, was the moment of my personal epiphany with Brian Kidd.

After we hit the bar (Per Frandsen?), City went up the other end and scored; heads dropped, the players looked lost and the manager evidently out of his depth.

As I cringed in my seat, around me the City fans prematurely celebrated as they knew we had nothing left to offer. As much as I liked Brian Kidd and wanted him to succeed, from that moment on, he no longer had my trust and confidence as manager of Blackburn Rovers. I think sadly, he was sacked shortly afterwards.

Almost ten years later, and now along way from Lancashire, I'm trying to look for the positives in what is undoubtedly for me, the lowest point since then as a Rovers fan.

Despite my reservations, I advocated giving Ince our full backing, but I'm beginning to question this resolve.

The next 5 games (away to Spurs, Pompey, Wigan and home to Liverpool and Stoke) are absolutely vital. If we fail to collect a minimum of 7 points from all of the above, then it's difficult to see Ince surviving. More crucially if we are weighed in the balance and found wanting during this period, I don't foresee too many fans that would continue to back him.

Right now Ince must shut up about the top 4 breaking away and the relative merits of English and Scottish football and all other non Rovers related claptrap and just focus on the f****g job for which he is being so handsomely remunerated.

He has to start acting like a statesman, a leader of men; not like some wide boy share dealer from the City of London who's just shuffled in off the town after being made redundant.

Come on Ince; prove your doubters wrong. As far as I'm concerned, you've got five games to do it!!!

Todays result has to be the turning point for the club.

A change has to happen before its too late, get rid now and get the club settled. Leave it until Christmas and its too late.

The next two weeks are the most important of this season. If they let it run then BRFC will never recover. <_<

His words about Mr Williams not being happy if he took Rovers into the bottom 3 might just turn and bite him on his backside later this evening <_<

This is a perilous position and time for the club and I think the next FIVE games will decide whether PI is in a job or not.

That being said I think it is unrealistic to sack a manager at this stage of a season, we did it with Roy and we still got relegated. Injuries have decimated the squad BUT that still does not excuse a pathetic second half against a team which is worse than us on paper.

Your wrong, Roy didnt take us down KIDD did.

You appear to be slightly changing your tune IMY, todays second half was the WORST you will ever see, total and abrupt crud.

Change has to happen now, look at Spuds revitalised under Harry, thats what is needed at Ewood.

Injuries?- Dunn, Reid and Grella. Benni on compassionate leave. Everyone else including Vogel are fit aren't they?

It is very realistic to sack the manager now. With the January transfer window coming it gives the incoming manager the chance to assess his squad and and get the contacts made ahead of the window opening.

If as I suspect is the case, there is little confidence from the board and chairman in Ince, the honest thing to do is to make the change now.

Sorry imy we don't have five games Spurs, Pompey, Liverpool. Don't expect anything from those if we continue with today's form. We need to be preparing to beat Stoke and Wigan.

Oh dear! Next door's already sold their season ticket!

Open expansive football my backside - wide open football more like. These are the problems I saw clearly after 5 mins let alone when the subs came on.

- The keeper can't catch and hasn't all season. We won't stay up with him in goals. Forget Englands no 1 - he ain't even Rovers number 1 - Brown in now. What are people watching who think he's great? a couple of shots stopped just isn't enough at this level. CATCH A BALL!

- Defense - one redeeming feature - we have enough good defenders to keep us up. PLAY THEM IN POSITION!

- Midfield - We had no-one in midfield who can hold a ball up and no control - Dire. Even in the first half we were very poor here. Tugay is past it but I was shouting to bring him on in the first half. What an improvement when he did. Where's Vogel seeing as I'm paying his wages?

- Forwards - Dire - no service to speak of - 100 balls pumped 100ft up. Santa Cruz plays on the floor with Paraguay STUPID!

- 1-1 at home and we withdraw to 4-5- fluffin 1. What sort of tactic is that? RUBBISH!!!

- Injuries tell a story - it isn't bad luck with the list we have it's training and the willingness to play. Look how quickly Spurs sick list recovered the last few weeks.

Think we need more than just a new manager though - Board have to get ready to spend.

TO SUMMARISE - FAILED

Anyone up for a demonstration before the next home game? Against Ince and Williams?

I previously stated that the club was heading for disaster - hardly any of you believed me.

A few of us could clearly see that Paul Ince was unqualified for the job and some just wouldn't listen. Well, you reap what you sow. Some of you are now beginning to see that Ince is a light-weight. Some of you ought to see that Williams is just as culpable for this shambles.

I am not too sure about demonstrations FJ but you could clearly hear the home crowd reaction today.

Too much negativity over Ewood mixing with the storm cloud of relegation.

The continued speculation of RSC and Warnock is not going to go away, if this club carries on down this rocky road, we may be cash rich but playerless, and staving off the drop is a battle this club cannot win.

The time to act on the manager stakes is now, not tomorrow or next week, NOW.

RSC looking match fit, Ooijer just back too? Emerton is still out, Olsson was out today with an injury too.

That is still no excuse for a dire second half performance.

I will say again IMO it is still too early to make a change, it is silly to say the chairman and board have little confidence in him as they hired him 3 months ago! The 'honest' thing would be to give him another 5 games before making a decision, one wil moves us to 11th, the situation is poor but it can be turned around.

Are you finally seeing the truth imy? ^_^

There is still time to change this situation and its becoming clearer its not with Ince as manager.

What truth? I have tried to judge PI on the performances on the pitch (unlike some on here), second half was dire, I called it as I saw it.

Sacking PI now is not the answer, backing him is the way to go and I trust the board will make the right decision.

You left out Emerton, who's been important for us this season.

However, I agree that injuries can't be used to explain the whole mess we're in.

Why can't we start with the basics...play people in the position they belong and try sticking with them for a few games.

Rotation is something you can use when you have too many good players, to keep them happy, but we really don't have that "problem".

Get a regular 11 and stick with them. A player really doesn't get in a comfort zone when he's playing different positions all the time and never knows who he'll have next to him on the day..

Even if we go for sacking him, then what on earth will become of Warnock and Roque in such limbo. Id hope they stay till the end of the season at least...

Dream on! They'll jump in January if Hughes clicks his fingers unless we are up there pressing for a top 6 place.

The Walkers really do have to spend some cash this time.

They have 2 options

1- Stick with Ince and go down. From this the walkers will have to spend the money to get out of the division.

2-Pay the money to get rid of Ince and provide a proper transfer budget to the next manager. From this we should be able to attract proper managers.

Either way, money is the solution.

I would also like to say we are becoming like Burnley on the quiet, being down to the bare bones because of the crap training. Plus not having any money to spend.

ROVERS IS BECOMING A CHEAP SKATE CLUB

SG

one thing is certgain, if Rovers persever with this current set up both RSc and Warnock will no longer wear our colours.

Ooijer is certain to leave, Zurab is wanted by Wham, Samba is wanted by Hamburg and City as well. These players will leave at the first opportunity whilst at the same time, the only players coming in will be cast offs and last pay day players whpo wont give a monkeys ar$e about the club or its perilous position.
