Did you hear Mathias' comments from yesterdays game?

In both BBC and Sky interviews, he said something like like "we'll be fine, we have strong characters in the coaching staff" without even mentioning the players. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the players are disliking the current regime given that comment, it certainly fits in with all the hearsay at the moment.

He basically said that the management doesn't rate the players. Ince slagged off everyone apart from RSC and Samba.

There has been a real ding-dong - the management and players are at war with each other and that is very sad to see. Cracks are now beginning to show and a change must be made ASAP.

I thought Mathias just said 'we've got strong characters'. I don't remember him specifying.

Here you go. That's actually longer than the one I heard, but it still doesn't go as far as mentioning the players directly. I'm sure the BBC one was worse, he went on to say something about trying to transfer their characters in to the players.

Given that they haven't got an ounce of top level managerial experience or a coaching badge between them, I'm not in the least bit surprised they're trying to approach the situation in this way. I've no doubt it works in League Two, but you need much, much more to succeed in the Premiership.

Sitting on a fence implies that I am undecided, I am not, I am backing Ince 100%, however as I have stated if the circumstances change my view will change accordingly, that most certainly is not sitting on a fence! :P

no its called fickle!!! or jumping on the "bandwagon"......

I havent read the game thread because i am depressed and just getting shut of hangover. How can a prem manager play a right def player at left back ,a left back in midfield,a midfield on the wing and then when we need to score take a striker off and put another one on and play him in midfield and the take mgp off (who i thought was the best player n the pitch).Inces body language was bad moping around head down hands in pockets is not what i expect I WANT THE MANAGER OF MY TEAM WHEN THINGS ARE BAD TO BE UP RANTING,BOLLIKING AND TRYING TO RAISE THE MOMENTUM AND PASSION.THE SECOND HALF WAS A DISGRASE AND MADE ME ASHAMED OF MY CLUB.WE WERE THAT BAD A SUNDAY PUB TEAM WOULD OF DONE US YESTERDAY.IVE HAD ENOUGH IT WAS HEADLESS CHICKENS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I havent posted this but i was talking to a neighbour of one of our ex captains a few weeks ago, after the utd game and he told him the dressing room was lost then,he said ince is late for training quite a lot too.No idea if its kosher but he said it was what he was told.

Another source.

This is becoming critical. We can now add 'unprofessional' to the list of Ince's faults.

John Williams, do the right thing and sack Paul Ince.

As philipl said, a few people have been saying the same things for it to be just a rumour.

I'm not doubting your next-door neighbour, just concerned that someone else has said that Ince has lost the dressing room.

I just think some people are going well over the top considering how close the table is. Yes we should be looking at our own situation and picking up points in games like Sunderland, Boro and a few others. However, so far it appears it will be a very competitive league this year.

Of course be concerned, as I am with certain things which are going on. Bear in mind though that we do have a horrendous injury list which should be taken into account.

Sacking a manager is not just like a switch and it is not our style (to be knee jerk as still is relatively early days). In our case we would need to have a ready made quality replacement who could take over, as all of the back room staff etc have been brought in by Ince.

Yeah but rumours spread like wildfire and is often reminiscent of Chinese whispers. All you need to hear is one player is upset at the club, which then escalates to every player, and then Ince turning up late for training etc.

Not verified but I heard the same last night. I was told that Hughes was usually first in last out every day whereas Ince is being recognised as mostly late and last in first out of Brockhall. Could any of our resident 'moles' confirm or deny? Personally I'd not mind so much if we were top half!

Jumping on the bandwagon? It is called giving someone a real chance and the assessing a situation. I have given a claer opinion based on what I have seen-

Fickle is what you are and have become because of the success under Hughes, sometimes in life you must take 2 steps backwards to take one forward (and before you try to twist my words two steps back is NOT relegation)

Remind me again, If I have not seen a game "live" at a football ground does that mean that I cannot have an opinion about a game when I have seen the game on TV?

Ince has already said what he thought of the performance, the important game is the next one to see if anything changes.

If you take two back and one forward your still going backwards.

Fickle is what you are and have become because of the success under Hughes, sometimes in life you must take 2 steps backwards to take one forward (and before you try to twist my words two steps back is NOT relegation) SO ITS OK TO KEEP GOING BACKWARDS??? NOT TWISTING WORDS BUT YOU WANT US TO GO BACKWARDS MORE THAN FORWARDS?????

Remind me again, If I have not seen a game "live" at a football ground does that mean that I cannot have an opinion about a game when I have seen the game on TV? TWISTING MY WORDS ...I WASNT SAYING THAT AT ALL YOU LOON.YOU ARE SO VOCIFEROUS FOR ALMIGHTY ONE BUT DONT ATTEND.THE PEOPLE ABROAD WATCH WHEN THEY CAN LIKE I DO WITH BRONCOS AND I GO EVERY TWO YEARS TO A GAME.i WILL TELL YOU WHAT SHRIMPY YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD EVERYONE LEAVING EARLY AND ON THE STREEETS AFTER ,INCE IS A DEAD MAN WALKING.HES IN TOO DEEP AND NOT GOT THE PERSONALITY OR STRENGTH TO CHANGE IT.

Ince has already said what he thought of the performance, the important game is the next one to see if anything changes. DO YOU HONESTLY THINK ANYTHING WILL CHANGE AND WHY....

Those few wins are virtually guarranteed when a new man takes over but in the medium to long term does not ensure success, that is what I meant.

I wonder what the odds are on Hughes being sacked by City and coming back to Rovers, not beyond the realms of fantasy....

I said this in an earlier post. It would be the best possible account imo. Unlikely though eh?

The second half yesterday was totally unacceptable, comfortably the low point of the season to date.

And that's where my head is on the matter - that has to be THE lowest point or it is game over. For me, Ince is on a rolling final warning of one game. Not 3, not 5, but next Sunday against Spurs.

There, we need to see a total reversal of attitude and application from the players, a performance to be proud of AND a result. I don't care that some will be away until Friday on international duty, that excuse has been exhausted. Spurs are still below us in the table, and a defeat there would be the final straw for me.

If Ince can pull that one off, then he deserves a crack at Portsmouth the following weekend, and if the signs remain good then the Quarter Final at Old Trafford and the Liverpool home game as well. Ewood will be a hell of a lot happier on December 6th if those three away games bring in 6 points and a cup Semi Final place.

The "back or sack" poll is revealing, running as it is at approx 60% v 30%. I'd have guessed at 95% v 5% given the weight of posting against the manager, although having said that, it's still the same vocal stuck records who never wanted Ince in the first place who are still making all the noise on here. It seems many readers ignore the crap, but it clearly snowballs as the vultures feed off each others glee at being the biggest Ince critics.

From the unsubstantiated rumours to the open trolling by 2 or 3 prats who break the rules every time they post on here - the groundswell of anti-Ince sentiment on this MB has been a disgrace on what is a SUPPORTERS site - to the extent that I understand it is no longer respected as a barometer of fans views in circles where we would like to think it should be.

One abysmal 45 minute spell of football has diminished my opinion of Paul Ince but I will continue to dismiss all the rubbish which is being bandied around as fact on here. My feelings on the matter will hinge on what happens on the pitch at WHL next Sunday, and I will repeat what I started with - ATTITUDE, PERFORMANCE and RESULT. Nothing less will do.
