Given that so many clubs within the EPL are now owned by foreign dudes (russians, americans, fins, Suadi arabians, Arab Emerits...).. will the EPL become a political battle ground.. sort of like the Space race but more expensive and involving scots, english, irish and welsh people managing most of the teams..

I assume you mean Man Utd vs. Chelsea will become something like Rocky IV? Interesting thought. It may become political as a billionaire from country X buys a club and ends up in exile after falling out with some corrupt leader. They'd then make Britain their home and try to move assets here.
