Billy Castell Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 At least Hamilton, Vettel and the younger drivers can now say they have raced against Michael, and may beat him. I can't wait to see how German Stig race again.

Tango Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 It's proving a thrilling season, with loads of twists and turns, ups and downs! Great to see Massa recovering and the German master coming back, absolutely cannot wait for Valencia! One question though - if Renault are suspended from the next Grand Prix, will there be any fans in the stands if Alonso's not racing?
Grabbi Graeme Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Ferrari had asked the rest of the teams if Scumacher could have 1 day's testing in the car, Williams were the only team to block this. Williams block Schuey test bid Also Piquet Jnr has got the boot from Renault. Piquet contract terminated
adopted scouser Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 and the German master coming back Not now
Al Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Not now Yep. A pain in the neck (in more ways than one).
Tango Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Dammit! I suppose it was going to be a big ask for him to come back, I didn't realise he'd had a neck injury too. I take it Ferrari'll use one of their test drivers for the rest of the season.
benhben Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Dissapointing news. Was looking forward to him raching against the young guns.
Presty On Tour Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Think this was on Top Gear news the other week, this car is subzero cool! The F430's successor, called Ferrari 458 Italia, it will be launched in Frankfurt next month. Maranello has finally revealed the mid-engined V8 replacement for the Ferrari F430. The Ferrari 458 Italia powered by a 4.5-liter V8 and and 540 nm of torque which which uses about 13.7 liters of fuel per 100 KM. Thanks to its aluminum structure, it weights at just 3,042 pounds. Acceleration to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 3.4 seconds and a maximum speed in excess of 325 km/h. "No word yet on pricing, but it will replace the F430, which has a base price of around $188,000. Sad news about Schumacher too.
Tango Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Not surprisingly Renault won their appeal against the race ban for this weekend, less worry about empty seats in the grandstands now!
Grabbi Graeme Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Barrichello has won the Italian GP, with Button second and Raikkonen third. Hamilton crashed out on final lap while in third place. Going to be an exciting final 4 races Button leads Barrichello by 14 points.
Stevo Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Come on Rubens! Been a massive Barrichello fan since he joined Ferrarri, it would be so fitting if he could win the drivers championship this season. The man deserves it, he has had such a long journey in F1. If he failed to win the championship however, it would be nice to see Button win I guess...
Tango Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Just when you thought that there couldn't be anymore twists to this F1 season, Renault are not appealing their charge of fixing the Singapore Grand Prix last season. Briatore and Simmonds have both left the team, but don't expect them to be the only casualties. Renault themselves will almost certainly be another. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8258987.stm
thenodrog Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 The worst cheating in any sport ever An Italian cheating in order to win??? Well I never! Who would have thought it? They say you should never judge a book by it's cover but I think I'd rather drive a car of Briattores rather than buy one off him. Anyway Gunner... 'worst cheating ever'? Were you not at Selhurst Park?
American Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I can think of at least a half a dozen worse, and that is lumping all of the point shaving incidents into one.
Grabbi Graeme Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 A good win for Hamilton today, also a good race for Button finishing in front of Barrichello, a 15pt lead for Button in the drivers championship with 3 races to go.
Presty On Tour Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 The Singapore GP looks the business but the track makes it one of the most boring circuits on the calendar. The night sky with the lights and amazing scenery is all well and good but they should of designed the track with more overtaking opportunities. I suppose it's more of a drivers test of mental strength and team strategy, a bit like Monaco. Just think it's a shame.
Grabbi Graeme Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 It is like Monaco in respect of overtaking, and as you say picture wise with the lighting it does look great but it seems more an endurance race for driver and car.
benhben Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Jenson Button is now world champion. One of the more exciting races this season, with plenty of overtaking. Good to have another Englishman as world Champ!
Hughesy Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Congrats to Jensen.... Good job Brawn had a good start to the championship though!
