RevidgeBlue Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Strange to read a post like that considering the level of opposition there was to the signing of Dunn for a measly 1m plus add ons at the time.

rovgers Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I might be a bit cynical but wheres the proof that dunns injured?
dingles staying down 4ever Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I might be a bit cynical but wheres the proof that dunns injured? He has not played since half time in the Hull game
den Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Dunn out for four months with an achilles injury.
67splitscreen Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 As expected, the confirmed bad news by LET. Dunn ruled out for four months
rovgers Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I might be a bit cynical but wheres the proof that dunns injured? Whoops, I've certainly been made to eat my words now!! Get well soon dunny,we need you!!
joey_big_nose Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 To be fair Dunn always gets these injuries. A lot of last season under Hughes he was unavailable. Its a shame because he is a tremendous player on song, but this has always been his weakness. I don' see what option Ince has apart from to get Carlos involved. Andrews looks like he can pass a bit, but apart from that we literally have no creative players. Treacy looks like he can stick in a decent cross but he isn't a player with guile.
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Huge blow to the team. He was starting to look like the Dunny of old, making those skilful forward runs and really driving forward.
Majiball Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Big loss, given our current crop of central midfielders its time to add in a 3rd with this. I hope he can comeback from this strong, he must think he's cursed.
Nelsonfan Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Big loss. He was really showing some of his best form imo as well.
Plastic Head Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 We knew this would happen when we bought him back. That's why we paid a fraction of the price we sold him for. Bad timing though.
67splitscreen Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I wonder if the club will changes it's current vocal stance (JW) now on a signing of an out of contract player.
G Somerset Rover Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Dunny out til the new year, Grella (our major summer signing don't forget) out for at least one month. Does anybody else get the feeling that we're one RSC injury away from being bottom three come the turn of the year?
Mr. E Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Dunny out til the new year, Grella (our major summer signing don't forget) out for at least one month. Does anybody else get the feeling that we're one RSC injury away from being bottom three come the turn of the year? we'll be there regardless I'm afraid. Everything that could have gone wrong this season has gone wrong. And we really didn't deserve it to happen to us.
92er Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 we'll be there regardless I'm afraid. Everything that could have gone wrong this season has gone wrong. And we really didn't deserve it to happen to us. Not quite-the Everton kid could have scored in the 92nd min after Robinson's mistake.
MCMC1875 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 we'll be there regardless I'm afraid. Everything that could have gone wrong this season has gone wrong. And we really didn't deserve it to happen to us. You make your own luck I'm afraid. That nice Mr Williams was fine with a strong manager but we could have done with a more ruthless chairman this year.
T4E Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Forsooth me Lady. Me, Jal and Tugay4England will sharpen our blades and bob around one night if the mags decide to look elsewhere. Whilst we're there perhaps we could negotiate a straight swap for Mike Ashley?
tcj_jones Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I feared a long term injury to Dunn when he was first subbed off. This is horrible news. It's time for Carlos to be introduced to the first team.
den Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 To me, the worst part of all this, is that we're going to be really lacking attacking flair now, but Dunny isn't the best midfielder in the prem either, if you get my drift.
blue phil Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 My reaction to Dunny's lates injury is a shrug of the shoulders . He's hardly there regular enough to be missed when he isn't !
