Superb 1st half from the sound of it. Newcastle sound demoralised and the crowd have booed them off. Kevin Gallagher just said it could have been 0-5! :rover: Kiss of death if ever there was one!

We must beware of letting them back in 2nd half. 1-2 with time left on the clock will be uncomfortable with that crowd behind em.

Beautiful. Newcstle are so utterly, utterly sh*t even we can't screw it up. But we will if we go at it easy in the 2nd half like many times like last season. Now is the time to rip them apart from pillar to post. We need to attack, not defend. Big job for Ince to get this right. C'mon Rovers

Anyone who didn't put cash on us at 2/1 must be feeling a little sorry for themselves, needless to say my wallet will be bulging tonight :)

Spread the love?

Things are going great. Let's hope the team don't lose their heads and let Newcastle back into the game.

Hats off to Ince. Not only has he mixed and matched the personnel from the last two games but he has also completely changed the tactical system. We are playing 4231:

-------------------Cruz

------Derbs------Carlos-----Emerton

-----------Warnock----Tugay

--Olsson---Nelsen----Samba----Simpson

-------------------Brown

The man has obviously gone for this to deal with the Newcastle threat down the flanks, retain the ball and use Carlos. Tugay has been told to stroll it to save his energy but with the others around him that is working well.

Ince might say y'know 17 times a minute but he is proving to be an adventurous and astute tactician.

We are so secure at the back with the pace of Samba, Nelsen and Olsson with Warnock screening. I am very impressed - although obviously Newcastle are in a bad way at the moment.

Watching live. Playing well throughout...........Carlos puts in great corners and free kicks.

Samba may have been offside for the first goal....

Santa's goal was brilliant........

..........gotta go.................they are showing robbie's super quick hat trick for liverpool against arsenal!!!

I am really enjoying watching this game on the internet. To see us dominating with our passing, moving and overally creativity really is a joy. Against West Ham and Arsenal our midfield looked poor and lacked creativty but today, with different personnel, it is running the show.

At the moment Ince is a hero but if Newcastle get so much as a sniff, he could go from hero to zero. Hold it together lads and remember attack is the best form of defence!

Yes. Newcastle are the worst team I have seen this season:

Goal attempts on target 0-7

Possession 54% to Rovers

Duff was tricky for the first 15 min but subsided.

First to the ball everywhere on the pitch. Very impressive. Not quite clicking up front yet..........but it sure is an attacking line-up.
