chileandude Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 I would like to see us have a real go and if we do we could pinch it, I honestly believe. If we go down by 3 or so goals cos of having a go at least we would have tried. If we go down by few goals and haven't put them under any pressure then it will be annoying! That's the spirit!

USRoverME Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Is there any way we can get Incey to go off on United as being "violent" or "dirty" ala Wenger towards us, I mean after all, ManU have played 1 less game, yet they've seen 3 more yellows and 1 more red card than we have this season. When was the last time we faced a team below us in the diciplinary table?
philipl Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Looking at the current table, this has the look of a must win even at this stage for the Mancs. Should add to the spice of the occasion.

brightonrover Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I'd rather go down fighting rather than try to get a draw which would probably mean getting beat anyway. I hope Ince goes for it with an attacking formation.
waynerovers Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 we win, I dreamt it and my football dreams are usually accurate.
Jim J Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 we win, I dreamt it and my football dreams are usually accurate. Me too, but in my dream we won 3-0, just cant see it happening. Feeling a bit nervous about this game, i'd be happy with a point. Its been a while since we've had a controversial decision cost us in this fixture, so I'll go for 1-0 to the ref!!
LeftWinger Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Couple of interesting things: Manchester United have managed just one win at Ewood Park in their last eight visits since 1999; that being 0-1 on 11 November 2006 when Louis Saha got the winner. I saw that. In those 8 games - we've won 3, drawn 3 and lost 1. Of the three that were drawn we were winning with 15 minutes to go in each of them, and winning with 2 minutes to go in two of them. (Beckham 78, Tevez 88, Smith 90) Salvaging points for the red scum. Unfortunately the man of the match in many of these games was Friedel!
BuckyRover Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Wonder what the odds are on a Paul Robinson motm? (I read somewhere he was in the squad)
Majiball Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 whats this "we" phil? and yes we do,i know quite a few who are not /wont/cant afford £35 .If i didnt have a season ticket and bought tickets one by one i wouldnt pay £35 either. It was £38.00 for the gunners game in JW upper my gooner mate was happy to pay it he said it was a bargain. I had a good feeling last year with money on 1-0 and RSC to score, I hate tevez. Today I am nervous and will just be happy with a good performance as long as that happens who knows.

We're actually top of the table if you take into account fouls against and not just cards, hardly in a position to go slating others!
AussieinUk Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 We're actually top of the table if you take into account fouls against and not just cards, hardly in a position to go slating others! Funny you should say that, because according to this Right Result Panel - we should be in the drop zone.
BuckyRover Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 It doesn't mean anything though. I think Bolton had a good chance of holding on against Man Utd until "that penalty" but that doesn't affect the points because Man Utd scored again.
Mike Graham Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 BLOODY ROYAL MAIL !!!!! I am off to the Rugby League at Old Trafford today instaed of Ewood. I posted my 2 ST's to a fellow BRFCS.COM member on Tuesday (1st class) from Hoghton to Chorley and they have not arrived. There will probably be 2 dirty Manc numpties in my seats today. It would have been quicker walking backwards from Hoghton to Chorley than Royal Snail Mail.

There wont be its is my policy for these games to have away fans like man u scum turfed out of our areas, and todya Mike for you I will make it so !!! the dirty red scum
AggyBlue Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 In those 8 games - we've won 3, drawn 3 and lost 1. Ummmm what happened in the other Anyway I've mixed feeling about today. A good feeling about the game and a bad feeling about the ensuing mayhem afterwards. 1 - 0 to the Rovers.

I remember santa cruz scoring, after a mistake at the back by united he's left one on one with the keeper and slots it in with his left however the validity of the dream was somewhat tainted after santa cruz celebrated with rovers right back who happened to be black, as far as i'm aware this player doesn't exist

DeadlyDirk Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 The players are always up for a game against Man Utd and I'm sure Ince will be as well, I can see us getting a result today, 1-1, otherwise one goal will settle it either way, let's just hope it isn't one of their famous late winners!
Nelsta Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 It's gonna be either a tonkin of 4 goals and played of the park. Or another famous United dodgy desicion i feel. Not holding out much hope at all to be honest.

Thats the spirit I had a dream - Carlos wins the match with a hit trick announcing his arrival on the Premiership stage - well, we can all dream can't we
Lurid Coat Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I had a dream - Carlos wins the match with a hit trick announcing his arrival on the Premiership stage - well, we can all dream can't we Hopefully Carlos will actually see at least some action today, he's been dropped to the bench. Team: Brown, Ooijer, Samba, Nelsen ©, Olsson, Tugay, Warnock, Derbyshire, Emerton, Pedersen, Santa Cruz. Subs: Bunn (GK), Mokoena, Andrews, Villanueva, Fowler, Treacy, Roberts.
Nelsta Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Is Pedersen on the right? i hope not he was bobbins there last time.
Amo Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 We'll either fall apart and get stonked, or give them what for and still lose. I'm not being negative for the sake of it. Just a gut feeling.
philipl Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 High risk line-up. Ooijer could get killed for pace at right back, got to hope we have the old super man Nelsen and a lack of grit with all of Tugay, MGP and Derbyshire starting. Brown will need to play a blinder. We've just slipped behind West Brom on goal difference and the Mancs will be kicking off in 13th place. Capello was at Wigan so presumably he is being whisked over to Ewood right now.
