Saw Steve Coogan's show at the KGH last night. It was pretty funny - first half he kept forgetting his script and had to have it written on his hands. Second half was mainly Alan Partridge which was much funnier.

What other good acts are people going to see in the coming months?

Actually going to King Georges tonight t'see Coogan.

Funny you say about forgetting his lines, apparently he had to read from his notes when forgetting his lines somewhere in Stoke the other night.

How long was he on for?

About an hour first half. 45 minutes or so second half. The last song he does is very, very funny if you're a bit juvenile like me :D

Cheers rth, better wait till the end then <_<

I went last night. That was hilarious! I can see that being used on the terraces.

Enjoyed Steve from his Manchester show at the Palace a few years ago paying half of this year ticket price..These shows are becoming too too expensive. ....but then if they sell out fair enough.....

Thing about forgetting lines is, if you can either make it into a routine on the spot, or just try to ad lib with success, you could be on to a winner. Otherwise you end up like Ricky Gervais at Live Earth.

Kudos to Coogan for doing KGH, not a great one for the comedy circuit. I like seeing comedians (other than certain Rovers players) so Manchester more of a venue.

Anyone going to see Jim Jeffries in Manc on 20th? Saw him earlier in the year, like his style. Crude, offensive, but so very very funny with it.

Was considering Frankie Boyle, tho will prob miss this one, but hoping to catch Ed Byrne.

Seen Jim many many times over the Years in Manchester..(his show is on CD)If you like Jim Jeffries ,I think Aussie Brendan Burns(Burnsey!) is coming to Blackburn..Sells out in Manchester & Edinburgh every year...Totally unbroacastable on TV

Yep - got tickets to Jim Jefferies at the Comedy Store on Monday night - really looking forward to that. Some of his routines I've seen have physically hurt I've laughed that much

Went to see The Mighty Boosh in Liverpool last night and it was very, very good.

Very cleverly written and extremely entertaining/funny show.

Was a letter in LET 1 or 2 days ago about steve coogans performance, said he was absolutly dire and that they should get their money backa nd they would definetly not go back and see him again...

Just got back from Jim Jefferies at the Comedy Store in Manchester. BRILLIANT - better than Steve I'm afraid. Highly recommended if you don't mind extreme bad taste.
