Worst case scenario so far, 38 points; and we have been above that since the 4th game. Best case scenario 63 points. Likely final total 50-54 points. First season under a new manager? Not bad i suggest. Think we are lucky to be where we are? Disappointed with performances? Ask fans of Spurs, Newcastle, City, Boro, Everton if they'd rather swop places! All teams who might have expected to finish above us after finding out that Hughes had left. Average getting lower? The worst it can be after the next 3 games is 1.0 and 38 points (16th/17th) , the best 1.75 and 67 points (5th). Be sure that 38 points will guarantee safety this season. The big 4 will amass more points than last year (.. .. anyone want to bet against this?) ; so the bottom 3 will certainly be below 37/38 points. As it stands, with a new manager, building his own team, a finish between 8th and 12th would be considered satisfactory this season. Have a poll; go on. How many points would you be satisfied with? 50+ would generate a massive 80% = happy from the realists on this board. Only the heads in the clouds fans would think that this would be disappointing.
