Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 It's almost stunning how the curse hits them. Just 1 day after Christmas they lost. Hardly a gradual thing. Long may it continue.
Claytons Left Boot Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 A bit nostalgic. I was on that train two weeks later following the Rovers to Watford. (We won 3-1) Me as well. The Ewood Express was pretty good too. Great to see Burnley on the slide!
dingles staying down 4ever Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Quality! Check the guy out eating at around the 1:25 mark - nice hat. Following Dingles you'd have expected him to have enough of tripe never mind eating the stuff!
Mike Graham Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 some of them Dingle birds were not to bad looking.
yoda Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 some of them Dingle birds were not to bad looking. It used to be a good night at the Hop in Burnley!
Mr Creosote Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Never, ever thought I'd say this, but............ COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!
RevidgeBlue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Never, ever thought I'd say this, but............ COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!! Ditto, can't stand either club but can't stand the thought of the Dingles at the new Wembley before us. Worryingly, I think they have a good chance of turning the pretty inept Spuds over.
ben_the_beast Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Well may i be the first to say. Good luck Burnley. They're there on merit at the moment and I can't stand the thought of spuds getting to another final. Big club my arse!
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Ditto, can't stand either club but can't stand the thought of the Dingles at the new Wembley before us. Worryingly, I think they have a good chance of turning the pretty inept Spuds over. I hate Spurs so much these days but I guess I have to support them, lets hope that its found out that they have both fielded ineligable players and are kicked out! For anyone that's interested Spuds have put out their strongest team, still crap though obviously. I think it also shows just what a big difference there is between the premiership and the championship as well considering how bad the dingles team looks on paper and there flying high in the league,
RevidgeBlue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I think it also shows just what a big difference there is between the premiership and the championship as well considering how bad the dingles team looks on paper and there flying high in the league, Not much between the teams in the first ten minutes. I wouldn't actually have thought there's much difference between the top of the Championship and bottom of the Prem in a one off situation. P.S. All the Burnley fans are roundly booing Bentley! I guess that's one thing we can agree on!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Spurs are ####. If Chelsea had played a proper team and not fannied about, and Arsenal too, we wouldn't be saying this. Looks like they are gonna get their cup final.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 1-0 Burnley on 14 mins. Fully deserved. Sliced through Spuds like a knife through butter! Edit: Blake desperately unlucky not to have made it 2-0 on 23 mins. Whither the tactical genius wot is 'arry?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Blake just nearly scored. Free header.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Other than Mahon who else has played for us and the Dingles?
RevidgeBlue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Other than Mahon who else has played for us and the Dingles? Going back a bit (80's?) a very ordinary central midfielder called Marshall Burke.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Keith Newton John Connelly Kevin Hird Paul Comstive Marshall Burke ?
RevidgeBlue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Kevin Hird, I thought Hird played for Colne Dynamoes, not Burnley?
tony gale's mic Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Come on Spurs! Jesus they're the worst team ever aren't they, their flukey cup win over Chelsea last year denied us a place in Europe (along with Portsmouth's FA Cup win) and now they're losing to Burnley. God I hate this club.
