Mr Creosote Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I thought Hird played for Colne Dynamoes, not Burnley? Nope, Colne born though. Played quite a few games for the Dirties. Then blotted his copybook with the Yahoos by stating that Rovers were his club!

DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks guys, there all before my time pretty much really, couple of the names ring a bell.
benhben Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 That Eagles does look a decent player. Not so sure about his boots though Bright yellow? :s Have to say even though it pains me to do so, Burnley do look a decent footballing side nowadays.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Eagles might be a useful addition? Looks better than the right midfielder playing for Spurs!
den Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Well deserved half time lead. Burnley playing well.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Lennon is getting in good positions but he can't cross. They just need to run at the Dingles. Can see them holding on. Burnley United final.
CrazyIvan Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Looks better than the right midfielder playing for Spurs! Lennon has been poor. Bentley (playing left) has been taking on every shot he can. Some ridiculous ones too! I have to say this is the best Dingle side I've ever seen. They play good football! Jesus, never thought I'd say that...
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 David Hamilton. Gordon Cowans. Ah forgot old Gordon, think he only played a handful of games for them at the end of his career though didn't he? Must have played for about 10 clubs!
den Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Lennon is getting in good positions but he can't cross. I thought that could be coached into a player?
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Burnley to win the cup against a weak Utd team and getting into Europe the same season as getting promoted to the premiership, meanwhile we get relegated. ..... In their dreams!!!!!!
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Didn't Andy Cole play for both sides? Sure i remember him being on loan there for a short time. Dingles deserve to be leading, hard to cheer either side or want one to win as i hate both clubs, though i think i hate Spurs more.
CrazyIvan Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Burnley to win the cup against a weak Utd team and getting into Europe the same season as getting promoted to the premiership, meanwhile we get relegated. ..... In their dreams!!!!!! ...and our nightmares!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Yeah Cole played for them. Traitor.
alexanders Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Burnley United final. Choosing between cancer and Ebola. The ONLY two club badges that are hanging behind the door on the boardroom on Ewood Park
Fife Rover Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Now do you doubting Thomas's believe that Owen Coyle is a good manager? Too B****y good for Burnley that's for sure!!!!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Coyle is a good manager. That's why he needs pinching asap.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Didn't Andy Cole play for both sides? Sure i remember him being on loan there for a short time. Dingles deserve to be leading, hard to cheer either side or want one to win as i hate both clubs, though i think i hate Spurs more. Good call!
andyrover Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 i hope they win tonight then get humped in the 2nd leg
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 That Eagles is a decent player, there have been rumours in the press that United have a 'first option' buy back clause if he was to be sold. From what i gather they rated him pretty highly and didn't want him to go, but he obviously wanted first team football. Looks like the Rovers curse really has struck Bentley, he looks total crap now...
Helmshore blue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I had to have a bet on burnley at half time, just to soften the blow if they do manage to win tonight.
