Match ended 1-1, Burnley were ahead but Ipswich equalised. Dos Santos was a class above everyone else, as was Campo. In fact, Campo was the best player on the pitch... surprised at how intelligent he was on the pitch, what he lacks in speed he made up for in anticipation and general clever play. Very impressed with him. Burnley looked dangerous when they attacked, but they spent a lot of the match waiting to counter attack, and Ipswich could definately have won the match, had it not been for a combination of shocking Roberts-style one-on-one misses and Lisbie/Miller thinking they were playing for Burnley.

This may be a pro-Burnley thread but cmon BRFCS its ONLY 28 days to "30 years and counting"

Any chance of celebrating this at the Wigan home match on 25th April?

We need a banner that stays at the ground attached to a stand(like at MUFC,like "the Holte End is the 12th man"etc)

Any organisers...I will donate BUT we have to do something.

I feel a plane trip coming on!

I rather hoped that Sam would have brought him in on the cheap in January. He's slow now but what a player he's been. Makes Makalele look Joe Ordinary. 90 mins shared between him and Tugay as deep sitters might have worked well.

Now then fellas.

As ever thanks for the kind words.

We are still in with a slim chance of the play offs. Ipswich was the first of 3 away games on the bounce (Plymouth next then Derby). In truth I think we will do well to get 3 points from the three games and we also have Cardiff away yet to come so it will be a big ask for us to stay in the top 6 come season end.

That said if we can manage it, then who knows? The play offs are like 3 huge cup games and we have done well on those occasions this year so as slim as the chance is, there is still a possibility that we will make the prem next year and as hard as that will be for us, the financial benefit (assuming it is managed well) is such that it is worth a season of getting hammered - and a chance to end your 30 years and counting clock!!!

I'm assuming Big Sam is working his magic and you are now safe this year?

No Abbey, no kind words from you, which is reassuring.

I do apologise, my point was not well made. What I really wanted to ask was that although your league postion is still somewhat precarious, have the chnages under Allardyce made you believe that you will remain out of the bottom 3 and possibly even climb a few places?

I'll be a bit more polite here and answer Longsider. I think there is a semi-confidence that we'll stay up, as opposed to the utter dispair felt under Ince, but it'll be a case of musical chairs between the many teams down the bottom, and no-one knows who will get caught out when the music stops. Other than West Brom that is.

For my part, I thought a few weeks back that we were odds on to go down. Now - maybe slight odds in favour of staying up.

That could all change Saturday evening though.

Oops, just realised what you were asking :) . Simple - under Ince we were going down. Basically, everything he did, from sales, to buys, to tactics was wrong.

For my part the departure of Ince was akin to that of Souness. I really thought he was bringing you down. When Big Sam was appointed I expected you to survive, you have good enough players.

Mind you, there could be a few fans about to get a lesson in humility up in the North East.

Your sister is safe tonight then?

This is all you've got left now. Endless tired permutations of 'sister' 'inbred' etc.. ad infinitum.. ad nauseum.

Jealously watching Coyle's total football carry the super Clarets to promotion as you slip from the gravy train, kicking and spitting your way to oblivion.

The Championship needs a new Charlton or Leeds. Well volunteered guys.

how stupid coming from someone who's signature is a link to Hyde's consolation goal at Ewood,

in another defeat for the mighty mini's.

maybe after you play in the top flight for 15-16 years, enjoy numerous european away trips and then go 30 years without rovers beating you,

then we may have nothing left

oh, and the history books show you are only 7 major trophies behind your nearest and dearest, so do catch up quickly old chap.

is it cold, over their under our constant shadow?

Can the Dingles begin to dream of filling their tiny turf ground

Its burnleys best season in years, they've been giving away thousands of free tickets since Christmas and still the struggle to get decent gates.

Whats happened to the biggest and best supported club in the world?

You're not worth any more effort than that.

When thinking about Burnley I always recall the following:

"When I die I'm going to heaven because I've already been to hell"

On Friday the gas man came round to check my boiler.

Said his next call was in Accrington.

I told him he was lucky it wasn't Burnley.

He said all the gas fitters hate going to Burnley - there's something about the place and all the boarded up houses give them the shudders.
