Claytons Left Boot Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Mods, is there any way you can remove the word 'pro' from the title of this thread? I have hated Burnley with a passion for as long as I can remember. I saw my first derby game at Ewood in 1970 and apart from the relatively recent FA Cup game at Turf Moor (when I was abroad), I have never missed a game between us, be it League, Cup, Friendly or Manx/Lancs Cup. The sight of the words 'pro Burnley' is sitting rather uneasily with me. Thanks in advance.

Ossydave Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 You won't get a reply. I tried asking a similar question a while back. From his post I would say a fair distance from East Lancs. I hope they get a complete drubbing............and I hope the team get stuffed also. Still un-answered
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 They are looking good this year. Hopefully they'll do their usual Christmas plunge. We could do with Coyle being pinched by a proper club so they lose momentum.
philipl Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 If you remember, Burnley had a terrible start to the season. So they are currently THE form team of their league.
OhmiBRFC Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Aren't Burnley one of those teams in the Championship? Who cares? People from Blackburn care!
philipl Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Stan Ternent leaves Huddersfield Following BIG CLUB's home defeat by Coventry last night, I have to say that the possibility of the dingles getting an automatic promotion place came closer.
trs Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 No pro Burnley from this fella http://www.blackburncitizen.co.uk/sport/bl...shion_designer/
trs Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Well 6,000 flat capped dingles have now set off for the bright lights of dat der London town. Are the remaining 99.9% of Rovers fans going to join Gav in wishing them all the best?

Are the remaining 99.9% of Rovers fans going to join Gav in wishing them all the best? Yeah, all the best in negotiating that 50 mile stretch of black ice in beetween Birmingham and Stoke later tonight.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Take a peak at Clarets mad, their like kids in a sweet shop...makes you wonder if they have ever been outside of Burnley before in their lives!
1864roverite Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Come on guys they have only ever been to 2 premiership grounds before its no wonder they are all excited.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 If they scrape a win we'll never hear the end of it. Hopefully it's a Chelsea rout and a long drive home in the cold for the Dingles.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 If they score a goal we'll never hear the ruddy last of it either!
92er Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 According to the LT, and with thanks to Claret mad, Burnley fans are travelling from around the world for the big match. Fans are coming from Northern Italy, Bordeaux, Prague and Madrid. Capt John is flying in from Riyan, Yemen via Dubai. Someone else from Windhoek in Namibia, whilst Dumbarton and Aberdeen will also see bases for other Burnley fans. I hope we are all impressed.
trs Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Must admit they have just knocked out one very loud no nay never

It's amazing how far some people will go to avoid living in Burnley isn't it?
dopper69 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 It's amazing how far some people will go to avoid living in Burnley isn't it? Ha, ha, excellent!
philipl Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Dingles playing against 10. Do santos has done a hammy and Chelski had already used all three subs.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 This could well go to penalties. If it was Cech, I'd think Chelsea would win. But it's Cudicini, and Burnley have the Beast...
Backroom Tom Posted November 12, 2008 Backroom Posted November 12, 2008 Burnley win on pens, fair play to them, well deserved. now lets get them at Ewood
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I knew it. I had this feeling Burnley would win and we'd get them in the draw on Saturday.
Ninjathunder Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Not a good time to be playing them. Well at home at least.
