Funniest thing I've read in ages, amazing work.

I'm actually hoping that Burnley reach the final, and have their Premier League dreams crushed due to a fluke goal scored by an opposition player standing 20 yards offside in the 95th minute.

I'd rather see an own goal by Jay Rodrigues...

Just been talking to someone who went yesterday, and he was not happy as someone put a rovers flag up in Burnlet town center. Also reminded me they could have financial problems if they go up as they promised free season tickets if they went up. If they are struggling this year what will it be like next season with reduced income?

How could anybody be 'not happy' about a rivals flag on a day when we get a play off win?????? No mention of this flag on claretsmad, so would need to see it to believe it (no bad fires yesterday either!!

The free season tickets will only cost the club a couple of million, the extra revenue from the prem would be about 25 times that, plus extra money with the extra 'fans' we would get.

We are not 'struggling this year'. Well not as much as we usually do anyway!!

Thanks for caring.

That's not what I've heard.

yorky I am just going off a previous post where it said your wage bill is more than you can afford.(and will go up next season) plus transfers, you owe your landlord money. OK your not in trouble.

http://www.crainsmanchesterbusiness.co.uk/...983/1134/sports

Why will the wage bill go up next season? Fair enough, IF we go up, it would, but with one or two top earners like Ade out of contract if we are short of cash they will be replaced with cheaper options.

As for the landlord thing, the Turf is now owned by a company that is owned 51% by our Chairman and 49% by another board member, so in reality it is just a paper debt that they do not expect to be paid, like a Directors loan.

Can't get your link to work.

Compared to a few years ago (times when we could only put 3 subs on the bench) things seem to be on the up, no serious external debt, and there was no need to sell players in January for once.

Oh for it to be that easy, yorky?

In reality, it gets more difficult and complicated because you're playing in the big league and it needs bigger deals to stay there.

Wen Y Hu lives with his parents, wears a lot of black and knows the name of every minor character in the Star Wars films.

You seem to be using Star Wars as a term of derision ... something you wouldn't want to be associated with. How do you explain THIS then?

yorky this link might work. I meant IF you go up your wages will increase. My original point was IF you go up it could cost the club a lot of money. As for the going for the cheaper option what is the point, IF you go up to bigger and far better standard of football why get rid of your better players and go for less?. it"s like going from Big Sam and Sparky to Ince It's not nice. As for the Landlord comment it was tongue in cheek but do the club own the ground and training ground, as i understand it the two directors paid off some debt the club had and used the ground and training ground as a type of insurance. If this is not the Case I stand corrected.

Only a Dingle could be as numb as to make a statement like that, there are loads of "cheaper options" in the Premier League aren't there...

Dear me.

Got my ticket for Tuesday and a seat on Accy Clarets, just out of interest are the other Clarets on here going?

Got a ticket yesterday via an unfortunate fellow Claret who can't make it. Bonus.

Lucky really, as we were over-subscribed by about 473,000.

Next stop Wembley. We'll take 3 million fans there.

Burnley didn't deserve that they were crap and looked a bag of nerves.....only half time folks.

Don Goodman..."well its took untill the 89th minute, but we finally have an atmosphere!"

BTW Samdingle, your a one off indeed...a Burnley fan who doesn't like to shout off about how they are the best supported club in the world?!?

We did look nervy - Reading were not much better. Play Off first legs are often this way, both teams more worried about losing than winning, neither sure whether to go for it or not.

Tuesday will be very difficult and both teams will need to up their game. In some respects I might almost have prefered to go down there level, knowing that we have to win. If we are tempted to start trying to protect a 1 goal lead we could end up on the wrong side of a right thumping. We still have it all to do and are still very much the underdog. Readding have some very good players and I suspect tomorrow will be a very very hard day at the office for our team.

Agree the atmosphere was not at its best - again I think a lot of nerves amongst the fans. Somebody said earlier I hope none of these clubs fans have the temerity to comment on our support - dare I suggest Rovers fans are hardly in a position to comment on atmospheres at other grounds, lets be frank here Ewood has hardly been a cauldron of passion in recent years.

Well Longsiders, all I can add is , all the best. It's fantastic when your team does something special.

I hope Bumley makes it, just for my F-I-L. That what he would have wanted, even though he hated what football had become. (not on free to air TV, thus depriving those that couldn't afford)

Longsiders, the problems begin when you actually make it.

There are fans expectation, the problems of getting the personnel to keep you there, the demands from those that got you there.

The added imposts on those long suffering fans.

I sometimes wonder why it's worth the effort, but for some, it's just with you when you are born, it's in the genes.

Let us hope that Nob End do the business and beat Sheff United tonight, Reading over turn their decifit by 2 clear goals tomorrow and set up a final between the 2 sides, with Nob End winning the final. Maybe we will then be able to get rid of all the Dingles that have been polluting our forums of late. Not that I can understand why any of them have signed up to a Rovers forum! Doesn't bare thinking about having our knuckle dragging friends in argubaly the greatest league on Earth.
