Seconded (why don't you sensible ones post on here more often?)

I think you'll find the hatred comes from the Dingle camp, Rovers fans don't actually care about the clarets as they are no threat to us as a club.

If you are promoted next season there will be two very interesting games on both our fixture lists, we will both be as confident and as nervous about the home and away local derby ties. I for one would rather have North West teams in the top flight than the likes of Pompey, Reading, Charlton etc. My strong feeling against the Dingles are due to the shear lack of respect the Dingles show to the Rovers in general and how they hate us with a passion.

If you are promoted you will get a real shock to the system when you have got to play class opposition week in week out.

But what will that add to next years fixtures for us?

A Lancashire - Yorkshire derby.

Let's hope and pray that Sheff United do the business bank holiday Monday. Really don't want the animals from Burnley ruining the best league on Earth.

Morts got it right here. This will be the biggest shock footballing wise, the other one is financial.

Things I’ve heard today:

“Will 37,000 tickets be enough?”

“We’ll out support Blackburn if we’re in the same division”

“Will 40,000 tickets be enough?”

“We’re a bigger club than Sheff Utd with bigger support”

“Will 42,000 tickets be enough?”

“Last time we went to Wembley we took just under 40,000”

“Can we buy the tickets that Sheff Utd don’t sell”

If that is true Gav then you clearly know some complete idiots.

Tickets don't go on sale until tomorrow - and then only to ST holders. Last time out we took (I think) 36,000 against Stockport. It was much cheaper then and this time we may find we have some left as it is incredibly expensive. I cannot imagine there is any chance we would need more than 37000 - would Rovers in a similar position?

Clearly we won't outsell Sheffield United, population of Sheffield 530,000, population of Burnley 89,000.

Morning ladies.

The frustration, bitterness, anger and denial I've just browsed through from last night on here caps a wonderful 24 hours.

The Dingles playing beautiful football in the Premier League. You lot desperately srummaging around with Fat Sam's hoofball.

It'll be great.

I would be happy to play hoofball if it keeps us in the Premiership. West Brom play fancy football and look where they are. If you do come up atleast Derby will be happy, there record will stand a chance of getting broke.

I can understand the people who say they don't mind if the dingles come up, as it would add two "must see" games to our fixture list next season instead of two nothing games against Sheffield Utd.

However with knowing a couple of dingles plus knowing there keeper Brian Jenson, i just can't route for them.

I'll be a blade on the 25th of May!

Fair do's to Burnley. They deserved their success last night and this season. Although it's too early to tell for real I suspect like many that Coyle is the real deal manager wise, he has that Moyes presence about him. That being said we haven't seen him perform under adversity yet, still, credit where its due for the results so far.

Do I wish them continued success - no not really, but then I don't wish them bad luck either. I don't agree with those on this thread who think it would be a good thing them coming up. Our team is threadbare and Sams got no money to improve it, under that scenario you have to consider what it may feel like to be whupped by the Dingles (the stuff of nightmares surely), that would be a bad bad feeling right? If they hold on to Coyle and get a good first season (and we don't) then they become that bit more attractive to the players we will both be trying to sign. Over a period they 'could' actually start to pull away. How good would that be? This isn't defeatist or running scared it's just realism. Best to be wise before the event and if asked to cheer on a Burnley Wembley win I'll say 'no thanks'.

Both towns have their fair share of n*bs in their support but Burnley have a lot more. On that count do we want a return to the trashing of the Darwen End or fights kicking off outside the ground? Would it happen? Duh, yes of course. So why would I wish that on anybody?

Exciting games? Don't think there'd be less exciting games by them not being around. For me scraping for points to avoid the drop or fighting for a Europa place (or better) is exciting enough. I always enjoy every game. Who needs Burnley.

Summary - well done Coyle, well done Burnley, come on Sheffield, and if Sam goes - welcome on board Mr Coyle sir :rover:

Surely the most important question concerns whether or not Wembley will be big enough for the onset of the Dingles or will they all be locked outside?

Can any of our Burnley friends put this one to bed, according to some of my Clarrott work colleagues Burnley took 40,000 to the Sherpa van trophy final V Wolves back in '88.....I believe the attendance was the largest ever in the world for a final for this Mickey Mouse trophy.

I wonder if Burnley will sell all 37,000 this time around with prices up to 90 pound(?)

***k Burnley. I don't want them anywhere near this league. I'm praying for a Sheffield United victory.

Like the atmosphere of the derby but have to agree with you there Rovermatt!

You can smell the fear on this board.

Your time's up. It's over. Move aside.

Having seen all 4 playoff games I would have to say that Sheff Utd have been the most impressive outfit; very quick and skilful in mid field. If Burnley do win they will have earned a place at the top table but possibly only for one year.

I think the Dingles will win the final. I just have a feeling about it. Then they'll do a West Brom, try, play pretty good football but get walloped. They did beat a few top teams this season, but it is different when you're in the top division.
