It's not that simple though. If West Ham played any other teams around us with Tevez in their side and took points from them, then they'll have a case too.

The only way to work out who owes what we be to recalculate the table having turned all West Ham games involving Tevez into defeat for the Hammers.

I was being facetious ;)

Just jumping on the bandwagon so to speak.

And did anyone see anything dodgy in West ham staying up as a result of an improbable win at Man U.? And then the blighters take over the ownership of the 'slave' Tevez.

If it entailed a betting coup there may have been an enquiry BUT an alleged pre-agreement relegation saver NO enquiry. 'Fishy'.

Monday's game is decided on who scores the most after 90 minutes, not who has the biggest gripe about being relegated two years ago or who can construct the best conspiracy theory.

It all counts for s**t at kick-off time, whatever the rights and wrongs.

Indeed SD as we are well aware - as one man indeed had a certain influence to us not coming up and then actually coming up

Longsider - Didn't hear you chirping when your club was questioning the legality of Defoe in the Spurs cup match - as they say football should be decided on the field and nowhere else. The thing with Whet Spam though is there is more than just the Tevez situation to it.

What a croc of ######. They were relegated because they didn't get enough points, they were poor.

The whole saga over Tevez is a joke, th idea that he is the reason they got relegated. I know this has been covered endlessly but should Blackburn now be sued by Liverpool because that thug Lucas Neill broke one of their players leg in a shocking challenge - thus potentially costing them the Premier League title?

Oh no, one player does not a team make. Whatever else has happened, Sheffield United were relegated because they were easily one of the worst 3 teams in the Premier League that season.

I can't believe that you could get so excited by a throw away comment, in brackets, that was purely incidental to the main part of the post. If you had objected to the rest of the text I could have understood it.

However since you bring it up, Whammers played an illegible player for most of the season and lied to the FA about it. The normal punishment for that in most leagues is loss of every game they are played in. In addition Wham were given points at Ewood by a blind referee and linesman and Manu. gave them 3 points in the last game of the season by playing a weakened side (for which they should have been reprimanded).

How much more do you want to go against them to agree that they were very unlucky to have been relegated and that Wham had no right to stay up.

Sorry if this post is off topic but this is the only place I could reply.

Have to say I am surprised how quickly all 36,000 tickets have been sold by Burnley...fair play to them with tickets as high as 90 pound.

I would also say it goes some way in confirming that Burnley does have a larger catchment area to draw its fans from. (Quite where 23,000 of them disappear to on a home match day is anyones guess!)

I m not surprised there are 2 main factors;

1) Its the biggest game for them for over 30 years

2) Its the new Wembley

If you think there are 18,000 fans who may go over the course of a couple of seasons, each of them only has to bring a partner, mate, dad or child as in one person each and thats 36,000 gone

NB In Burnleys case all of the above are probably blood related

Up the Blades

Been spending some time recently in Burnley and I'm afraid to say as a Blackburn lad and this doesnt come easy to say but Blackburn definitely looks poorer and rougher than our nearest and dearest Burnley.

Is any one thinking of sneaking low profile into a Burnley pub to see the match?..or is that just treachery..!!!

Darwen town centre for the Darwen live gig should be good, plenty of Rovers fans in there singing. Whichever way the game goes we are on to a winner.

I want to watch this but I'm flying out from Liverpool Airport at 7pm.

Does anyone know a decent pub close to Liverpool Airport that will definitely have the game on.

Indeed. Just as you had your biggest game after you spent what, 25/26 years outside the top flight when you got into the play offs?

I find all the post Walkerites truely sad. They forget that until Jack came along you had won nothing since the FA cup in 1928. We won the title twice in the 80 years between your most recent successes (1913/1914 and 1993/1994).

Sure Jacks money has allowed you the upper hand in recent times - and certainly our own fall from grace allowed you that from the early 80's.

So yes, it is our biggest game for quite some time and we all intend to enjoy it - even those who rarely go on to watch a match. SG suggested you only took around 33,000 to your Wembley play-off - how many more than your recent seasons average was that at the time? Honestly it is quite churlish. You wish us ill then I understand, you wish to criticise then I understand, you wish to mock then I understand but commenting on our crowds or ability to sell tickets for Wembley, that I don't understand, your own track record in this area is hardly stellar is it?
