T4E Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 According to Nass we're in the middle of another "Calypso Collapso". Windies all over the place.
Eddie Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Broad is a far better bowler than flintoff was at the same age. However Freddie was a superior batter at the same age. Broad IMO will become a worldie with the next 18-24 months. Flintoff's bowling developed in a way few that could not have been expected. Broad won't get close to him, but he'll be very good.

Billy Castell Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 It is a shame Freddy has broken down. He was brilliant when he was at his best. I hope Broad can fill that void.
Eddie Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Okay mystic Meg. I'm sorry, your predictions are better than mine because?
Flopsy Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Because his cricket knowledge is encyclopedic and he knows everything. Flintoff is not good enough as a batsman to play any lower than 8. His bowling at test level is not penetrating enough and he does not take enough wickets. His body is no longer strong enough to survive a 5 day test match let alone a 5 match series. He's an excellent ODI bowler, unfortunately nothing else anymore and harking back to 2004-2005 is as pathetic as saying Lee is still as good as he was. Injury and age mean he's finished. Shall i start a new thread as we're into a lot of cricket this summer?.

Flopsy Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 twenty20 world cup and ashes plus the county season, seems a good time to start a new thread.
