Paul Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Keane has not walked out on Mackems That has to be one of the best examples of nothing to report I've read. It would be rather amusing if he had walked out.
only2garners Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Lawro alert! He has forecast us to win this one. The boy's a bit confused. He has us down for 2-1 on the BBC website and has just forecast a draw on FiveLive.
92er Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Even before reading that Keane has/has not left Sunderland, I had been thinking that there was even more pressure on him than on Ince. After all, they have lost 4 consecutive matches, just lost to us with a strong sounding team in the Carling Cup and are in the bottom 3. We are not that far above them and if they can't get points off us, who can they get them off? It will be interesting to see how they, as a club, react to the challenge.
trs Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 The boy's a bit confused. He has us down for 2-1 on the BBC website and has just forecast a draw on FiveLive. Has he not been confused all his life?.....one way or another
92er Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Radio Lancs speculate that Roque might not start.
1864roverite Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 The result and teams aside, Wednesday's game has highlighted one thing for Ince and co. That is to play 4-4-2. It allows service to the forwards It creates space in the middle and more importantly We score goals. Sunderland are going to be smarting from the defeat against a make shift Rovers 11 as well as the shouting and stomping of Keane in the dressing room so they will be fired up with a decent sized backing behind them. Rovers had better be up for a fight becasue they are going to get one tomorrow.
Majiball Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 According to Ince's press conference today, Benedict wanted to play Weds night but PI told him on Tue to go back SA to be with his Dad. Thats dam decent of him.
gumboots Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Thats dam decent of him. Of both of them really
Majiball Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Of both of them really True, very true. Perhaps a Benni chant could be done tomorrow to show him we're thinking off him and his family in this difficult time? I'm sure he'll be watching.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Hope we persevere with Zurab and Samba at the back. They did a pretty decent job of trying to plug their fingers in the dam during the first half on Wednesday night.
Paul Mellelieu Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I think we might sneak a win, but Sunderland will score, so 2-1 feels about right.
philipl Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I'll chuck it in now hopefully jinxing any risk of a repeat but its not that long ago we thought we might kick on under an increasingly unpopular manager at about this time of the year and Sunderland left Ewood with a 3-0 win.
Sysagent Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Looking out the window it's a mixed old day weather wise, I don't think we will have a monsoon like last week... My heart says a 2 - 1 win for the Blue Machine but I can see both teams playing under a lot of pressure, external to the game as the 3 points are vital for both teams and as a consequence a draw will be on the cards.
only2garners Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Zurab's wife repelled burglars last night in Salford, so there must be a good chance that he won't be playing this afternoon now. The Five Live newsreader still hasn't quite mastered his surname yet.

Hasta Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Something strange today. It's matchday and it's not absolutely bucketing down outside. For some reason I fancy it today more than I normally do. 2-0
Paul Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Just got home from Southport and it's brightening from the west, almost at Chorley now. Hope we get a decent afternoon this time. I have a bad feeling about this game, I don't see us creating enough chances and Sunderland may well nick a win. 1-2 away win.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Soccer Saturday panel have all predicted we will win this game. Le Tissier reckons we will win 3-0

jim mk2 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Pleasant November day and perfect 50F temperature. Can Rovers spoil it by losing ? Yes they can !
Billy Castell Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Watch out, I feel strangely confident about this one. Hopefully the Keane rumours have really screwed the mackams up. 2-0
