Stats, Rovers first:

Pos 59-41

on 7-2

off target 4-1

Bookings 1-3

Fouls 4-7

Hopefully all that Rovers possession will mean that Sunderland legs start to tire as the game wears on.

The Pedersen article about wanting to fight for his place:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4502121,00.html

"I am here to play. I've spoken to the manager; he knows I want to play all the time.

"It's hard when you are left out, but you can either sulk or work hard and get back."

Interesting quotes from Ince:

"I remember watching Morten two years ago and he was outstanding.

"But somewhere down the line he has lost his way a bit, maybe it's a confidence thing.

"He played well against Chelsea last week and he just has to continue on that same path now."

its normally a bad thing to say a player has been annonomous, but in the hammann, makalele roll its kind of expected not to stand out, and thats exactly how mokoenas played so far. Have'nt punched the laptop at anything he's done....yet! Peds and Andrews playing really well, only Roberts really bugging me but hopefully he'll score to shut me up. Same again please lads.

All Sunderland- great save by Robbo.

Two more yellows.

Boyce of Wigan been sent off for as clean a tackle as you could wish to see. Of course we respect the blind morons who referee our game!
