We want ince out.but there is a problem with allardyce.souness.curbishley. What do we want exactly. I for one think any of those 3 are so much better than ince,so couldnt care less who it is. I stii think curbishley is the best option though.

Irrespective, of what has gone on since Incy's appointment, this latest news to be leaked is a total disgrace.

Ince should have been told by the board, and given the chance to walk, if he so wished.

If this has come from the Sunderland source, it to me stinks, talk about sour grapes, just because Keane, walk out on them.

They should certainly not be welcomed into the Ewood boardroom when we meet. :angry2::angry:

Sorry dave, don't agree with that at all. Ince is only a rookie manager due to his popularity as a player. Do you think if he hadn't been involved in football before management that he would have been given an opportunity at Maccs in the first place? That comment is therefore redundant.

I agree Ince isn't insane simply for not being able to get results, however, the truth of the matter is that there are better managers out there so the powers that be need to make a change. For me, Allarydyce would be the man as he has the ability to get the players up to the required level of fitness. Hughes work on the fitness side of the game was remarkable (although questionnable to some extent in his latter days) and was one of the reasons we were able to compete so high up in the league. Levels of fitness are of primary importance in this league and our current squad look as though they've been for a few before they turn up for a game.

Its odd that Ince was being slated pre season for making the players do sit ups.

i cant stand alan curbishley-saying that tho i think anyone has got to be better then paul ince..

im for sam allardyce-to be honest he was my first choice in the summer before paul ince got the job-i was willing to back paul ince but things havent gone to plan..

i believe he would come in..sort the defence out-find the bargain players he did at bolton-get the players fitness back to what they where and become a hard outfit like he created under bolton..

his style of football isnt the greatest-but right now i couldnt care about the football-its about getting points on the table..

Curbishley is overrated. He only kept West Ham up because they had Tevez.

I would be content with Allardyce or Souey. I know it all went wrong for the latter in his last year with us, but maybe a clean slate will do him good and could be the boost the squad needs right now.

Poor post Mr Birch.

A 'decking'? then Ince would be the one facing a lawsuit. So because I'm not a manager or a rookie manager I am not entitled to voice an opinion?.It may sound too strongly worded for you Dave but quite frankly I dont give a damn, thats MY opinion.

To come out in a national newspaper and blame his failings on a 'conspricy' against him is pathetic in all honesty.

''Paul Ince, the manager of Blackburn Rovers, rounded on his critics last night, accusing them of conspiring to get him sacked because they are envious of his career as a successful player for Manchester United.

Maybe they want us to get shut of Ince so they can get him as their manager?

Sit-ups mean nothing though do they. Although they are one of several methods for tuning up your abdomen, i'm talking about cardiovascular levels of fitness. Also, is it just me or do a lot of our players seem injured......does that have anything to do with training, im just speculating of course.

Always under the impression that you were always "close" to Souey, is that still the case.

Apoligies if I'm off the mark.

Close enough for him to take my call...and I have to say he was stunned that this story was out...spoiled his Italian meal.

Earl, Ince is a "rookie" in the big league, the Premier League, it's the be all and end all for managers. It's where they are competing with the big boys, it's where they want to put a few noses out of joint. It's totally different to any other league, the pressures are much greater.

Yes, Ince hasn't been able to get the results out of the team, but where are the "better managers"? You mention Sam, but no one else?

Yep, thats pretty insane.

The guy actually doesn't even realise that he's getting himself the sack. No one else. So many of the things he's been criticised for are things of how making. Take Fowler as an example. He knows the feeling about it, Fowler has been booed several times, yet against United he brings him on when we're getting a hammering for our best player! What sort of message does that make? Then, Fowler gets booed again, so the next day Ince comes out and says he's intending to talk to Fowler about a new contract!

He must be insane. Either that or he's just thick as pig sh!t.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

Absolutely. And that's me expressing mine. Good on RevidgeBlue for levelling with us that Souness would (to be fair) have him *thinking* of stopping going to games. But for me, barring not being able to secure BFS, Souness is is a much better option than any manager available at the moment. Plus, anecdotal evidence has it that he's not as unpopular amongst the attendant fans as he is on this mb (note. I'm not claiming he's popular. Just that Souness has never been totally onside with RB (sorry mate, but your praise was always quite reserved), Jan, and a few others even during the best of his tenure).

Right now, the important thing is replacing Ince with someone of real experience and Premiership nouse.

I couldn't in any conscience ever go and support a team managed by Graeme Souness again. I've seen the ones who were devastated when he left are back in full throat. Remember, this is a man who left us with PAUL DICKOV as our main striker, who sold Damen Duff and replaced him 2 years later (which makes Ince's 6 months without a right winger look like a vaguely organsed plan) and who at the end was hated by the entire playing staff - except those who'd recently fallen off a motor bike and whose head wasn't quite all there.

I don't believe the player we have this time would benefit in any way from Souness' "man management skills", at least not the ones who are any good, and we'd be back to seeing some absolute dollopers on the pitch. And don't forget the training methods- playing 5 a side with a 50+year old manager.

Right now, Sam Allardyce is looking like a god- which could, of course be John Williams plan.

Anyway, I'll just enjoy not wasting £60+ on diesel every week.

The end of Souey's reign was not good I'll grant you. Dont forget what he achieved for us before that though which was considerable. For Dickov I'll give you Tugay, for Grabbi I'll give you Freidel. Your commitment to the Rovers cause cant be questioned but maybe you view Souness through green tinted spectacles.

Thats because I think Sam is the only ideal candidate for us in this situation. We all know where we are at the moment and he has the knowledge and experience to have a much better chance of saving us than Ince.

To be fair, I wouldn't write off Ince's managerial career just yet. I just think he is totally naive to the demands of today's premier league management methods. He has just jumped one step to high, too soon for me. He can't handle the pressure and his defiance is doing nobody any good, for me he's just saving face with such statements, which I would be doing to be fair to him. Fact is, our results have been very poor and nothing can convince me that his methods will get us out of this situation.

Yep, he might have made some questionable decisions, yep, he may have done this and that, but to say he is "insane" is plainly wrong, wrong, wrong.

Don't you see the difference btween abuse and criticism?

Through Blue tinted ones. Scotland blue ones and Rovers blue ones.

Just stunned - didn't want to talk about it - amazed at how it had come out of the Sunderland area.

And he was not alone.

Christ, it reminds me of that saturday morning many years ago when King Kenny rolled up.

Alright, not quite the same. :angry2:

Earl, your second para sums it up well.
