Mr. E Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Not Ince's fault, but yeah - time to slaughter someone, and if it's not gonna be the players - time for the manager. It's time to stick in Curbishly and try to win aor point or two in the championship. This season is gone and dusted.

novella Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 we need to go back to the hatchet men style tactics for this season.
Amo Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 we need to go back to the hatchet men style tactics for this season. Well, if you're hoping that's under Ince, you're sadly mistaken. The guy is too stubborn to admit he can't play "the beautiful game" with this squad of players.
tchocky Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Indeed. Something needs to happen now. Just not sure the right replacement is readily available. We have to consider who will be best placed to get us the necessary points from the next few games. Will it be Ince, a caretaker or a new face like Souness? I do not think Souness is the answer. Remember he's a buying manager. He uses transfers to get out of trouble - and it doesn't even always work. At best, Souness could work as an interim solution to the end of the season. The (spending) money at Sunderland will be too good for BFS to turn down should he get that opportunity. Just can't imagine who the right man would be to save us now. It has to be someone who can put the spark back in Warnock and Roque - they looked poor and slightly disinterested on my TV. They're supposedly our stars but were the least impressive today.
ihtd Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 JW should just put us out of our misery now, we have no chance of survival if we give him more time. I have seen nothing this season to suggest Ince is worth giving more time. I feel sorry for the guy but we really cannot carry on like this. We don't have the capability to buy our way out of the bottom three like Spurs/Newcastle(to an extent) should they be in and around there. He has to go and we need a new man in ASAP for the Wigan game.
Wolverine Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Resigned to relegation now. I remember checking the odds on relegation minutes after Hughes left... Looks like my instincts were in full working order. While I blame a lot of our problems on the staff supporting Ince, it is the man himself who hired them so he has to take full blame. I only hope we take Winterburn to court to reclaim the wages he has been stealing from us. When Ince goes, I would swallow my pride and welcome Allardyce because he just seems the best fit. And I say that knowing full well that when he was the original favourite to replace Hughes, I said I would rather my son grow up to support Burnley. I was wrong.
roverfanuk Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Ince plugging back the tears on SkySports News now...
dr_awol Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Ince plugging back the tears on SkySports News now... if we continue to lose games where gonna be alrite.............
BRFC1995 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 watching skysports expecting the yellow banner any minute, ain'nt gonna happen is it. Go do something else then maybe it'll be a pleasent suprise when i walk past the tv later.
Amo Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Not all teams sack a manager straight after the match. It might take a couple of days before the board decide to boot him (if they EVER do...).
hawaii501 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Back Ince all the way. It wouldn't be right to sack him now. We have shown some balls today and we put in a good performance. It was a ashame that we didnt get the rub of the green and Liverpool scored a very scabby goal.

It was a ashame that we didnt get the rub of the green and Liverpool scored a very scabby goal. Nonsense. We may have jostled Liverpool around, but we never had a gameplan and our goal was only a consolation. Liverpool were there for the taking, but we had nothing going forward. Open your eyes and see that this man is taking us DOWN. The form is simply not good enough for any level, let alone the Premiership.
Iceman Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 To stress again,no real right winger. Emo was clueless down the right after watching a bit of the game being shown again. Ince must go, he has run out of ideas,in fact doesnt seem like he had any ideas to begin with. JW for muck sake, open your eyes.
hollowsr Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 who is it on Radio Rovers now talking about this poll??
hollowsr Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Just wondered mate. You do raise some good points to be fair. Just thought it was quite good to hear about this site on their lol
chris Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 we were never going to win this match so nothing has changed i think if it was 4+ foals against us he would be sacked I believe the next game will decide, and I think we will win, and therefore he will not get sacked if we lose i'm certain he will go
RevidgeBlue Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Souey was shocked when I ran the story past him last night. He wouldn't comment on it. However I know him well enough to know he would jump at the call. Has he ever said a bad word about the club? Now were're getting down to the nitty gritty. 1) I take it from what you say, GS knows nothing about this, and there hasn't actually been any approach from Rovers hence his "shock". 2) As he declined to comment, you've no idea whether he would come or not, despite what you said in the Mirror!.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 That was me. Why? I'll tell you what Alan, you could sell sand to the Arabs pal.Ince cant and wont turn this situation around its plain for all to see.

RevidgeBlue Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I think we'd all expect Souey to take it if offered. Possibly, but it would probably depend on the level of financial support available in January.
Eddie Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 If he wants back into football then I don't see many other paths, so I think he'd grab it with both hands regardless of the money he had to spend. I think he'd also know, based on the Cole transfer, that he would be backed when the going gets tough.
