I thought today , we played very well ...But the cruel facts of life are we still LOST . Not only lost ,but too a poor Liverpool team on paper 3-1.

Mr J Williams has some rather difficult decisions to make this weekend .

The players played for Paul Ince today , I have my doubts there will be a similar performance from them next week at Wigan .

The summers transfer activity (lack of judgment and knowledge) are going to relegate Blackburn Rovers ..Other teams strengthened their hands , we unfortunately did not .

I cannot hand on heart ,say who should be the next manager of BRFC but I have no doubt that their survival chances will be greatly increased with a new man at the helm .

For BRFC to be relegated , all the excellent work of Mark Hughes would be for nothing . Cos there will be no quick return this time . In fact a Charlton , Forest and Leicester scenario are favourite ...

The buck stops with you John Williams

Tick Tock! Time has run out Mr Ince.

His subs today were ridiculous. First in that they came far to late and secondly in bringing on that famous goalscorer Keith Treacy for Derbyshire, even Fowler would have been a better option!

Our Defense is conceding goals for fun.

Our Midfield is weak and has no creativity.

Our Attack is not scoring enough goals........

A complete new team this January anyone?

The first 2 were obvious last season (how many clean sheets did we have?) and lack of creativity in midfield(with the exception of Bentley, who left well before the transfer window closed) is the clear reason why the attack is not scoring goals.

'apathy' is the word that now sums up this club. From supporters that can no longer be bothered turning up, to those that just accept we are going down (but at least we're giving Ince a decent crack at being a manager, so that's alright).

The Chairman seems completely apathetic to the situation, the trustees have been apathetic for years.

It gives me no pleasure having predicted we would be in this mess in the summer (for which I got slated).

Not sure that Souness is the answer, but whatever the answer is, it isn't at the club at the moment and that includes J Williams.

Never did I ever think I would agree with such a post about the club ive loved for years, but I hand it to you Windy Miller I do.

Doomed unless we wake up and fast, otherwise we will without doubt be condemned to lower league football for a long time.

To all the give ince a bit longer brigade, why not whats another 5 winless weekends!!!!

In brief.

The manager wants five more games.

I think it is more likely two more days.

He will know - via his media chums - that the Sunderland call was genuine.

Now the chairman has to get things organised and moving.

Sunderland don't want to be rushed on Sam Allardyce, so he will be available for a few days longer...but do Rovers have the players to fit his style?

You can take it as read that Souey would be interested.

I said before I didn't like talking about possible next managers while one was in charge. However that sentiment was not shared within the club after the Carling Cup result.

So what does he intend to achieve in these five games ?

What will he do if we are still in the bottom four or five after these next five games, resign, demand more time, blame racial motives conspiring against him .

Ince has more excuses to deflect responsibility than Haringey social services .

Ince positives:

Gives youth a chance. Treacey and Olsson haven't been bad all considered.

Intends to play attractive attacking football.

Secured a decent replacement for Friedel.

Has a successful history in the game.

Ince drawbacks:

Relies on the past rather than looking to the future (Fowler, Andrews, etc).

Hesitant to bring in players after impressive trials.

Unable to convince targets to join the club (Pennant).

Did not address key failings in the squad (midfield).

Unable to assemble a working management structure.

Tactically naive.

Appears to be on a completely different wavelength to the players.

I really tried to find more positives.

I think all three of them are open to debate right now.

I'm devastated by this defeat and I'm not going to watch anymore after today.

The rest of the country couldn't care less but Blackburn has very little else to offer.

JLS, Alexandra and that funny little Irish lad can all go to Hell as far as I'm concerned <_<

Ince is the worst mistake of Williams career.

I hope that Williams and Ince will turn around and realise that their actions are destroying the livelyhood of every fan of this club and take the action to do whats best for the fans.

The fans are what matter at this club, lets just hope williams sees that... Without us this club is nothing and there are fans out there who know alot more about football than Williams... and children out there who know alot more about football than ince. Lets just hope the fans concerns are taken on board and acted upon. I dont know a single fan who wants ince here anymore and the longer he stays, the more fans Williams will get turning on him as well.

INCE OUT NOW.

Do Rovers have the players for Souey's style?

I was listenning to radio lancashire after the game this evening and they said that no Rovers manager since Don Mackey ever goes to the radio station etc to talk about the club. They were claiming that Rovers dealing with local media is very bad, have you found this to be true?

Was not Souness interested in buying, with other people, a football club not so long ago? He may be interested in Rovers again, after all there hasn't been a queue for his services. Newcastle I believe, was his last job.

Maybe he sees Rovers as his last possible job in management. Surely the trustees know he is a manager who likes to use the transfer market to get teams out of trouble, unless the trustees are about to release a large transfer budget, I cannot understand why the board would consider souness again.

If we get rid of Ince, who will take over? What changes will there be to the backroom staff?

How long will it take for the new man to assess his squad? Who will leave in January? Who will come in?

Will you all be calling for the sacking of the "new" manager by mid April when we are 8 points adrift of 19th place?

You are all calling for Ince to be sacked now.

You are John Williams.

Please divulge your plans for after the sacking.

Allardyce - and he's allowed to bring 3 of his own staff.

The club appoints the rest, so that they don't all leave when the next manager does. We need Parkes-esque continuity. Infact, what about Allardyce with Simon Grayson as his assistant and TP somewhere involved too. Train up the next next manager.

Yeh! And while we're at it bring in Owen Coyle and 'im from Preston, Mike Newell and Henning Berg as "tea lady".

Guys for those stuck for names, I have been looking and it is not actually that. bad. Take a look on the newest topic i have created.

I have found a whole host of managers out of work that ALL have prem manager experiances. You may be surprised at a few of them but they are all possible candidates, :D

I've said recently I feel its time for Ince to go but i can't help but feel bad for him after today he looked as gutted as anyone in his interviews.

He may not be up to task but I have no ill feeling towards him and wish him well for he future but Rovers future has to come first.

I still think in time he will be a good top flight manager.

I've been out all day but my son up dated me with the scores. I came home and switched on fully expecting that our manager would no longer be our manager ! What's wrong with our board, he should have gone after the Sunderland game. What are they waiting for ? Better odds on our fight for survival ?

In all fairness the team played as well as they could have. Today was a genuine 'played well and lost' scenario. We looked as likely to score as Liverpool and it would be ridiculous to sack Ince after a performance where the players put in everything. His tactics, for all those who disagree with him, to a large extent worked. Apart from McCarthy's introduction being too late, Ince couldnt have done much more today. Fails to beat Wigan, different story.

lets not get excessive, obviously most people want him out, but after todays showing i have more optimism that he may be able to turn it around. If we play as we did today for the Wigan match i predict a win, anything less and id be surprised if Ince had a job by christmas.

As far as the actual game today. Hats off to MGP. really great to see the real Morten turn up. Warnock/Andrews/Derbyshire/Tugay put in massive shifts and also deserve a mention.
