For what it's worth, I think it's plain daft saying that the lack of a fans revolt, is proof that the fans back Ince. There's no logic in that at all.

Also, the thinking that because we battled yesterday is enough to give him another game. Do we go along game by game, changing our minds? I only hope the board have seen enough to make a proper judgement on him.

I would say that if Nicko's article is correct and that the trustees wont back him financially in January, then there is nothing to suggest he'll keep us up and no future for Ince at this club.

Totally agree Den, great post. If the decision to consult other managers has happened then there can only be one outcome now. I think Ince is just being defiant knowing his fate, waiting for a payoff.

Propping up an airline?

If clubs are getting £40 million in revenue every year, why cant Blackburn Rovers FC spend at least £15 million of that, is that really too much money to spend?

We also had Hughes' compensation which was around £5 million, baffling... has any club spent LESS money that Rovers this year or last even?

To be fair on the finances...Rovers pay big wages and handed out a couple of major new contracts lately...and a lot of the budget is based on a high league placing and the money that brings.

I pointed that out a couple of days ago Nicko. IMO, the club made a conscious decision to spend the extra TV monies on improving contracts, rather than expanding the squad. I remember discussing this with JW quite a while ago - should the club try to run a squad big enough to cover for injuries, or should it try to keep a smaller squad, but with more quality players. I thought then, that a prem club has to have quality for it to have any chance of survival in the top division. So, I couldn't complain at them using sky monies to keep the better players here, rather than allow them to leave for more money elsewhere.

Interesting?

Some serious allegations there Nicko... You are confident that these will be substantiated in due course, or perhaps that they will be lost in the turmoil and euphoria of a change of management?

Alan Nixon has obviously forgotten / ignored Brad Friedel's commnets in the press that there was absolutely NO issues between him and Paul Ince.

Just been listening to Talk sport and they were saying that when a club drops out of the Premiership that a lot of people that are not normally thought about will lose their jobs, it is a very frightening situation and you would think the board would realise this after we drooped down last time, so it is not just the fans that Ince destroying, he will be OK with a big pay off!

There was history between the pair at Liverpool, but ultimately that was NOT why Brad left.

He was offered a huge final pay day at Aston Villa.

Or, as you revealed, he joined Man City because he liked the goalkeeping coach.

Forget that one?

And, by the way, this 'racist' media stuff is starting to stick in my throat.

Have to agree. Apparently Sky's Sunday Supplement ( which I didn't see, a pal rang me) featured the odious Oliver Holt murmuring about a racist agenda against Ince through phone ins and messageboards.

Any manager taking a seventh placed club to next bottom as Christmas approached would be under threat of dismissal. Does the moronic fool not realise that he is one of only a few with a racist agenda?

Matt Dickinson (?) also stated that Paul Ince would be sacked within 48 hours.

Did anyone watch?

Yes I did watch and was appalled to hear the racist slur which was aimed at "phone-ins and messageboards".

He mentioned messageboard quite a few times in relation to where the pressure was coming from in regards to Ince's job.

On the appointment of BFS for either us or Sunderland they all agreed it was a no brainer and it was who would get him first.

If you lot sack Ince and Mathias NOW, you'll have as good a chance as anyone of staying up.

Personally I think Allardyce would choose Sunderland over Blackburn simply because he would have a lot more money to spend and because Sunderland have the players better suited to Allardyces tactics.

Anyway it's better to sack Ince now, unlike what we did with Lawrie Sanchez and nearly leave it too late.

Allan i have heard about us making phone calls to sunderland.what was that all about. Do you believe that this silence from the rovers board is due to them looking at a new manager,or just to try and avoid the media as they dont want to be shown up as being in disarray

Then why does your article imply that it is why he left?

It matters not what A Nixon hs reported, it matters not what views our members have or the different thought processes.

What matters is the reality that Ince has made major cock ups appointing the likes of Matthias and signing muppets like Andrews and Fowler.

It is those decisions that will come back and haunt him.

There are no racist insinuations.

It is a clear cut case of someone taking a job that is above their capabilities.

Now for me, if Ince had got his badges prior to taking the job AND had got an experienced back room team that could hack it at Premiership level then we wouldnt be looking at Rovers in the position they are in.

It strikes me that there are issues in his training set up and routines, they clearly dont favour our players or at least some of them. There are clearly issues with the way he handles players and he clearly doesnt understand the issues of no manager is ever going to get away with falling out with players who HE relies on in matches.

I am personally sad that the situation he finds himself in has been brought on by himself and his staff, they are to blame. One can point the fingers at players but at the end of the day its the players who get on the field, they are never sacked, its always the manager that pays the price.

I believe that the board will ultimately remove him, whether it is today, tomorrow or next week. It has to be done because BRFC is the issue, not the manager.

I am certain he will bounce back for the better. He needs to rid himself of the old brigade, start afresh and seek a new back room team that can progress with him.

Nope. Answer this though.

1. If Villa had not come in with huge funding in the summer when Hughes was basically cash strapped do you think Brad would be at Rovers with Ince or City with Hughes?

OR

2. Given the financial situation of Villa and City NOW which club do you think Brad would go to in January?

btw You are completely wrong again with your first point. Brad has categorically and very publically denied any 'history' with him and Ince. What more can be said?

the airline is in profit, it may have to prop up the Rovers

Havn't airlines felt the economic downturn more than most industries since the last set of financial results?

I'm certainly no business brain, I'm just trying to understand why the trust would believe ANY manager, Ferguson, Wenger, Clough, Shankly or Ince could keep a club in the modern Premiership on a transfer budget of £11.42 and an Argos voucher.

It is all about the Premiership survival of Blackburn Rovers football club, I personally have no feelings about Ince apart from wanting him to leave Blackburn as soon a possible, how can people feel sorry for someone who is getting paid a lot of money and is wrecking our club, when he has gone he will not not care less what happens to the Rovers or the fans!
