I knew these media clowns would turn this into a racial thing. He is a manager under pressure, like kidd.hodgson was etc. Just because he is black, doesnt mean that is the reason why he will be fired. If he had got us positive results then we wouid not fire him. Its unbelievable how some are saying give him till the end of the season, as he is still learning. If we get relegated, then he leaves and nobody will care about us. His learning can still continue, but our club will be in the history books.

Cheers. What I suspected. What a shower of ***** they are.

Hmmm how about another poll........ Lets imagine that we each win 20m on the lottery and we have just 3 options open for investing the money. Would you....

1. Give it Paul Ince to invest?

2. Give it to Creosote to invest?

3. Give it to the Walker Trust to invest?

err... I guess at this point that I have to add the obligatory......

4. 'Give it to Grooby' option.

It's a tough one eh?

Yes I did watch and was appalled to hear the racist slur which was aimed at "phone-ins and messageboards".

He mentioned messageboard quite a few times in relation to where the pressure was coming from in regards to Ince's job.

Yeah, but didn't that bald guy put him in his place and say that Ince took the job soon? He said that six months at Macclesfield and a year at MK Dons does not prepare you for the Premiership.

btw You are completely wrong again with your first point. Brad has categorically and very publically denied any 'history' with him and Ince. What more can be said?

What Brad says in public and what happened in private are two different things.

Perhaps it was a figment of someone's imagination that one had the other by the throat at one stage at Liverpool...

I think I got enough of the Friedel exit story right for you to perhaps consider that and know when you are talking tosh.

However the bottom line of that whole thing was that Brad went because the Villa deal appealed to him.

He was big enough to get on with it at Rovers until that move came up.

The lack of protest and anger could just simply be down to fans believing that it was likely we weren't going to get anything from this game but they wanted an improved performance. Yesterday was a vastly improved performance on recent games especially in terms of pressing down the opposition and the overall level of commitment.

If we lose the Wigan game I can see a huge backlash against the management and board.

Ince wants five more games but can we afford to give him that? If we pick up points it will pay off and we may finally turn the corner. If we lose our next 5 games then I honestly believe relegation is a certainty, especially if the likes of West Ham, Spurs and Newcastle start to pull away from the bottom.

I am certain he will bounce back for the better. He needs to rid himself of the old brigade, start afresh and seek a new back room team that can progress with him.

He can't win though, can he? If he gets a job in the lower leagues, he's going to have to get a backroom staff happy to work in the lower leagues, so there will always be the stigma of not being able to hack it in the prem unless a prem team gives them time to prove they can (not saying those suckers should be us by the way)

Hughes' stroke of genius was being able to use the Wales job to assemble a top-notch backroom team who all had day jobs at Prem clubs. He had the time to build bonds with them such that they would resign from the likes of Arsenal to come to us.

The only way it can work is if a rookie manager and his rookie backroom team get promoted to the prem. I must say, when I watched Burnley beat Arsenal, Coyle looked like he had a team of clones around him rather than Ince's Dad's army. If Coyle gets them up, maybe they will all prove themselves. If he doesn't, I'd be very surprised to see a Prem club take him and all his pals.

SO YOU ARE SAYING THAT BRAD FREIDEL IS A LIAR THEN?

I think I got enough of the Friedel exit story right for you to perhaps consider that and know when you are talking tosh.

"ENOUGH OF THE STORY RIGHT"? RUBBISH!!! ADMIT IT WHEN I SAID BRAD WAS LEAVING YOU INSISTED THAT HE WASN'T. I MAY HAVE BEEN HALF RIGHT BUT YOU WERE COMPLETELY WRONG. I CONCEDE THAT DAYS LATER YOU WERE RIGHT WITH THE VILLA STORY SO WHY WON'T YOU CONCEDE THAT YOU WERE INITIALLY WRONG?

Heh Gordon does it all matter at the end of the day, it's all water under the bridge as they say?

What does matter is another game at HOME and another embarrassing defeat, to a team that looked to me like they weren't even trying...

Gut feelings tell me Ince's days are now numbered and he will be out the door next week after all the formal arrangements are put in place, the Board / JW know that he is not capable at this level now and will by their actions be showing that they did make a gross error in employing him too soon.

I just hope the compensation to Ince and his backroom team will not make a big dint into our transfer kitty (if there is one this January that is) as this will be as crucial for our Premiership survival, as will the new replacement manager.

Time to call time on this one. Friedel left, or was allowed to leave depending which way you look at it. He's gone and I don't think he's coming back. I don't care who was right or wrong about the circumstances. I just know that the last thing we wanted to do was lose the massive solidity of Brad in goal whilst executing a " regime change" in the management of the club. But we did !

Sunday supplement clip - 7/12/08

Colour driven rubbish

Holt if you are reading this messageboard you are an utter prat, and couldn't be farther from the truth. The reason why Ince's future is in the balance is because we are 19th in the league and haven't won for 10 league games.

Any manager; white, black, yellow, purple, green, pink with yellow polkadots would be under pressure if they had our run of form.

The compensation that Ince and his team receive surely isn't going to be more than what we got for Hughes and his team. I think Ince will have been employed on a much lesser wage initially with a frequent review, possibly every year. That is how contracts are usually organised with apprentice staff (no disrespect to Ince in the comment).

Again whatever nixon says upsets the vast majority of this board. Why dont we just see what transpires in the next 48 hours, and then criticise the man if he is wrong. When he is on we moan, if he is not heard from we moan. Im not a nicko supporter, but i couldnt care less what he or any other journalist has to say.at the end of the day i only believe things once it is officially announced by the club itself.

The more I see things like this clip just posted here showing SHOOT the more I feel for Ince and I blame him less and less but blame the board for picking someone who so obviously was not ready for the jump up.

So true, the board seem blameless and aren't getting any flack over our current plight. A job at this level has come too early for Ince IMHO, hell even Ince was reportedly surprised he was offered the job.

I disagree. People talking about the Sunday Supplement with Oliver Holt, are forgetting the other guy who said it's tough on Ince but it was stupid to appoint him in the first place.

Nicko says "Ince's time-keeping has sometimes been a problem and his assistant Archie Knox and fellow coach Ray Mathias have been left to take more responsibility than expected".

That could be a way to save some compo.....

Ince was at the Liverpool academy watching his son 2 hours before the Sunderland game kicked off.

Mind you the Sunderland manager wasn't there at all and they still won.

Hardly shows commitment though does it.....
