The Prof. Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Nicko replied to my post earlier this morning saying that he'll stand by his belief that Ince will have been sacked by tomorrow. Look back a few pages to find it. I think JW's lack of backing for Ince in his remarks in the LET/on Sky is proof that he'll be gone in the next couple of days. I know - and then there is a subsequent article claiming he had another game.

Atty Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I am ashamed to be a blackburn fan,i feel really sorry for paul ince.He has not been given a fair crack of the whip, from the outset most people on this message board have been criticising everything he does.I think it is an absolute disgrace that the club are sounding out other managers when paul ince has not even been sacked yet.It is not al down to paul ince the players he inherited are crap.People on this board kep on saying that this squad finshed in the top half and were challenging for europe but i disagree although the players are still the same they have all gone backwards, the main players in seasons past have been, tugay savage, mcarthy, nelson, bentey, pedersen, santa cruz and friedal.savage, bentley and friedal are gone, nelson since his injury is no the same player, pedersen and mcarthy are not the same players(they re crap).I think keith andrews has been an okay signing atleast he uses the ball with intelligence, grella and reid hav been injured so we wre forced to play the awful AXE in centre midfield(he has to be the worst player in the prem).I think if we had the best manager in the world he would struggle with this lot.Managers need time to get the personnal in that they want,to stamp there athaurity on the club.Whats the bets in a few months time there will be an souness/allardyce out thread! Ok we will see when Ince is replaced if we keep averaging against 2 goals a game and we keep the long ball to rocky and not scoring many goals ill agree with you. The league table does not lie have a look its horrible reading. How long should we give him till the end of the season dread to think what the goal difference will be by then? I think he been given fare to much time should of gone after the Sunderland game and the fans have been great with him Saturday proved that. It could easily if turned nasty by now. I think he will make a decent manager but not with us, he has not got the players here or the financial backing to get the players in necessary to play the open attacking short passing football. SOS Big Sam if he did what he did at Bolton keeps us in the top 10 and playing in Europe on a small budget I will be a happy man.
den Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I know - and then there is a subsequent article claiming he had another game. Read the threads from last night and today. Then read between the lines. Then read what hasn't been said. At the moment there's only conclusion we can reach.
Lurid Coat Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 And so the IPS Driver Errors start to rear their ugly heads. A lot of people are refreshing of this page, it seems. Wonder why
waggy Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Read the threads from last night and today. Then read between the lines. Then read what hasn't been said. At the moment there's only conclusion we can reach. that is that paul ince is our manager, nicko turns up and the gullable follow
den Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Mind you, it's not easy to "read what hasn't been said". Waggy - as my Bro in Law from Ozz would say, - Wharrever. You're not really making any points.
waggy Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I went on the Blackburn End today expecting to see Ince's swansong - I thought the Ewood crowd would crucify the guy no matter what. Having read the gobsh!tes on here, I was ready for boos, banners and bloodletting, and a clear message to John Williams that Ince should be history. 3 Liverpool goals later, and none of the above happened. A couple of lads in N01 tried to get the "we want our Rovers back" chant going, but it fell down after 10 seconds. Another couple of lads gave it "Paul Ince's Blue and White Army" - and that DID catch on!! Great support for the lads at the final whistle, and Ince stayed out to listen. I've heard more boos at Christmas Panto. If this was a message to John Williams to sack the manager - as the gobsh!tes have been advocating all week - then it went badly wrong. JW will have heard the opposite from the 20,000 Rovers fans at Ewood Park. Which points to an uncomfortable truth about this messageboard. It does not in any way reflect the views of the Ewood regulars. The same folk can bleat on and on and on from behind their keyboards, but it means absolutely nothing if it's not reflected in the stands. I will carry on backing whoever is in charge of my team. I wouldn't be sad to see Ince go, and I wouldn't be sad to see him stay on and bag six points in the next couple of winnable fixtures. Strange as it seems, I think that today's Ewood crowd saved his job for another week. The chance was there to nail Paul Ince in a blaze of publicity, nicely teed up by the Saturday papers, but our fans reacted to the positive performance on the field rather than the negative rubbish from the gobsh!tes. thats from a guy who did not waste his education, great post tris, also on spn yesterday they were interviewing rovers fans and not 1 said get rid
Manc Rover Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 If we're gonna make a change it has to be NOW, otherwise just keep Ince to the end of the season. By acting now, the new man will have time to assess the squad before the January window and then he can act accordingly. If the club dithers and we dont improve by say the end of Jan, the inevitable knee-jerk management change will make us worse off as he wont have either time or the chance to change our playing staff.
den Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 also on spn yesterday they were interviewing rovers fans and not 1 said get rid Look at the poll.
roversmum Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 (replying to this post) Mind you, it's not easy to "read what hasn't been said". And there is the crux of the matter, Den. We just have to wait and see. Think I'm going to have to go and write some Christmas cards. Or maybe I'll watch my nice new television (thank you Mr Roversmum x). Hrmph, can't settle to anything...
FourLaneBlue Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Don't you get dizzy on that soapbox of yours? The fans are concerned because an inept manager is taking us towards the brink of relegation. Your arrogance leaves a bad taste, as does your loyalty to Ince over the club itself. waggy just wants to say that he is a better fan than others. When he thought Souness was taking the club down he complained all over this board. Now that fans think Ince is doing the same and say it on here then suddenly they are not proper fans. So he is saying it is only ok for him to be able to doubt a manager. Sheer hypocrisy.
waggy Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Look at the poll. i've said before this messageboard does not represent rovers fans,it represents people from afar/those who never see the game This is my email that i have just sent to Mr Holt: I have just seen your remarks on this morning`s `Sunday Supplement` regarding the Blackburn Rovers alledged disliking of Paul Ince due to his `colour`.Frankly i find your remarks disgraceful and out of order. There is no evidence to corroberate these absurd accusations and I think you should hastily retract your comments and print an apology in your newspaper column forthwith.I will be writing a letter of complaint immediately to Sky Broadcasting Corporation and also the media regulator Ofcom with regards to this matter. As a member of numerous Rovers messageboards and a supporter of Rovers for 34 years i haven`t seen any evidence to suggest there are racial motives with regards to criticism of Paul Ince`s tenure as Blackburn Rovers manager. I URGE EVERY OTHER MEMBER OF THIS BOARD TO TAKE THE SAME COURSE OF ACTION! do you live in the real world
modes98 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I've said before this messageboard does not represent rovers fans,it represents people from afar/those who never see the game So which are you A messageboard is like a very big version of the chat down the pub with your mates.
Amo Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 waggy just wants to say that he is a better fan than others. When he thought Souness was taking the club down he complained all over this board. Now that fans think Ince is doing the same and say it on here then suddenly they are not proper fans. So he is saying it is only ok for him to be able to doubt a manager. Sheer hypocrisy. He also seems to think using these smilies makes him a true Roverite.
gazsimm Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 i've said before this messageboard does not represent rovers fans,it represents people from afar/those who never see the game do you live in the real world [/quote) waggy Ince needs to go for the good of Blackburn Rovers Football club, i don't know why the hell you are still backing him. Enough is enough, time to go Ince NOW
Amo Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 No one who supports Ince is a Blackburn fan, because the club will be relegated while he is still in charge. And I thought fans wanted the best for the club?
waggy Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 No one who supports Ince is a Blackburn fan, because the club will be relegated while he is still in charge. And I thought fans wanted the best for the club? well i'm a rovers fan,and because i think paul ince should be given time to get things right,i do not want whats best for the club
Sandiway Blue Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 i've said before this messageboard does not represent rovers fans,it represents people from afar/those who never see the game do you live in the real world Evidently you don`t. You can sit on the fence all you like, but i for one am not happy at being labelled predjudiced towards Paul Ince by some journalist. Are you happy to have Rovers fans being accused of having such views? Well in the real world i live in,if there is something i don`t agree with i do something about it.If you have a problem with that, tough!
Presty On Tour Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I thought Ince was going today? Bobby Mimms barmy army
islander200 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 No one who supports Ince is a Blackburn fan, because the club will be relegated while he is still in charge. And I thought fans wanted the best for the club? Im a rovers fan but i support ince,it doesnt help when you sack your manager every 5 minutes,as i said in a previous post what if were still in the bottom 3 come march will there be an souness/allardyce out thread? There was people on this mb wanting ince out when we lost a game in pre season!
robborover Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 No one who supports Ince is a Blackburn fan, because the club will be relegated while he is still in charge. And I thought fans wanted the best for the club? Although I understand what you mean, can we sack the following too? Pedersen- For not getting his corners into the 6 yard box McCarthy- For acting like a girl most of the time Grella- For being our biggest summer signing and not being able to complete a match Roberts- For not being able to score a 1-on-1 etc... etc... Surely, (at least) some of these have let Ince down? I support Rovers and I think these players have contributed to our poor results more than Ince.

The buck always stops with the manager. He's the guy they play for, he's the guy who organises them all week. If he isn't getting the best out of them, then he isn't doing his job. These were largely the same players who finished 7th last year. They don't become relegation fodder overnight. We need an experienced manager who can get them playing with confidence again.
LDRover Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Im a rovers fan but i support ince,it doesnt help when you sack your manager every 5 minutes,as i said in a previous post what if were still in the bottom 3 come march will there be an souness/allardyce out thread? There was people on this mb wanting ince out when we lost a game in pre season! I'll do a deal with you islander, you give me a list of positives that Paul Ince has brought to the club (tangible stuff) and I'll happily jump on your Pro Ince bandwagon.
Iceman Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 So why mention colour in the first place? Colour has got nothing to do with the problems at the moment. This is a results driven business, if you dont succeed and the results are not there then you have to go.end of!
