Although I understand what you mean, can we sack the following too?

Pedersen- For not getting his corners into the 6 yard box

McCarthy- For acting like a girl most of the time

Grella- For being our biggest summer signing and not being able to complete a match

Roberts- For not being able to score a 1-on-1

etc... etc...

Surely, (at least) some of these have let Ince down? I support Rovers and I think these players have contributed to our poor results more than Ince.

come onnnn,

Pedersen's been our best player for the past 3 league games (which; i know; doesn't say a lot) but still...

Fair do McCarthy is a bit of a girl but when Roque goes we'll need him and his girly strops.

injury prone vince grella, ella, ella, eyy.

and yehh roberts is turd...

But IMO i'd say it was the Managers fault where we are in the table, it doesn't matter if Kenny Dalglish was in charge, we'd still be calling for his head because we're doin poo

Since when have players been sacked? The buck always stops with the manager. He's the guy they play for, he's the guy who organises them all week. If he isn't getting the best out of them, then he isn't doing his job.

These were largely the same players who finished 7th last year. They don't become relegation fodder overnight. We need an experienced manager who can get them playing with confidence again.

Far from it. I am trying to illustrate a point that these players are mostly the same as we had under Hughes. We made 7th largely on RSC's goals. Pedersen and McCarthy are two examples of underperforming for most of the season. Added to that we lost our best playmaker without doing anything about it. The 'rot' has been set for a while and the players are the ones who should take the criticism more. There is always one club who falls down into the trap and it's us this year.

The board chose Ince in the summer and should back him publicly. It's the players that should be changed. The sad fact is that we don't have the money and have a squad who have not been improved upon for a while.

Look at the poll.

Den - John Williams says "It could have gone one of two ways on Saturday but the fans were fantastic and really got behind the team"

I think he's going to base his actions on what happens at Ewood Park rather than a tiny fraction of fans who press a "sack" button on an internet poll. 300 votes out of 3,000 members doesn't come close to speaking for 20,000 fans who totally failed to vociferously can the manager after a 3-1 defeat.

Maybe Nicko is right - maybe the club sounded out other options late last week, but the performance of the players AND the fans on Saturday has caused the board to leave Ince where he is for now.

Time will tell.

Who do you blame for playing,a left back in midfield,a striker on the wing,a centre half at right back, andrews and mokoena in the midfield etc etc etc. Thats down to the manager,so he has to take the blame.

I'll do a deal with you islander, you give me a list of positives that Paul Ince has brought to the club (tangible stuff) and I'll happily jump on your Pro Ince bandwagon.
He has onlly been in the job 5 minutes, unlike a lot of people i dont think he has been in the job long enough to asses how he will do long term but i believe he deserves more time,he has given a few lads from the academy a chance and believe that is the way foward for blackburn rovers football club we dont have big money so the best way foward is tobring players up through the ranks....but this takes time. Were you one of those fans calling for his head when he lost a couple of games in pre season?

I think the board should publicly apologise fore their stupidity in appointing Ince as our manager, it was obvious from the start he was not up to being a manager in the Premiership, and lets not forget he a not obtained any qualifications for the position!

yeh i thought it was obvious too when we beat everton away on the first day

don't talk daft

Time, unfortunately, we don't have.

I think some of you need to wake up and realize that relegation is around the corner and will kill us if it happens. It's okay to sit here in December and say 'Yeah, give him more time!'. But before you know it, we'll have ten games left and be fighting for our lives.

:rover: i know lads who refuse to go the match because ince is the manager,i have talked to fans after the match that have mentioned ince's colour, but they arn't racist :brfc:

But where on the messageboards has this subject been mentioned?

That is the whole point.

Oliver Holt specifically named Rovers messageboards as having an agenda against Ince because of his colour,in my view he was bang out of order, therefore i made a complaint.

Yes it has only taken him 5 minuets to take us from a seventh place finish to one point off the bottom of the table, just think what he can do with more time.

Likewise, if Ince goes and we still go down, will you still blame Ince? Professional players are making mistakes as well. I'm not defending Ince's mistakes, but I'm sick of seeing MGP hitting the first defender, of Roberts missing easy chances, Benni sulking, basic defensive mistakes and constant balls-ups. Now these mistakes were happening last season too.

People should blame the players more than they are.

Read the threads from last night and today. Then read between the lines. Then read what hasn't been said. At the moment there's only conclusion we can reach.

With the words that haven't been said being "You're sacked"

and the time now being 1527 p.m. on Monday the conclusion being that that nicko and Hughes's source were completely wrong?

U are losing the plot islander.
Mate im not losing the plot, you were 1 of the fans calling for his head in pre season i think you have to wake up our players are crap but give the guy some time he might just suprise you.I also find it quite amusing how many people suddenley want big sam as manager i seem to remember there were threats of a riot down at ewood if he got the job.

Somebody replied to you the other day about this and (as far as I'm aware) you didn't reply, although with the search function down I could well be wrong about that.

The jist of it was that the fans were supporting the team (i.e. the players) and not Ince. It seems a shame that supporting the players on the field seems to being twisted into a 'fans support Ince' angle.

So had Sammy Lee and Chris Hutchings, history will show that the respective boards' decisive action in potting those two ultimately preserved their Premiership status.

You need to recognise how quickly we've regressed under Ince, it's bloody painful and is showing no sign of slowing down.

BTW , I was more than willing to give him a chance, even after the win at Sunderland in the CC a few weeks ago I posted on here in a congratulatory sense.

More to the point, if he isn't going then where are JW's words of support for our manager? His remarks this morning, and lack of public support for Ince in them, make it pretty obvious that Ince is going this week.

Nickos story was obviosuly rubbish. Ince deserves to have the next 5 games. Hes been here 5 mins. The treatment of him by certain people is a disgrace. Give him 5 games, if we get a few wins our situation will look a lot brighter. If we dont get enough wins from the next 5 then i agree he has to go.

I'm not sure there's much point you bothering Dean.

Certain people have (quite rightly) been saying all season that, during the game, there should be no derision from the fans, purely support for the team. Even at a low point on Saturday the fans continued to back the team throughout the game and refused to get distracted by anything else.

Somehow they're now being criticised for that. Much like Rovers under Paul Ince, there's no way they can win.
