It really is difficult for the board. Even backing Ince is fraght with potential problems. They could come out tomorow, make a statement saying they're fully behind Paul Ince and will back him come January. Lose to Wigan and/or Stoke, where would that leave them?

The only sure bet for them, whereby they would take least flak, is to sack him. Now I'm not trying to start another debate, just pointing something out. Wonder if that will influence their thinking?

you could well be right - cos if the board are hedging their bets they'll sack him cos if they back him for a few more weeks they may have even more egg on their faces as there is no saying that we'll beat Wigan ( gave a good account of themselves V arsenal on Saturday and until then where on a decent run ) or Stoke ( probably one of the most awkwardist Premiership side to play against ) .Ince keeps pointing out that we have a decent fixture run where we can maybe gain a few wins but also in October we had a similar run of games where we won none IE for wigan read Bolton for stoke read boro and for Sunderland read WBA .

difficult times for Rovers hard decision for the board unless they already have someone to take over !

You can defend your actions how you like, I know you have to sell a few papers and earn a living but the fact remains that unless Ince goes before the Wigan game, your story was just plain wrong

Rule 1 in Nicko's world...... Nicko is NEVER wrong!

Rule 2 Even if you are proven bang to rights wrong never ever admit it.

he'd have made a good politician.

No objection to him printing stuff like that if it's true (and to be fair it may well still turn out to be) but he seems to be admitting privately on here he doesn't know what will happen!

JW's comments today, as I mentioned earlier after I read them, suggest the future is bleak for Ince. What will be will be, but I am pretty sure he will not be our manager this time tomorrow night.

Got to be very careful when dismissing anyone.

Just my opinion!

Now explain why that's sooooo difficult to understand.

We see everything in 3D.

I see you are still smarting from the pensions mauling

some of us just think people are people, colour is not an issue, why do you keep bringing it up?

As I said months ago macca is colour prejudiced.

Very very odd times these.

While Ince is walking on thin ice, I hoped we would release Ince but I never really believed it would happen and still don't.

If we go into the Wigan game we havn't lined up another manager yet.

You can't say"Sam can you and Graham hang fire to see if he gets us out of this.' can you?

If we win at Wigan - and some of the players look to be trying (Pederson looked a different player Saturday) he stays.

Another two weeks and it's getting very late to do anything as a restructure of the backroom staff is needed and would take until the end of the transfer window.

I think Souness as Director of football added to the squad is most likely if nothing happens soon.

Sunderland could have just tried to unsettle the club further with this leak.

JW has publicly stated more than once we're in with him for the long term.

I'm not so sure about that.

I still fancy us to win the next 3 games and enjoy Christmas in mid table.

Dare to dream guys..... It will teach those guys trying to make a few quid on this unfortunate situation.

I hope you are right.

But even Saturday's effort saw us playing far worse than Wigan, Stoke and Boro are currently.

And 22 points would be healthy mid-table today but on Boxing Day evening or equivalent would probably see us at best around 13th/14th and three points above 18th place. There are a few games between the clubs immediately above us in the fixture schedule which means they are inevitably going to be picking up points. West Ham v Spurs which is happening right now is a case in point.

Ok, having calmed down after the recent games my view is that Ince should, in all fairness be sacked.

I don't believe that the board will sack him prior to the Wigan game regardless of the tabloid talk. Could be wrong, but he hasnt had the vote of confidence yet, which usually gives a game or two.

This will be a very difficult few weeks for BRFC and could make or break our mid term future. I just hope that JW and co. put the club's interests before their own.

######. Don't lock Hughesy's thread before I've posted. :P

SACK - GET SAM.

I implore the Blackburn Rovers board to remove Ince from his position with immediate effect and if possible make every attempt to appoint Sam Allardyce as his successor. Our club is in turmoil, and although in some ways I respect your patience I also believe it would be folly to allow Ince more time. He has systematically taken the club backwards, hiding behind every possible excuse bar his skin colour (which he leaves to the media). We are in the Premiership, and there's no mercy for clubs like ours. If we are to sustain our Premier League status, we must shake things up and reinject confidence, organisation, and discipline to the side - just as Harry Redknapp has done with Tottenham.

It's not too late, but it soon could be if you don't act now.

Sets his standards too low, thinks he has more money to play with than we will provide him, awful PR, made bad signings, second rate coaching staff, unprofessional, players look unfit............ could go on, but we need to sack him before it really is too late.

Hughesy is correct. I know from a completely different and nailed on source that there is indeed a meeting at 10am tomorrow. I even know where it is being held but obviously will not divulge. I still reckon he will be sacked though they arent certain what to do as yet.

Let me guess. What was just said on the Official Blackburn Rovers forum?

Steve Coppell would be a quality choice! Their is no doubting he has a quality network to find new young players!

I swear, I must be the only person who supports Rovers that doesn't know someone on the inside <_<
I know nobody who's in prison too

Can I propose Sacking Ince and bringing in someone else other than the ignoramus Allardyce or the dinosaur Souness? Don't know who but anyone is better than those 2 planks

Of course he deserves more bloody time! Why? Because this is real life and not and not a football manager computer game.

I don't give a fig (for want of a better word) what Ince deserves any more than he would care about Rovers if he got a better offer. I only care about my team and he is taking them down. He may improve in time but that is too late for Rovers. Sack him and save the club!
