For all the people demanding that Mr.Ince gets more time can I just ask this:

If we lose on Saturday but put in similar effort to the Liverpool game should he stay in charge? Similarly if we lose both the Wigan and Stoke games but put in the effort?

If we lose against both Wigan and Stoke it won't really matter much anymore anyway. If we lose those two the chances of avoiding relegation, with or without Paul Ince, would be extremely slim.

Oh shut up you clown. It was only a few days ago that you were arguing the toss with everyone saying Ince deserved a chance.

That was about 4 games ago you MUPPET! He did deserve a chance then, now we are 10 games in a row (league) with a win. 1 point off the bottom of the table, and more than a win away from getting out of the bottom 3. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Or should we just carry on 'giving him a chance'??

Are you twelve?

Only yesterday you were making up stories that he had been sacked ("It's official and it is for sure"), and now you want people to sign a little pettition against him.

Making up? Check then where I received the info - about 8 or 9 other members of this board also got the same info as me, as did more or less every newspaper in Britain. Im only passing on what I hear - in future il keep it to myself thats ok. As for being 12 - With a name like that are you?

I think we should just stop delaying the inevitable. It is time for him to go. He has proved he is inept so he should be given no more time. If he is backed by the board today, there will be uproar amongst the fans. We need a new manager to restore some faith from the supporters and to rebuild this club. We need a manager who knows what they are doing and someone who can rescue us. I for one do not feel that Ince can pull us out of this mess especially with the fan support he has, the knowledge that the club have made calls about other managers and with how deep he has already dragged us. We may win the next 2 but then go on another losing streak and we would have lost several weeks. We should bring a new manager in now, one who is still capable of getting wins from the next 2 games but someone who will also turn us back into the team that we were, that we should be, making us hard to beat and fighting for everything. For me, although I admit I was against him in the summer, that man is Sam Allardyce. I couldn't care how we play football if he was to become our manager as long as he got results and I reckon he is more likely to get the results we want/need rather than Ince.

To be fair you did state as fact that he had gone and he clearly hasn't. You even started a new thread about it, think you need to check your 'sources' unless those sources were the same as everyone elses, IE reading the sunday papers.

I only asked the question that I did as it seems that as long as we put the effort in then it's acceptable in some quarters.

Anyhow, my question is irrelevant right now and I guess we'll find out today through some means the outcome of the board meeting.

I agree with John and others though. We can't do this whole one game at a time gig. He's either been backed or the board follow through with what they started and sack him.

The trouble with backing him would be, what does happen if we carry on with our woeful form? The answer is that the new man gets an even bigger task with keeping us up than he would do at present. And that's some task.

Jeez, just had another look at the table, it looks so bad.

Only 16 games gone and realistically we are already more than 1 win away from safety. Unless we beat Wigan 10-0 of course.

Can someone please have a look at the bookies websites and post the odds on who'll be relegated? I can't get to them through the firewall.

I'm betting us, Sunderland and West Brom will be hot favourites.

It seems that if there is a popular movement against the Manager it has been lost in the support for the team.

I fully accept that it is not possible to extrapolate 440 people voting on this board or a large number of personal e-mails to the Chairman as being representative of the paying customers at Ewood although the numbers are such that you have to conclude we are a pretty wierd and unrepresentative lot for that hypothesis to hold.

But equally, there ought at least to be some intellectual and statistical effort put into getting confident that 440 on this MB and the e-mails to the Chairman are definitely NOT representative of the Ewood paying customer base and are in fact going against the tide of opinion.

If that second step is not taken, I can see a horrible mistake being made.

Perhaps the Chairman has registered the fact that 90% of the 'we' on this board have not clicked the button to sack Ince.

Either way, it is sounding like the only thing stopping the right decision being taken is JW's pride. There's a shocker.

Unlike some members, I don't have any 'sources' inside the club, therefore I don't take all the conjecture and rumour as fact. What I do take as fact is in the last couple of days Nelsen, Pedersen and RSC have all come out and backed the manager, and so as far as I know Ince still has the players. Nelsen specifically said our poor form is own to players individual errors and not the managers tactics.

Nelsen said: “Exactly. Everybody knows that Paul Ince is going be a success as manager. It’s just the environment these young managers are in these days.

“I feel bad for him at the moment. He’s taken a lot of flak when the players should have.

“As players, we’ve got to come out and take a lot of the responsibility. We haven’t helped him out with the results.

“We are the ones not winning the games, we are the ones conceding the goals.

“All the players have made mistakes we weren’t making under (Mark) Hughes, so I feel bad for the manager.

“The players have got to stand up and be counted a lot more than what we have. We all know that, we understand that and we want to do it.”

I know he is captain, but I don't believe he would say all that if he didn't mean it.

Ince has made mistakes as any manager does, but if John Williams thought him intelligent and capable enough when he appointed him and the majority of players still back him, so do I.

The truth is there is so much that goes on that none of us really know ( unless we have special connections ) down at Ewood, it is impossible to make a completely informed decision.

The team performed against Liverpool, I also thought we were very unlucky against Portsmouth, I thought they came out and battled hard, made mistakes but deserved one, if not three, points. I do think performances matter and although there have been some bad ones I think there have been good ones too. I know points are what are important at the end of the day, but I also believe if we play put in good performances the points will come.

Nicko asks if there are three teams that will finish below us, with the current team, I'm not sure, but if we have just 5 mil, surely we can get a good right mid for that. I think when Dunn and Grella come back (soon I believe) it will be like signing two new players and therefore the 3 weakest positions on the team will be filled and the team will be A LOT stronger for that. Having seen ( on TV admittedly ) WBA Stoke Sunderland Portsmouth Wigan Bolton I think our team will be better than them.

Hughesy, I accept that you feel strongly against the manager but that petition isn't going to get you anywhere. Have you seen the signatures on it? People are posting twice, others with offensive names, others with 'amusing' names.

thats just the players saying help us get rid now... How many teams have sacked their players for poor performances? its easy for a player to say, we should be doing this, that or the other and we not doing it, therefore dont sack him.. its plain stupid that. at the end of the day it always comes back to the manager, no matter what the players say, what is there for all to see, is that we 19th and screwed...

Those odds alone should be enough to sack Ince.

Ricky - My sources are not the papers, they are all people 'in the know', there information is only right if the board sticks to its guns. If they change there mind based on events (like not the fan backlash they expected against Liverpool) then there isnt much I can do about it.

If you know anyone who has any solid info they will indeed confirm there was a meeting sunday about Ince's position, again today and that the club contacted clubs about managers on friday. You will also find that the club received over 1000 emails following the defeat at United.

Amazing comment from the "Sack Ince" petition

"I want Ince sacked because he don`t have lack of experience! He should return to premier league about years...he must build himself up! Blackburn Rovers don`t have time or money to do such things right now!!SACK INCE!!!he`s a stupid #### anyway!"

Has the board actually come out and said they are backing Ince then?? Has the meeting finished ?????

SSN has a reporter outside of the ground, should be going to him soon to see if there are any updates.

*Edit*

SSN claims Ince has left Ewood park and said "its business as usual" to a reporter, the board meeting is still going on. Looks like he is staying...

Why bother with a petition then? You already know he's gone so why waste your time? Surely you could concentrate on helping pick the next manager instead?

so the meeting is ongoing, why are people saying the board are going to back Ince and keep him then?. Lets hope the reporter comes back with the good news we all want with "INCE SACKED BY BLACKBURN ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB"!!!

I disagree Iceman, the players know a lot more than you or I, especially the captain and if he believes Ince shouldn't be sacked then neither do I. I don't believe he has to keep coming out and saying such very supportive things. I also believe the current situation is down to a lot of factors not only PI's mistakes and that bringing in BFS is not for sure going to change that.

Ince in!
