I edited my post, SSN claims Ince has said its business as usual, looks like he is staying.

He'd hardly come out and say "I've got the boot" though would he??

I'll not be suprised if he's been backed. Just more dissapointed. How many defeats will it take for the board to act :(.

I'd imagine JW and fellow board members are staying behind to dig a tunnel out of the stadium to avoid any form of questions.

'Business as usual'?

That'll be a defeat on Saturday then.

I'm absolutely gutted if it's true.

Me too - "GOING DOWN" is the right phrase to sum it all up. He is incapable - id love to be proven wrong, but I just have no confidence in him after our recent run of form. :o

If it is the case that he is to stay and be backed I'd be interested to see the logical process how the board came to that decision.

However you look at the situation, the pro's for sacking the guy surely outweigh the con's.

Nicko do you still reckon Ince will be sacked today?????

I don't think so now...but the club needs to make an official statement.

If he stays there should not be a number of games mentioned and there should be clarification of funds.

Not sure how they will explain the events of last week away, but there we go.

However - and this is just a wild thought - why did this story come out in The Sun today?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle2017486.ece

I wonder.

I can't see Sparky leaving city now....just weeks before he gets hundreds of millions of pounds to splash on the world's greatest footballers. And even if he did, there's surely no way he'd return to Rovers with a couple of farthings for another 2nd rate league one midfielder!

I would agree with that, but sometimes stories get planted like that for a reason...

The Sun carry a story inside about David Villa coming, which is pretty accurate even if it is a follow-up.

So why say Sparky is unsettled at the same time.

It's a puzzler.

Only time will tell.

The only reason I can see for them keeping PI at the moment is that there is no one to replace him.. maybe the alleged talks with BFS ended with Sam saying he wasn't interested in coming to Rovers - leaving us with no 'lined up' replacement at this point in time

Well if he stays I think it's conclusive proof that the board haven't got a set of balls between them.

I'm more inclined to sing 'Sack the board' or 'Where's the money gone?' at Wigan on Saturday.

It's a p!ss poor show, really bloody amateurish.

Was Sparky the 3rd one the board we're interested in?

Can't see it happening, but I can still hope.

If Ince is staying then the board need to make a statement and stick to it, sounds like they can't make there mind up, which is the last thing we need at the moment, very disappointing to say the least.

Whatever the outcome of this meeting LD, this reeks of muddled thinking of the highest order. I can't think of any statement they could make, that would make the slightest bit of sense to the fans.

It's gone too far now.

Just 10 reasons why he should go. There are more too!

- Not won in 10 league games

- Lost 5 in a row (all comps)

- More goals conceded than anyone else in league (31)

- Scored the least amount of goals at home

- Won the least amount of home games

- Out of the league cup - 5-3

- Failed to score in 5 of the 16 games so far

- Gone from being 7th to 19th

- Only won 3 (Everton kids, Fulham and Newcastle when in a rut)

- Signed Fowler

Right. Well what can i say...

If we get relegated at the end of the season. I will want the manager and chairman to go...

Yes i know John Williams is a nice guy, but he says he is doing the right thing for the club, which if Paul Ince stays, he is not...

Also, let me say. Before this decision i thought we could get out of this relegation trouble. Now this decisions been made, im certain were going to be relegated... :( It's quite sickening!

"Well, he brought in a bunch of unqualified and inexperienced backroom staff, his signings have been dodgy, he's turned the defence in to the worst in the league, we're in 19th place and on our worst run for over a decade...but I still think he's the man for the job. Let's keep him."

:(
