G Somerset Rover
I've been away for lunch, so JW's comments were from before the meeting? And there's still no news from SkySports news other than the "business as usual" Ince comment? It's hard keeping up and making it looking like your actually doing work Edit: I see they were from before the meeting.

islander200
How about Sven? i know it's a long shot but he's a free agent.......... Better than BFS and Souness IMO. The trouble is i doubt the lack of spending money would interest him. Paul ince has not been sacked so why are you speculating who the new manager will be?I think the board have shown they are behind ince by not sacking him.The players are behind,so why cant ye just give him a chance to turn things around?Since he waljked through the door people have been calling for his head which is just not fair. Some of ye are so fickle its beyond belief,ye now want sam allardyce(i am a fan of his) yet in the summer when he was linked there was nearly a riot. Why cant ye just get behind ince and the team for the next few games and see if he can turn it around, even if sparky had been in charge we would have struggled this season! EwoodGlory
Well if this is the case, can we please get behind the team AND Paul Ince on saturday please? Or if you think change is a necessity, then take your 'Ince Out' banners, and the board might do something about it, since they can't do it off their own backs. gumboots
Can I just point out that I don't care any more if he stays or goes but i do want it crystal clear one way or the other. If he's to stay then there must be no more of this we'll give him another couple of games lark. If he's our manager then we need to back him even if we get relegated and the board need to make clear that this is what they are doing. If he's to go then it needs to be with immediate effect. Anything else is ducking the issue and is completely unacceptable. I now begin to wish we'd actually not tried against Liverpool as that would not be allowed to cloud the issue, as I think it has done. It would have been very harsh to have a chorus of boos on Saturday after a better performance and most fans felt like that. When you saw how gutted Tugay was when the first goal went in you couldn't have booed. It didn't mean we were happy about the result or even the performance, just that we are not morons who boo for no reason. After Wigan and Stoke is too late in my opinion to make a change. gumboots
problem with my internet muppet I realise that. Can't you recognise when a post is serious or not? And for your information, I am not a muppet and i don't like people who on the basis of a post like that decide that I am. There is absolutely no need for insults. and by the way, it's not your internet. It's the site playing up.

gumboots
ok im sorry Accepted. and Somerset there'll be no announcement if there's nothing to announce. They won't necessarily bother to say we continue as we are because that will be to admit what they've been talking about.

They won't necessarily bother to say we continue as we are because that will be to admit what they've been talking about. But Gumboots as Nicko and various posters on here have said, the board have to come out and clarify the situation. This uncertainty is killing the team right now. "We have to get 9 wins" will not cut it. Sky cameras were also reportedly at the ground today waiting to hear anything.

You and I might think they need to clarify the situation and make a definitive statement but we are fans. They are the board and are used to keeping lots of info to themselves. sky are there in the hope of a sacking. If it's not happening why should we give them any story at all. Ricky
When's Nicko coming out and saying he was wrong? I'm sure he said he would if Ince wasn't booted in 48 hours (which hasn't happened) But I'm sure he'll put a spin on it instead of just holding his hands up and admitting he was wrong. Hopefully he's ferreting around trying to find out more of what actually went on because i do agree with somerset that we should be told. If the club wants to keep its fans then it has to realise that we like to be informed of everything that we can be informed of. Not suggesting we should know everything but a better informed fan base is usually a more supportive fan base.
The Prof.
Just off Grapevine. BFS wasn't interested when he heard the financial situation. Maybe 5m to spend, borrowed from next summers budget. Souness apparently unsure. Sunderland - mischief making - Have we a 6 pointer game soon? Board feel like they've been made to look stupid either way. Serves them right. Guess who tipped off Sky. RevidgeBlue
Still waiting for the decision to come out...smelling fudge at the moment. Had Ince better start putting stuff back on his desk then? Seeing as you told him on Sunday he might as well clear it. (Better change that signature to one in twenty one)
