RevidgeBlue Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Curbs and a very big job in the North ? Yeh well he could hang on till Fergie retires but I wouldn't advise it ! Curbishley sends me to sleep as soon as he opens his gob. I'd have a very hard time dragging myself down to Ewood if he ever took charge here.

rebelmswar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Ince seems to be doing a crap job, give him a verbal and then give him the boot. Unless he has had the verbal already that is. Hoped to come back to better news than this. I am sure that we will pull out of the dive however in true Blackburn fashion.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Can we get Souness back? We'd get relegated with five left backs in the side but it would almost be worth it to see his maroon tint and to upset Jan.
neekoy Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Care to put a little wager on that? Love to, how we decide though whether or not the win has come from our own abilities or the other teams crap performance? I need to also point out that this will remain in place as long as Ince is manager.
FourLaneBlue Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 We'd get relegated with five left backs in the side but it would almost be worth it to see his maroon tint and to upset Jan. An interesting discussion piece in years to come among Rovers fans will be who was worse...Late Souness or Ince? It really has got that bad. We have departed company with three managers in this condition in my memory as a Rovers fan...Mackay, Hodgson and Souness. I would discount Mackay as we had Jack Walker about to send us in the stratosphere waiting in the wings. In the other two cases...we got one right (Hughes) and one wrong (Kidd). The club need to make sure it gets it right this time as the prospect of relegation now suggests a greater catastrophe than it was in either of the last two cases...
Majiball Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I have a quickie for ya, does anyone now what our worst run in the premiership is? I'm just curious, Saturdays got me thinking.
FourLaneBlue Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I have a quickie for ya, does anyone now what our worst run in the premiership is? I'm just curious, Saturdays got me thinking. We went ten games without a win from the start of the 1996/1997 season which saw Ray Harford sacked and Tony Parkes rescue us in his greatest-ever moment for the club. It is amazing how Harford took us from champions to starting a season like that. Great assistant manager but woeful manager for us. Compared to that latter-day Souness and modern-day Ince almost seem like Godsends. Almost.
AggyBlue Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It really has got that bad. It will have to get a whole lot worse before you get your wish.
FourLaneBlue Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It will have to get a whole lot worse before you get your wish. My wish is for the best for Blackburn Rovers Football Club. A club I have followed and supported with that aim in mind for what is now the majority of three decades. Your suggestion is that I would like my club which I have spent countless hours fretting and worrying about, not to mention a fortune in following through the years, to do poorly just to get "my wish" is frankly embarrassing. ANYBODY who knows me will say I am blue-and-white through and through. Not that I need to prove this to the likes of you or anyone else. You seem to relish that "whole lot worse" suggestion. Does that make you a better fan? Those who can grit their teeth through the bad times while saying "yes sir" and deferentially trusting in the boss regardless? Are you superior to the rest of us because you blindly follow a manager that is not up to the standards that the rest of us demand from the leader of OUR club? I think you are in denial. We are in trouble. Big trouble....and true fans like YOU - which I know you are - need to realise this. Here is a promise...if Ince turns it around then I will hold up my hands and admit I was wrong. Without reservation-. If you look at all my posts I have not attacked the person for his beliefs or for what they say...other than a little dig at Rev Blue but we have both posting on here for years and I did not mean that maliciously as I know he is Rovers through and through. I know you are too. I just think that right now being Rovers through and through means that You know something is rotten in the state of Denmark. We need a change or we could go down. After that for a club like us it is not worth thinking about...

After that for a club like us it is not worth thinking about... WTF is all that about. Blackburn Rovers don't do knee jerk. We would have to be in a far worse position then we are now for Ince to get canned. Ince getting canned was what I meant as being your wish. Changing a manager is not a guarantee of changing fortunes. Our problems stem from injuries and loss of form to important players, individual errors and poor referees, all of which would be a factor for any manager in charge. Although Ince isn't doing us any favours by keep playing players out of position. Now, where have I said I am superior to any other supporter? or which posts do you get the impression I follow a manager blindly? or why does having the opinion it "has to get worse" bring the statement "Does that make you a better fan?" from you? "I think you are in denial. We are in trouble. Big trouble....and true fans like YOU" - IMO We are not in a good position but neither are we in big trouble and you're there again, true fans like ME. Quote me where I've said anything remotely like that. The more I read through you're post, the more it reads as a slagging.

Quote me where I've said anything remotely like that Hand on heart - and this is true - when I said "true fans like you" I meant true Rovers fans. It will only come across as a slagging if you want it to.
philipl Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Really Aggy, I think you have lost the plot if you read FLB's post as a slagging. The vast majority of us would be absolutely elated if Ince now leads the club on a strong winning run and produces the results on the football pitch- that is what he is employed to do. But if he is in a downwards spiral which is clearly the case at the moment then fans have every right to question what he is doing on and off the field at Ewood.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 We went ten games without a win from the start of the 1996/1997 season which saw Ray Harford sacked and Tony Parkes rescue us in his greatest-ever moment for the club. It is amazing how Harford took us from champions to starting a season like that. Great assistant manager but woeful manager for us. Compared to that latter-day Souness and modern-day Ince almost seem like Godsends. Almost. Difference is Harford lost the biggest goal machine in premiership history who was good for thirty goals a season and worked hard for the team, whilst Ince has lost a good right sided midfielder. There are similarities between Ince and Harford though, both signed squad players rather than players who would improve the first team.
Athlete Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 we are in big trouble JW has to act in the next few weeks to give whoever he brings in a bit of time too assess the situation and then bring in whats needed in jan . The next few games Ince either dramatically turns it round with wins at spurs and pompey or we are further in the mire and Williams ges shut . The Spurs game is massive a six pointer which defeat would leave us rooted in the bottom 3 .
thenodrog Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 The Spurs game is massive a six pointer which defeat would leave us rooted in the bottom 3 . err hang on........ We are already rooted in the bottom 3 Athlete!
brfcs5359 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 And what will happen when the Telegraph and nationals print this fans poll??? I am all for freedom of info but you have to accept this poll will add to the problems.
philipl Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It is the internet age Graham. There could be far worse on here, believe me. But then that is scurrilous rumour-mongering of a fantasist pushing baseless fears. That should save us from half a dozen unnecessary posts.
dave birch Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 There could be far worse on here, believe me. But then that is scurrilous rumour-mongering of a fantasist pushing baseless fears. What have you been saying for eons, philip? Is it not you that has presented us with unprovable revelations from behind the scenes at Ewood Park? Please, give us proof or stop these baseless allegations.
CrazyIvan Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 But then that is scurrilous rumour-mongering of a fantasist pushing baseless fears. Send me proof of your allegations via PM or via email and I'll shut up.
Bobby G Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It is interesting that as days have passed, the support for the sack has dropped. I think it was well over 70% initially and now its standing at 60%.
jim mk2 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 We went ten games without a win from the start of the 1996/1997 season which saw Ray Harford sacked and Tony Parkes rescue us in his greatest-ever moment for the club. Compared to that latter-day Souness and modern-day Ince almost seem like Godsends. Almost. Post-championship in 1995 Rovers have a poor record in appointing managers. They got it right twice (Souness and Hughes) and once by default (Parkes) and badly wrong with Harford, Kidd, Hodgson and now Ince. That we have had six managers in 13 years also tells another story of instability and poor decision-making.
bubblerrovers Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Just think this time next week there will be an emergency board meeting to sack Ince, bliss
Tris Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It is interesting that as days have passed, the support for the sack has dropped. I think it was well over 70% initially and now its standing at 60%. It is interesting ... I thought those saying "back" would struggle to reach 10%. The ceaseless torrent of vitriol, rumour, snide jabs and bad mouthing of the manager on these threads from a handful of individuals makes up about 90% of current posting - and that hasn't really changed over the past 5 months. In times past, Rovers fans would have recognised the importance of next Sunday's game, and the posting would be the other way around - 90% slagging off the hated Spurs and directing energy into supporting Rovers. All the energy on this MB is directed into slagging off the hated Ince. Very sad. A win is vital on Sunday, all this negativity is dragging the mood down. I'd like to see some evidence that certain people on here actually do support the club more than they want to can the manager. Just think this time next week there will be an emergency board meeting to sack Ince, bliss Not if we stuff Spurs 4-1 there won't be. That's a scenario which would remove your "bliss" in one fell swoop it would seem. As I suspected, there are people who would rather Rovers lose to suit their own prejudice.
Sparky Marky Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 If we stuff Spurs 4-0? Are you on drugs? Get a grip man, we're in the @#/? and Ince isn't capable of getting us out of it. These lads don't go from top 7 to relegation material unless something's wrong.....The ship needs steadying and Big Sam is the man.
