roverfanuk Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Have to laugh... Last week: Ince: "the problem is down to not bringing in replacements for Bentley and Friedel" Today: Interviewer: "Is the problem down to not having enough time to bring in new players during the summer?" Ince: "Well yes, it's always going to be hard..."

Bobby G Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 He is right the players are to blame just as much as him. But far worse players have gotten things done before and it depends if one man, usually called a manager can get the best out of them. But he isnt a manager. He is a charlatan.
thenodrog Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 'THINK BIG'..... in loving memory of the MUCH MISSED Jack Walker. It's a perverse thought but it's looking like Jack Walker has ruined my sons footballing life. Without Uncle Jack he and all his age group would be supporting Man Utd or Liverpool as the football hierarchy have planned for decades. ...... course he'd have been put out for adoption long ago but at least every Saturday wouldn't be ruined.
Alex Rover Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Ince in his SSN interview did not look like he was a man fearful of the sack (he did look like that last week). Either he is living in "cloud cuckoo" land or he was told last week that he has 5 games regardless of results. He still looked like a man on the edge though. I think (based on his performance in this interview) he knows his times up so was more resigned.
Iceman Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Now now Abbey, watch what you saying or Oliver Holt might claim you to be a racist.
PAFELL Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 GIVE HIM TIME! WE HAVE - HIS TIME IS UP
The Prof. Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 We went down today. There is no way back.
tcj_jones Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I will be voicing my concerns to the club via email and will follow that by detailing my disgust should Ince not be sacked come Tuesday. I implore you all to do the same! The man is an absolute muppet and I have never feared for the future of our club more than I do now. When the thought came to mind that, 'at least I'll be able to attend more games closer to home next season', I actually struggled to hold back the tears as I realised the obsurdity of what I was saying and envisaged just a few thousand of us turning up to Blackburn - MK Dons at Ewood next season. Five points plus goal difference of safety with crucial games to come and a muppet at the helm... We are going down and I'm not sure that we will ever have the means by which to return in my lifetime.
whittle blue Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 WE HAVE - HIS TIME IS UP Just taking the p1ss out of the Ince lovers.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Now now Abbey, watch what you saying or Oliver Holt might claim you to be a racist. Even Garth Crooks said it was not good enough. I ask Mr. Holt and his other Mirror Hacks is Mr. Crooks racist?
Bobby G Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Come home Souness all is forgiven. At least there was HEART in the team even at its worst declining moments. And I didnt like that not so subtle hint from Nicko that Sam Allardyce WILL NOT be our next manager...
tcj_jones Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Come home Souness all is forgiven. At least there was HEART in the team even at its worst declining moments. And I didnt like that not so subtle hint from Nicko that Sam Allardyce WILL NOT be our next manager... Think about it though, why would he ever wants this job? He lost out on the job originally to a muppet and would only be taking over a club doomed to relegation, when he's also still a front runner for the Sunderland job, who won 4 - 0 today.
mattyboy6000 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Come home Souness all is forgiven. At least there was HEART in the team even at its worst declining moments. stop revising history. we were as awful then as we are now
thenodrog Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 correct me if I miss heard but did he say Its not down to me its down to the players. 2 Weeks afterH Kevin Gallagher virtually washed his hands of Ince now even Richard Dinnis has him down as a dead man walking. Playing too many players out of position is a return to the final days of Souness.
grizfoot Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 We went down today. There is no way back. Take the M6 and then leave at junction 29 onto the M65.
PAFELL Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 There are two ways out of this. A short-term manager with guts...and I don't think it will be Sam after working on this one for a little while. Or a long-term manager who could keep you up or bring you back in better shape. Once the vacancy is up I might suggest a name or two. Is this a large hint about the vacancy coming available?
tcj_jones Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Currently, I want Ince out. If he is not removed before our next fixture or a new manager is not found promptly, then I want the board out. A print screen should be made of the messageboard main screen (the one showing the multiple anti-Ince / anti-board threads) and emailed to the club. I will be contacting the club as soon as I get home. I only hope I can with hold from a vitriolic outburst. Then again, maybe that is what they need to hear.
BRFC1995 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 quite worrying that interview from ince, was'nt shaking like he normally does during interviews, horrible feeling he's been promised more games, with goal difference we could be 3 wins from safety next week...............end this shambles and give he fans some optimism, there is no good reason to suspect we'd beat stoke. Big strong direct attacks will muller us.
Bobby G Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 nicko wouldnt know 2 minutes after the final whistle. But common sense, if there is any left at Ewood, says that Ince should pack up and leave tonight.
Ninjathunder Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Ince needs more time. By that I mean time on his hands.
Iceman Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 How long does it take, to say: Ince you are fired!
tcj_jones Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I have a horrible feeling that Ince was promised this game and the one against Stoke to turn things around. One down, one to go... I guess. What if we draw at Stoke? The question shouldn't even be asked, the board should grow a pair and sack the manager.
The Prof. Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 If we lose to Stoke we are down and out, or shall we beat Stoke with this fool and then lose the next one or the next. Anyone with half an ounce of intelligence knows that Ince WILL NOT TURN THE CLUB AROUND TO GET CONSISTENTLY POSITIVE RESULTS! Even if we win one game we are still in the dumps...FOR GOOD. I'm afraid we're almost certainly down now. Merson made a great point. For us to stay up we would need to win 9 games. If Aston Villa win 9 games they might just get 4th. They are in great form. Unfortunately Burnley look a good bet to come up. There are heads to roll and the Trustees have to stump up a small countries annual budget if we are to get out of this because key players in the squad (not helped by the purchases) look to have run out of legs together. We need a new squad not a few players. Beer!
BRFC1995 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Just seen Sparky's Man City lose to an Everton side without a striker... And heard them booed off. You can't be serious to want a new manager who is only a few points above you. Think big. i'd have him back in a heartbeat
