i agree having a go at Ince at the moment is not going to help us at all. He needs our full support now and hopefully he can change it around. We need to get back to basics and become more solid at the back and try to grind out some welcoming wins.

One thing the club should try and do is to reduce the cost for our next home game and try and make Ewood Park a better atmosphere which will surely help the players on the pitch and help our dissapointing home record in the league this season.

Because I was told differently. And before you ask me to name a source, I wont, other than to say I was told this from a source that 99% of this messageboard have had no problem believing in the past.

Once again John Williams said Friedel leaving was nothing whatsoever to do with Ince and he thought it was incredibly unfair that PI was getting stick for that from some quarters.

Ah but we all know we can't trust a thing our own players and chairman tell us and have to believe unamed sources instead.

Brad went to Villa because Rovers could not offer him the wages he wanted and Brad did not think the club had any ambition unlike what Villa have. Williams is the guilty chap for letting this to happen not Ince

And the fact that if we'd paid him more then we'd have less to spend elsewhere. We don't have lerner bankrolling us.

maybe if we did pay him a bit more, then we will not be were we are now. Robinson is a good keeper, but i think Brad will win us more games then Robbo will.

At the end of the day though, the people who keep saying that it was Ince who got rid of Brad and Bentley are talking utter rubbish, the club could not afford to keep hold of them both and show them any ambition to try and keep them at Ewood, leaving Ince no other choice but to sell them both.

Are you still here?

Why don't you stop wasting your own time and energy trolling on here, and go and worship at the altar of Manchester United who you clearly think are so wonderful?.

I'm amazed people take any of your posts seriously.

You must be having quite a chuckle everyone someone gets reeled in and makes a serious reply to one of your posts.

Don't get sucked in, he's clearly on a wind up.

What do the Champions of England and Europe have to do with this?

Carry on polishing Williams' backside...

Imy - bullying players is rather disgusting, is it not?

Just a bit of a general point, we've been decimated by injuries to key players like Dunn, Grella, Emerton and Roque but Ince hasn't helped matters by chopping and changing. I suppose it's natural that early on in his reign he's going to be searching for his best team but we do need some stability and consistency in selection over the next few weeks.

Firstly, stop experimenting with the centre halves. Pick two from Ooijer, Zurab, Nelsen and Samba and stick with them. If Ooijer isn't one of the two then play him at RB instead of Simpson. Move Warnock back to left back and use Vogel if necessary alongside Andrews until Dunn and/or Grella returns. Play a consistent 4-4-2 with Benni and Roque up front together.

Morever in January, Ince needs backing with £10m. It's not a large amount for even the smallest of Premier League clubs and Ince needs to be able to bring in 2 or 3 players so that he'll be able to give us a better indication of what a future Rovers team with him at the helm will look like.

I'm not too sure that the board would trust him with 10 million Bing, I know I don't.

Isn't a fundamental problem with this thread is that the responses will likely be based on either hindsight or 'wish fulflilment'?***

If - in some parallel universe - we'd been in the Top 6 (however unlikely) at this point, we wouldn't even be asking the question. At best, it's almost rhetorical and arguably serves no purpose, if he was - or wasn't.

More pertinent questions would be - is the man to get us out of this debacle, should he be sacked or the 64,000 dinar question of "how can we ensure any replacement (and who?) would do better"?

*** I DO think the underlying problem of the anti/pro Ince debate on here is there's a distinct lack of objectivity involved. Just like BFS, there are a large number of people who actively had a negative opinion of him even before he was a candidate. There was also a large element of people who felt his appointment was wrong - separately to any bias/prejudice against him. However, some people seemed to have let the former influence the latter, OR seem to prefer to be proved 'RIGHT' in their judgement of Ince & gloat in our subsequent misfortune and hope their 'wish' of getting him out is 'fulfilled'.

There has also be a tendency to become partisan about the whole issue, and push people into pro/anti camps rather than to just accept we've all (supposedly) got the club at heart, no matter what our opinions are of Ince.

My stance was Ince was in position, and deserved our support and hoped he'd come good. Clearly, we'd have had to take some element of a step back, but also he needed a reasonable time 'in post' before he could be fairly judged. Whether the level of criticism on here is typical and justified is a moot point - it's difficult to decide if it's a function of the unpopularity against Ince or the perceived failings of his reign, probably both in all honesty.

However - and I'd like to hope it was just a freak 45 minutes, but if our latest result/performance is to be typical of what's to come - it seems like we're doomed. That doesn't mean I've changed from being pro- to anti-, just that I'm still extremely concerned about our predicament, and TBH I don't know what the best resolution is, other than to await Sunday's result which will go a long way to defining our club's future.

People have written us off for the next 2 games which are both away, but to be fair Ince's record away is not all that bad. His home record is pretty shocking but does inclue Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea.

I have supported Ince and at times we have played pretty well, but other times we have been awful. Saturday was the first time I have questioned whether Ince is upto the job. I still think he could be but needs to do what Hughes did when he first arrived and go back to basics. Don't let goals in and score goals at the other end.

We don't take advantage when we are playing well and gift teams goals when we are playing badly.

At the end of the day he is our manager and IMO deserves a bit more support than he has been getting, but he does need to get his and the teams act together pretty soon.

I'm twisting things? What things? The one thing I have wanted to see on the board is fairness towards the new manager. I don't care if they like him or not. Too many people on this mb have not been fair to him and have taken rumour and conjecture way too seriously. Remember the Carlos interview? How about the Roque one just after?

Judge the man on results not on your like/dislike of him or on the rumours in the press. I'm STILL not convinced by Ince. That is still the way I see it but 13 games is only just starting to get towards the point where you can honestly judge his performance. Way too many judged from day one and still maintain that judgement.

You know nothing about the man your commenting on, other than what he posts on here. Thats not even close to being enough to formulate theorems about his pre-disposition, nor his character. If you disagree do so with fact and logic not insinuations as you did previously. Your calling for fairness and not acting fairly.

I agree we should be fair towards the new manager, I'd like to think I have been. The fans where split, the allardyce fiasco, showed the club was prepared to bow down to the fans wishes, even if they thought it was the right choice. Now don't take that as me saying our opinion should not be valued, but if the board felt that BFS was the right choice, then that was the choice. Strong people make strong decisions.

Personally I don't want to see him any closer to our club than I have to. But if he was appointed and provided he did OK I would accept it. All through this I would still support the club/team. As have those who are being vocal over there concerns.

People will always take rumour and conjecture as gospel, we all do it, its a driving force in society, its foolish to believe people will not follow it, its everywhere. We have no idea what happened with those interviews and never will, I can think of one scenario where both could be true. We will never know.

Most said they would give him a chance, he has not grasped it, yet. We will not make a snap decision but we have to draw a line, I worry about the boards ability to draw that line. Any new manager needs to come in before mid December, he'll need time to formulate his opinions on everything.

Saturday's game has me worried and rightly so, we dominate the first half, we go in at half time have a chin wag with the gaffer and co, then come out and from the first second of the second half played like we'd never seen a ball before. What happened, why did it change so drastically? What was said? We will never know it may not even have been what was said perhaps they didn't get there half time oranges, that has a habit a causing complete collapse in second half's.

We are one third of the way through the season time is short current form will have us bottom soon and whilst we are not there yet, it doesn't look good. 7 games, three points, a lot of hope was signed this summer, and thats all we've got at the moment. Our next game as was it Tris said has to see a response to prove it was just a blip. If we play like muppets again in the next game then we will all know it wasn't, if that happens then I believe we have serious problems. I'm afraid its last chance saloon. No performance in the next game means the players are not responding to him, that they don't believe in him and his words/actions. What happens after that determines where we go. Its been a long time since I remember Booing at Ewood and whilst I don't agree with it these people are not doing what many have and walked away, or shall I say withdrawn there support. Its just something they will either deal with or be consumed by.

The rose on our badge is no longer gleaming, we need to polish it against Spurs. I'm no longer convinced though that one polish will be enough to make it gleam again.

What comments about what man? What theorems about pre-disposition or character have I made? Go on tell me because I haven't made any! What insinuation did I make then? Have you read what I actually wrote?

"Do you like Ince T4E? Have you ever liked him? Did you give him a chance to show you what he could actually do as manager or did you buy in to the rumours and gossip? You were saying that Brad left because of Ince even though there was NO evidence to the contrary and Brad came out and said that leaving Rovers had absolutely nothing to do with Ince. Why did you persist with that story?"

I was asking GENUINE questions! I had a long debate with T4E about Brad leaving and that is a matter of fact. You can read it on this board. T4E still maintained his position that Brad left because of Ince even though Brad came out and said the opposite. That is a matter of FACT! I would actually like an answer from T4E!

Don't put words in my mouth.

Surely this is about supporting Blackbuurn Rovers and what is best for our club.

There is a significant majority on this MB which is saying they have lost faith in the manager. The directors and truustees can also read the tenor of supporter opinion on the LT and their own official MB and that if anything is even more sceptical about the manager than we are here.

No doubt the powers that be have seen that and registered the fact that if they too have lost faith in the manager, the chances are statistically probable that the majority of supporters would be behind them in firing the manager.

If things were afoot, I would expect there to be total silence from the club and that is what we have but it doesn't follow that a dismissal is either imminent or certain. I am strongly of the opinion that in these rough times economically, the manager's desk at Ewood is a highly desirable position in world football but it might be the board are entirely satisfied that Paul Ince is getting into command of the job or that there aren't any replacements out there.

The guy has made a really bad start, don't think that is a point of debate, but what to do next is a matter of many variables which JW and the board will only have partial visibility of.

I suspect the blessed January transfer window will force a decision sooner than the board ordinarilly would like to take.

I don't think there were many people who actively disliked Ince when he was appointed. It was when he started to appoint 4th div. coaches an bought 4th div. players instead of the right winger and right back that we needed, not to mention over the hill strikers who everybody knew had been useless for years that the rot set in. It certainly frightened the crap out of me and at best was awful PR. No wonder people started to doubt him.

Now we are in the relegation zone and the doubts are now becoming real.

Don't put words in my mouth.

I won't.

I'm sorry but this is the worst posts you have ever posted. There have at least been intelligent arguments from you supporting your views the majority of the time but this isn't one of those. Abuse? From whom? And who has said you should shoulder the blame for someone elses shortcomings? You'd made your mind up the moment Ince arrived without giving the guy a chance to prove himself one way or the other. That is unforgivable and wrong. People have pointed out that you should give someone a chance before judging them. I have and so have a number of others.

You won't be getting an apology from me if Ince fails. No doubt you'll gloat and say 'I told you so' but you made a judgement on the basis of nothing in particular before the season had even started.

I love the use of the words 'it seems' when NOBODY has said anything of the sort and nobody actually will. A suggestion from Den you take a make your own. Nice. Talk about trolling!

Firstly you call him stupid, 4 years ago where were we???? Was it not bottom 3 and not looking like getting out of it, Mmm where are we now? Lots of people where very surprised at both the appointment of Ince and subsequent ones. I see no stupidity in those statements, just the reply. T4E made a comment that is based on fact and as opposed to combating it with similar you just insult him. But you could as equally have said Hughes had us in the bottom three as well as opposed to insulting him, just a thought.

Abuse, well perhaps not but Den took a lot of stick from some people for saying what was occurring, people took that as him condoning it, he did not. The shortcoming quip, was in response to that, den got the blame for others short comings. Why should someone change there views because you believe its the right thing to do. Is that not the same as saying people who vote conservative should support labour when they win the election (that is not my political belief). We all have different opinions you'll have to figure that out. The world is not black and white there are many shades of grey. I can only surmise from your strong statements that you have never in your life pre-judged anyone or anything in your life, I commend you, I hope the sermon on Sunday goes well.

You'll notice no-ones asked you to apologise if your wrong. The statement about how he's going to brag he was right is so twisted its unreal. Lets follow your logic shall we, T4E posts about how he was right everyone else was wrong and so on. T4E supports rovers with passion and has done so for some time, hes a fan IE fanatical, look it up. Why on earth would he do that? what on earth makes you think thats what he wants? I've never met a fan in my life who wanted his team to do badly, he wants the club to do well. twisted just twisted. Next you'll be telling him to ###### of to the dingles, or sum such similar childlike response, at least offer some sort of constructive criticism.

I hope that answers your questions.

What comments about what man? What theorems about pre-disposition or character have I made? Go on tell me because I haven't made any! What insinuation did I make then? Have you read what I actually wrote?

I was for Ince's appointment but the time has come for the board to hold their hands up and say they got it wrong.

My choice for a replacement would be Chris Coleman.

And where has he been a raging success? I quite like him but I don't think he's what we need at the moment.
