i heard that too....MR INCE PLEASE CONCENTRATE ON BLACKBURN ROVERS ....ARSENAL AND CELTIC ARE OF NO CONCERN TO US .WE NNED TO BEAT SPUDS END OF.

Too right I'd rather he concentrated on getting us out of the doo doo and leave the media career until another day....

he really does talk some rubbish, and it doesn't reflect on him or us well. I was astounded when he made his men against boys remarks about the united celtic game, only days after we'd rolled over like little pussycats as united barely broke sweat to beat us two nil. lets get rid, get things back on track

I heard Ince on the radio this afternoon too, I was thinking what has it got to do with him what happens at Arsenal.

If Ince concentrated more on his management than commenting on other goings on, perhaps we wouldn't be in the dam relegation zone!

Good grief, he was asked a direct question by one of the reporters in the press conference about Gallas and he gave a 10 second comment on it. This was after he had spoken at length about Sunday. Is that such a big deal?

Don't worry Rob.

They forget to mention the fact that if Ince even tried to talk about Rovers (like you have said he did anyway), the media would just ignore it. They don't care about us and never have.

I wouldn't be surprised if Winterburn talked about us for an hour then mentioned Arsenal and that is all we hear about.

I just hope we win!

Your team is in the bottom 3, your injury list is biggest in league and your star striker travels to Oman for a FRIENDLY and does NOT play, that is absurd, Ooijer who has just got back to fitness and plays 90 minutes too! I would bear a grudge too, most managers have been complaining about it.

you really do have fantasies about him dont you!!!!!

.have friendlies only just been invented they been going for chuffin years!!! they are proffesionals its their job ffs.

I wish i could be paid 20-30 k every week for training ,travelling and having a kick about. They should try doing 12 hour night shifts in the cold ,wind and snow and then go to the gym.for less a year than they earn in a week .IMY DO HONESTLY THINK THEY ARE TIRED???

No but I do think they risk injury for no real purpose. As imy said other managers have complained too including the highly respected Martin O'Neill. Friendlies have always caused controversy but they cause fewer problems if you have a bigger squad or if like most continental leagues you have a winter break. We push our footballers hardest at a time when everyone's natural defences are at their lowest and most people are enjoying a bit of a rest i.e. over Christmas. They get well-paid for it and very few complain about that but to shove in an extra match which actually serves little purpose is not ideal. These guys are highly trained athletes and anything that disturbs their routine of training eating resting and playing is potentially a problem. You get an injury, you can often carry on with your job. They get one and it can be months out of work which means that your team suffers. Players don't suffer financially - they get paid if they can't work - but they suffer in terms of fitness and confidence and often take ages to get back to their best. I'm with Ince on this one. Competitive matches if necessary - friendlies at this stage in the season. no.

so ince never played a FRIENDLY?

Representing your country is something to be proud of and as a manager you should be proud of your players. And yes i know from experience what its like to do so having done it a few times and i would never whinge about it and hell i didnt even get paid,i did it for the love of my sport and country.

If you read what I said and what Ince was saying was that the biggest issue he had was that RSC flew to Oman and did NOT play, how does that help Paraguay and Rovers when he has had an injury hit start to the season?

Ooijer also played 90 minutes in a friendly, is that necessary for a 34 year old established international? Arsene Wenger, O Neill etc have all complained (as I have already stated ;) )

so he doesnt play and thats wrong ,yet Ooijer plays and thats wrong?.......so what if hes 34 and played 90 mins whoppydoo hes a bloody proffesional.I wish i could play 2 games a week and get payed well t0. Mr whinger moans about everything and oneill is like a an old moaning minnie too.

As phill said ince would be suicidal if we were in the uefa. They only play football a good days graft would kill them.

1. How does the travel help RSC? If he was not going to play why call for him, it is a friendly.

2. What benefit is there of playing a 34 year old for 90 minutes who has just returned from injury in a friendly when he is an established international?

Two seperate points that Ince was making and other managers have been making, Wenger, Fergie, Moyes, I could name all the top managers and what they have said about friendlies. There is no point comparing football with other professions as you cant.

You out the wrong clause in after "play". It should have read ,"the first two of which are directly your fault."

The major question is- were we disadvantaged compared with our opponents on Sunday.

Short answer is no.

Most of their squad with the notable exception of Bentley were on international duty as well.

So 'arry and Incey have a level playing field. Let the best man win.

YES IT IS BUT INCE WAS MAKING A POINT ABOUT WHY HE DISAGREED  AS DO I, FROM A SELFISH ROVERS PERSPECTIVE I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ROVERS PLAYERS TRAVELLING ROUND THE GLOBE FOR FRIENDLY MATCHES AND NOT PLAYING- ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU AGREE WITH THIS?

2. What benefit is there of playing a 34 year old for 90 minutes who has just returned from injury in a friendly when he is an established international?IF I WAS 34 AND AN INTERNATIONAL PLAYER ID WANT TO PLAY AS MANY GAMES AS POSS,YOUR A LONG TIME RETIRED.

DAFT STATEMENT- IT IS A FRIENDLY MATCH, MANAGER KNOWS WHAT HE CAN DO, WHAT WAS WRONG WITH 45 MINUTES?

FOOTBALLERS GET PAID HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS FOR KICKING A BALL AROUND, NOT REALLY A JOB IS IT?

2.daft statement? it doesnt matter if its a friendly its still an honour to represent your country.

3.they get paid !!! so its a job!!!!

What do I have to do with anything? As someone with a brain I can see the points that Ince and most other managers are making- why are you targetting Ince when Moyes, Wenger, Fergie, O Neill etc have said exactly the same thing?

1.i agree that if a player is picked then they go and should be proud.

Proud of what? Sitting on a bench on the other side of the world when you are certain to start a competitive game, please explain HOW this benefits Paraguay and the club who pays his salary?

2.daft statement? it doesnt matter if its a friendly its still an honour to represent your country.

Ofcourse it is, but (you may find this difficult to understand) managers of national sides need to use their common sense and try supporting the players who play under them.

3.they get paid !!! so its a job!!!!

Is this not the opposite of what you said about a page ago? You know the whole "let them work 12 hours a day, lets see if they are tired, etc etc"

My view is simple, kicking a ball around and getting £100K a week is not the same as a dustman working 10 hours a day- jobs are not comparable are they ,pay is not comparable, they are polar opposite worlds so you cant compare them- thats what I said.

While I agree we don't want our players travelling round the globe for pointless games one has to be fair to Ince on this. Plenty of other managers say the same thing.

1. because the thread is about paul ince doh!

2.i asked you about your "international" representation as you seem to know all about representing your country.

3.sitting on the bench...lets see i think i read there were 95 internationals on wed night ,so thats roughly 700 players who didnt get a game.

4.why should an international manager worry about managers from club level?is it not that they want to win each game with whoever is available?

5.you said it wasnt a job, granted its not hard graft and it would kill em to a 12 hourer but its a job all the same,it provides them with money to buy things does it not(a fantasy living tho).

oh im off out imy so i wont be replying.
