imy9 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 1. because the thread is about paul ince doh! YES ABOUT INCE NOT LETS CRITICISE HIM ABOUT WHAT HE HAS SAID...UNLESS YOU KNOW DIFFERENT? 2.i asked you about your "international" representation as you seem to know all about representing your country. HOW DO YOU LINK HOLDING A VIEW ABOUT FRIENDLY INTERNATIONALS TO "KNOWING EVERYTHING ABOUT REPRESENTING YOUR COUNTRY"? I AM GUESSING YOU HAVE AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE? THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD CHARGE A FEE TO HEAR YOU TALK, I DONT PARTICULARLY CARE 3.sitting on the bench...lets see i think i read there were 95 internationals on wed night ,so thats roughly 700 players who didnt get a game. I DONT CARE ABOUT THE OTHERS, I AM ROVERS FAN SO AM CONCERNED ABOUT MY CLUB PLAYERS, YOU SEEM TO CARE MORE ABOUT PLAYERS FROM OTHER TEAMS... 4.why should an international manager worry about managers from club level?is it not that they want to win each game with whoever is available? ITS CALLED PROFESSIONAL COURTESY, THOSE SAME MANAGERS COULD MAKE YOUR LIFE AWKWARD IF THEY WISHED, FERGIE DID IT ALL THE TIME WITH GIGGS, THATS WHY YOU SHOULD CARE. 5.you said it wasnt a job, granted its not hard graft and it would kill em to a 12 hourer but its a job all the same,it provides them with money to buy things does it not(a fantasy living tho). PARALLEL UNIVERSES AND THUS CANNOT BE COMPARED, I AM GLAD YOU AGREE WITH ME oh im off out imy so i wont be replying. SHAME, I AM GOING TO TRY YOUR METHOD OF DEBATING "SHOUT SHOUT SHOUT", FOLLOWED BY THIS IS WHAT I THINK, FOLLOWED BY I CANNOT COUNTER WHAT YOU SAY SO I WONT, BUT WILL MAKE POINTLESS, BASELESS POINTS ABOUT ANYTHING BUT NOT THE TOPIC! LOVE IT, KEEPING IT REAL

Billy Castell Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Imy9, you must be young, otherwise you'd realise you can never have a proper debate with a drunk . I think this season will be like Southgate's first season. Inexperienced manager struggling to make an impact with a team with an established squad, but sticks to his principles and plays the game in a particular way. Hopefully, Ince can develop and be a better manager from these experiences like Southgate.
1864roverite Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 SDomeones been eating too much Ambrosia Rice Pudding, its puddled your brain
allanncd Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Curbishley expected to be Charlton manager when Pardew is sacked so BFS becomes the only option to Ince (if he accepts). Depressing ?
allanncd Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 No! Cheer up Pardew's just been sacked so now he can be in pole position !
allanncd Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Now Ince reckons (per LET) Matt Jansen can again become a top player in the Premier League. Presumably saving millions£ in the January window. Ince is reviving so many has-beens Lazarus will soon be out of a job!
Mc Love Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Ince get out you fool!! Has he even a notion?!!?
leftfooter Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I am expecting a slew of glossy Paul Ince profiles in the national press this week-end. If there isn't it will be a clear sign that the Rovers are on the point of abandonning PI. Very prescient Philipl, if not the inverse to your assertion! 'Sam Allardyce awaits his next big calling': http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle5207738.ece
Paul Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Allardyce, from the article above: "But I was much happier having a glass of wine with the opposing manager and him going to his press conference and criticising the way we played than I was sat in there and being told how nice it was we tried to play the right way but we had just got beat 3-1"
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 If we're thinking about Curbishley we won't have long to make a move, Charlton just got rid of Pardew and Curbs must be well placed to go back there.
thenodrog Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Allardyce, from the article above: "But I was much happier having a glass of wine with the opposing manager and him going to his press conference and criticising the way we played than I was sat in there and being told how nice it was we tried to play the right way but we had just got beat 3-1" Quite right and dissing smaller clubs / attempting to influence referees is an increasing tactic employed by certain Prem managers that the poncy, know nowt, southern press and media hacks continually fall for. BUT .... Listening to the contrasting opinions of Mowbray and Pullis on MoTD it is apparent that the bottom 3 clubs in the Prem all started the season with managers who were determined that their teams would stick to the principle of 'playing attractive football'. Trouble is that unless you have a top 4 squad it's simply foolhardy! Everybody knows that our weakest area is midfield and has been for a few seasons now. Tugay is old and doesn't play forward enough to hurt teams and we have lost the services of our brightest creative talents in Bentley and Dunny, so asking our remaining crop of average midfield talents to play ineffective pedestrian keepball / passing football out of harms way in the middle of the park and in front of the opposition defence is crass stupidity and the equivalent of football suicide. Whatever philosophy one follows there simply has to be an end product.
John Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Ince has been moaning about fkin internationals all season, not just ahead of this game. Cannot remember the last time I felt so not up for watching the Rovers..... Whatever philosophy one follows there simply has to be an end product. Are you sure?? That does not register with some folk on here, who were pretty much 'wax lyrical' about some of the football we we were playing earlier this season.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 If the worst comes to the worst how about a cheeky move for Joe Kinnear ? The geordies seem to be playing him along inspite of him temporarily stopping the rot.
Mozzer Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 why would anyone want alan curbishley if the worst happened to paul ince surely sam allardyce would be a better bet..
Amo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Ince has been moaning about fkin internationals all season, not just ahead of this game. Not to mention teams wanting his players, the big four, lack of money, and so on and so forth...
1864roverite Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 EXIT STAGE LEFT. Todays inept efforts leave only thing certain, your time is up. We have regressed so far back we are now at the point were we were when Souness left our club. OUT NOW, ITS TIME TO WIELD THE AXE.
tony gale's mic Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 EXIT STAGE LEFT. Todays inept efforts leave only thing certain, your time is up. We have regressed so far back we are now at the point were we were when Souness left our club. OUT NOW, ITS TIME TO WIELD THE AXE. I guarantee it will be at least five games before it happens. Five games too long.
sambo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 INCE OUT! A letter should be sent to JW. He's pathetic, he doesn't care.
Martin Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I've had enough of this now. I'm fed up of losing. I'm fed up of a central midfield of Andrews and Mokoena. I'm fed up of Ince's geezer style interviews. I really am fed up.
bubblerrovers Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 INCE OUT ASAP JW you made a horrible mistake and it may already be too late to save this season. We ARE the worst team in the premiership
Rovermatt Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 He needs to be cut now. The situation is perilously close to being beyond redemption.
sambo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Doesn't Williams read this board? INCE OUT he is a disgrace
dew22 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Pitiful. All year he's played players out of position, not subbed correctly, and hardly adjust tactics during the game. Every football fan can see his mistakes. You hope as a Rovers fan he learns week-to-week, but it appears the situation only gets worse! I'm shocked there has not been more rumblings in the press about his job security.
roverfanuk Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 The problem we have now, is that if we sack Paul Ince as we SHOULD do. The new manager we bring in is not going to have had time to compile a list of players we should be targeting for the January Transfer Window. Much the same as Ince's excuse during the summer. In my opinion, the answer to this problem is bringing in somebody experienced like Alan Curbishley. He has experience in the league to know what players are worth keeping and worth selling and worth buying... Their is no doubt that our squad is lacking, it has no teeth. We need signings, and we need a manager who knows what he is doing!
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Member of the wait and see brigade, now thinking Ince should go. A club with our resources and finances can't afford to go down its as simple as that. I think Ince took a job at this level too early and we are paying for it. Stupid mistakes are going to see us go down.
