SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Bringing Fowler was the biggest joke EVER and now Jansen could get a contract who next john Barnes. Clayton and Douglas have both been asked to train again with the club I do believe!

thenodrog Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Keegan would be a good shout but then again even doubts over his commitment? Would he hell. Complete disaster area. He can only manage when he has a bucketful of cash. The board also need to take a hard look at each other and think about their own positions as well, we need investment and they need to admit that they went for the cheaper option in Ince and that is has backfired greatly. As much as i were against Sam Allardyce over the summer, i would have to man leading the team anyday now. I may not favour his tactics but he knows how to win football games and how to get the best out of people. Most of all, he would have the respect of the dressing room, something i really doubt Ince has at the moment. Big Sam is the answer and if JW cannot see this, he needs to receive his P45 at the same time as we are going down faster than a prostitutes knickers on a busy Friday night. Basically you have just said that the board were as clueless as you ihtd. I suggest that you take a long hard look at your own judgement too.
scotchrover Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 As someone once said, "We're up the creek" Just out of interest can we restart the Poll as surely now everybody wants Ince sacked for god sakes. Anyone who doesn't needs to name and shame themselves
Mozzer Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 im willing to give paul ince a couple more games to see if he can turn it around but if he was sacked i think sam allardyce is the man we should get..he may not play the best football-but his football team(bolton) got results..he also has an eye for a bargain abit like mark hughes...
jim mk2 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 its not even JW fault he being told what to do from the owners. Wrong. Rovers' predicament is entirely down to Williams : for whatever reason he appointed Ince instead of better qualified candidates. Williams has only one function : to appoint the right manager. If Rovers are relegated he should resign too.
scotchrover Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Bringing Fowler was the biggest joke EVER and now Jansen could get a contract who next john Barnes. NO NO NO It has to be Kenny Daglish maybe Souness???
tony gale's mic Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Wrong. If Rovers are relegated he should resign too. Agree with JW having a big role to play here but he's got many more functions to do than just appoint the right manager.
Alex Rover Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 What about keeping Ince and getting in a proper experienced coach as mentor, such as El Tel Venables. Seem to recall it working at Middlesboro with Bryan Robson some years ago to keep them up.
ABBEY Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 for once im speechless....how can he say it was good performence? did gomes make a save? wtf was olsson thinking or andrews who did his best to get us down to 9 men....i went to a christening and ended up watching(the do was at brig) nobend girls v rotherham girls and there were more fire in their bellies than we showed for the past 8 games...ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND A NOBENDER SAID TO " I DIDNT REALISE HOW BAD YOU ARE!"

They might have had soething else other than a good pre match meal eh abbey
Atty Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Not if you’re under instruction from the Walker Trust its not. He is the chairman but under instruction from the walker trustees. Was it not his job to get the shortlist together and put it to the board? Then they decide who they want as a manager remember back just before we appointed Paul Ince we had a board meeting. Are you sure it was JW who picked Ince or was it a member of the walker trust?

jim mk2 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Agree with JW having a big role to play here but he's got many more functions to do than just appoint the right manager. Realising he has made a mistake and acting quickly to correct it is another function but can he do it ? On past evidence I don't think he can.
T4E Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Realising he has made a mistake and acting quickly to correct it is another function but can he do it ? On past evidence I don't think he can. There is NO evidence of it. I don't recall JW ever making as big a decision as this off his own back.
LDRover Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Time for him to make a name for himself and do the right thing then. Has he got the balls? Debatable. Also, for the pro-Ince lobby, assuming there are still some out there, what have you seen during his tenure that makes you BELIEVE he will get us out of this predicament?

This is a first but I agree largly with what you said, Gomes did not make ONE save, how can that be playing well? No wins in 8 games is NOT good enough.
philipl Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 JW made the recommendation for Ince's appointment and the Board voted it through. As Chairman, Ince is John Williams' appointment. Just watched the second half of Sunderland v West Ham. These are clubs that we have to get ahead of to stay up and frankly their players are not better than our's other than us playing Andrews and Mokoena together. What was screamingly obvious is just how much better organised than Rovers both teams are.
bob fleming Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 What makes you believe there is any manager out there than can do much better? More to the point is there any manager out there who can do any worse? Come on people - someone answer LD's post. OK - let's be honest, there is absolutely NOTHING to suggest that we'll improve under the current management set up. Nothing. Name one positive, anything, that has happened over the last 5 months?
jim mk2 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 What makes you believe there is any manager out there than can do much better? Sam Allardyce : the club don't need to look any farther.
John Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 OK - let's be honest, there is absolutely NOTHING to suggest that we'll improve under the current management set up. Nothing. Name one positive, anything, that has happened over the last 5 months? Part of the problem is that Ince has never really got a 'buzz' going during his time here. Everything he has done has been poor in quality and one constant moan. New managers should bring with them a feel good factor, but its just not happening. After taking just three points from eight games, there can be no doubt that Blackburn are in a relegation battle

The Prof. Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Sam Allardyce : the club don't need to look any farther. This board/ownership regime is one of the tightest since David Brown refused to pay £8,000 for David Gregory (circa. 1977). They won't appoint BFS on expense grounds and they will deserve everything they get. We unfortunately will get it too. Part of the problem is that Ince has never really got a 'buzz' going during his time here. Everything he has done has been poor in quality and one constant moan. New managers should bring with them a feel good factor, but its just not happening. After taking just three points from eight games, there can be no doubt that Blackburn are in a relegation battle Or 3 points from 24 - we're right up against it now.

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 ''Their one class act, Roque Santa Cruz, was apathy incarnate; he looks like a man waiting for a transfer window to open.'' When he goes will someone pass me the rope?
