Amo Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 John Williams has made a major f**kup with this appointment and he has to take some of the blame. He tried to copy the previous model (inexperienced young manager) and it’s completely backfired. Ince has to go and we need to bring in an experienced manager to ensure premier league survival. The only difference is Hughes was managing at international level, with big personalities. Ince was in the nether regions of the football league, inspiring players with his Guv'nor reputation. It doesn't take a genius to figure out they aren't the same case at all.

John Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I think it is time. As much as I would like to see him succeed, he (and the coaching staff) just seems completely out of his depth.
imy9 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Agreed with the motion but Big Sam? This weekend could not get any worse...
Mr. E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Time for a change. Players must be shattered today after that capitulation. Whilst we are at it, please get rid of a number of the "players" too. I'd kick Nelson, Samba and Pedersen out the club before Ince. The youth players certainly can't do worse.
PAFELL Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Date: 30th November 2008 From: Suffering Rovers supporters. Subject: Paul Ince, manager Problem: Club in freefall, three points gained out of last 27, team languishing in 19th place, confidence shattered, manager apparently unable to turn around fortunes. Consequences of status quo: Relegation and in view of restructuring required possible relegation again the next season. Action: Dismiss 10am Monday morning and seek to engage services of Mr S Allardyce. Yep get him out now. Paul Ince is not ready for the premiership - he is not good enough for Rovers, INCE OUT OUT OUT
brfc_andrewtatt Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Time to go Mr Ince, about 3 weeks too late(or maybe 5 months)
The Rover of Finland Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 There´s no question. Ince must go. Asap.
Exiled in Toronto Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Yep get him out now. Paul Ince is not ready for the premiership - he is not good enough for Rovers, INCE OUT OUT OUT And if he's not gone by 10.05 Monday, WILLIAMS OUT OUT OUT I seem to recall in t'good owd days, we sang 'sack the board' a lot more than 'sack....(insert manager's name)'
Amo Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 You took a chance, Mr.Williams, but you can no longer afford to gamble the future of Blackburn Rovers FC in the hopes that Paul Ince will become another Mark Hughes. We need to install an experienced manager asap, so that we can once again become a team that is hard to break down and won't be walked through while trying to play some modicum of 'good football'.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 The only difference is Hughes was managing at international level, with big personalities. Ince was in the nether regions of the football league, inspiring players with his Guv'nor reputation. It doesn't take a genius to figure out they aren't the same case at all. I agree with your Hughes point, its one i raised as well when Ince was first appointed. Clearly Williams thought Ince was worth the gamble and that perhaps he had some similar qualities to what Hughes had. Williams tried to repeat Hughes's success and its clearly backfired.
1864roverite Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Likewise, fully agree. The only course of action is to issue several p45's. INCE OUT
Backroom Tom Posted November 30, 2008 Backroom Posted November 30, 2008 Dammit I have to join you, sorry Paul time is up. SOS Big sam
Mr Creosote Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Sad to say it's time for Ince to go. Even sadder that the only realistic, logical replacement is Allardyce.
AggyBlue Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Ince needs to sign four or five good Premier League players in the January window, let's hope the board backs him fully, the alternative will be relegation.
tony gale's mic Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Sad to say it's time for Ince to go. Even sadder that the only realistic, logical replacement is Allardyce. If he takes us up the table you won't have that attitude for long. edit: Allardyce I mean. The only place Ince will take us up is sh!t creek.
Amo Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 The sad thing is, Williams thought THIS was a better option than Michael Laudrup. Who cares if the guy wouldn't fully commit long-term. It was a win-win situation, if you ask me. If Laudrup was snatched by another team, it would have shown he was doing a good job. And if he flunked, it would have been less money to pay up. But alas...
T4E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Ince needs to be nowhere near this football club when the transfer window opens. He hasn't a clue and we don't need him bankrupting us, relegation is quite enough.
Wiggy Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 There is absolutely not a cat in hells chance that Ince and his 4th rate coaching team can turn this around. We won't get anything against Liverpool whoever is in charge but we need to get something from Wigan and Stoke. I'm sure an experienced Premier League manager could motivate these players to beat both. With Ince in charge we will be outfought by both and relegation will be sealed. If Big Sam isn't appointed soon expect him at the Stadium of Light lifting Sunderland out of the doldrums.
tony gale's mic Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Ince needs to sign four or five good Premier League players in the January window, let's hope the board backs him fully, the alternative will be relegation. Do you HONESTLY think we should give him until January?! The sad thing is, Williams thought THIS was a better option than Michael Laudrup. Who cares if the guy wouldn't fully commit long-term. It was a win-win situation, if you ask me. If Laudrup was snatched by another team, it would have shown he was doing a good job. And if he flunked, it would have been less money to pay up. But alas... I'm still as flabbergasted now by that decision as I was back then.
Mr Creosote Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 If he takes us up the table you won't have that attitude for long. Yes, I will.
roverfanuk Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Put simply. If the board don't back Ince during the transfer window. We will get relegated. On this basis, the board must have a lacking of trust in Ince's abilities to sign players and the future. On this basis, they should sack him. If they realise our need to sign players to survive, they have to sign a experienced manager...
T4E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Yes, I will. Yet you refer to others as "pathetic t0ssers". Lovely.
sparky12 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 sorry paul but i think its time to throw in the towel
PAFELL Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Agreed with the motion but Big Sam? This weekend could not get any worse... Not too sure about BFS myself - but I would have him instead of Ince. We also have to realistic who else is available and would want the job - now. Rovers had just finished 7th and then appointed Ince. Now they are second bottom of the prem, who would want to take the job on now?
