Personally, i think we should be embracing every single match we get 3 points in the league from, but hey, im one of those optimistic guys that dislikes relegation 6-7 months after finishing in the top half of the table with virtually the same squad!

If i have to see Paul Ince's stupid grin one more time during the crisis, im going to loose it!

INCE OUT!

That's the sort of situation were I believe Paul Ince can't win. Apparently on some occassions he looks like a dead man walking, visibly feeling the pressure and a man about to crack.

Next minute he's smiling (probably trying to lift spirits and keep upbeat) - and now he doesn't care?

" To be honest, he's been immense ...........around the changing rooms; all the boys look up to him and he's loving being here.

"We haven't done anything about it yet but we'll sit down and talk about a new contract."

PI talking about his star striker on Radio Lancs tonight.

Lyndsey Talbot is his secretary, but the email will be JW's own words. He's never been one to hide from the fans.

They may well be JW's own words, but they weren't written in response to Billy's e-mail. It's a circular going out to everyone - several people of the LT site got exactly the same.

Still, it means he clearly thought through a more personal response to Jan's!

Inces' comments today seem like a call to arms, last throw of the dice.

Let's see if they work.

By the way, I know we all care, but please less of the personal insults on Ince like pr*ck, idiot etc etc. I am sure Ince wants to do well but as we know its not happening at the moment (and may never do).

Point I am making is that I am sure he is trying his best, which at this moment in time is not good enough.

I'm trying to give Paul Ince some support and encouragemnent but if hes on about Blobbie Fowler here then coco the clown he is, simply he has to go with immediate effect with that kind of view regarding suitable players for Blackburn Rovers.

Fowler, Andrews, Simpson and Villaneuva are not good enough to wear the Blackburn Rovers jersey.

Why does he keep banging on about everyone wanting British or English to succeed? 99.9% of our support wouldn't give a flying one if the manager was Outer Mongolian, or from a recently discovered Amazonian tribe, as long as we competed properly in this league.

Am I the only Rovers fan who is finding the constant vilification of Paul Ince more and more offensive?

I'm not sure how people can look in the mirror at present. Yes we are having a terrible time of it, the management are clearly struggling and we can all see the probems on the field but the level of abuse being directed at Ince is disgraceful. I'm beginning to feel he should have the chance to stay and prove the doubters wrong.

We are talking about our football club and a man who I hope believes he is doing his very best to manage that club. Put in the same situation I know how I'd react to some of the stuff on this board. Ince is demonstrating a remarkable degree of self-control, which of course he should but it must be very difficult. By all means discuss the performances, team etc but remember you might be severly impacting on a man's career and future.

I really hope we don't see the sort of scenes at Ewood that I fear we will on Saturday.

Good shout Wiggy. Scott Minto loosely mentioned Ince being under pressure when he was covering Sunday's game and followed it up with 'he's getting the support from his board that we all want young English managers to get'.

WTF? We're not a sodding experimental ground for poor managers that just happen to be English, there's a hell of a lot more at stake here.

He is NOT the first NOR will he be the last manager of a football team to be given a hard time by a clubs supporters Paul.

We have been there, seen it and got the t-shirts.

We do not want a repeat of the dark days of KIDD and as of today I have seen NOTHING to be positive about my beloved team.

It has gotten so bad that right now, I am playing scrabble on t'internet and watching BURNLEY at the same time, it is THAT HEARTBREAKING it all I can do.

There is and has to be a better option for BRFC

Disagree completely. Yes people should cut out some of the personal stuff, but right now it's not extended to anything more than "idiot" and "buffoon" and even then most of the criticisms had reasons behind them, like tactics, signings, our position in the league etc. I'm not saying it's right to use personal terms, but this is something people feel strongly about and words get said in anger. Words like "idiot" get banded around all the time towards people in a position of power who are screwing up..Bush, Blair, Brown, Major, McLaren, Graham Taylor etc etc. Always has done. I'm sure the Romans would say similar things about their emperors. I don't think, however, it has crossed the line. We haven't had anything violent or racist. If you've seen things more unacceptable than what I've pointed out then show me.

And I don't think Ince is reacting to this board. I doubt he reads it, we know JW does but I'd be surprised if Ince did. In his interview he's said:

"There are people trying to tear this club apart and it's bang out of order," Ince said.

"People want us to fail, to not do well, to not succeed, and to not stay up.

I doubt he's referring to the fans.

Is he showing a remarkable degree of self control? I'm not so sure. These sort of remarks get banded about on EVERY clubs messageboards when they have a failing manager I'm sure. If Portsmouth or Villa, the clubs who finished either side of us last season, got a manager who suddenly led them to 19th I guarantee there'd be similar chat. You don't see other managers lashing out when they're under pressure, granted Ince hasn't really lashed out either yet but to say he's showing remarkable self control is pretty inaccurate.

As fans we are seeing our club sliding towards relegation at an alarming rate. Should we not speak out about this?

remember you might be destroying a man's career and future.

 Come on seriously, this man is a ex footballer who has played for some of the worlds' top clubs. The only man destroying his future is himself with the current job he's doing for us. HE on the other hand may be destroying a proud football club's future, from which it may never recover if it gets relegated.

I admire certain qualities Ince has brought to Rovers but I am also worried about other aspects, naturally, considering our position.

However, I feel that many people have been eagerly waiting for him to fail to justify the alacrity with which they repeatedly plunge their knife.

That a quip about relegation in his press conference aroused genuine discontent amongst certain people is a clear example of the prejudice (no, I'm not saying it's racism).

Even if Ince does get the sack, it will not necessarily kill his managerial career. Sam Allardyce has failed at two clubs, if I read the records right - Blackpool and Newcastle. Graeme Souness even more!

I would give Ince a couple more games to turn things around.

I'm sure you're not Paul.

I've no doubt either that the supporters of Ince are getting shouted down to a certain degree. The only thing I can say is, - that's how it goes with Football fans everywhere. Most people who post on here are passionate about the club, so it follows that passionate posts will follow. I can't see that comments about the managers team selections, tactics etc are out of order, but abuse directed towards him is most definately not acceptable.

Having said that, two points:

1] I'm not sure exactly who you're aiming at here. If you could be a bit more specific about the type of post that's annoying you, that might help.

2] If anyone thinks that I personally am becoming an arse on this topic, I will do my best to tone things down a bit.

Whether they have or not, Ince could easily shut them up by doing the job asked of him. He's made a rod for his own back.

Not you Den, but there's been a lot of personal crap thrown about by the usual suspects, including a reference to Ince coming from a council estate.
