Too many knee jerks ?

We rae sailing out of the top league without a fight whilst little old burnley are beating arsenal.

and you think that is a knee jerk ?

Yes lets see Rovers go down and Burnley take our place and all because a manager couldnt see his own mistakes and admit them

Even if Ince does get the sack, it will not necessarily kill his managerial career. Sam Allardyce has failed at two clubs, if I read the records right - Blackpool and Newcastle. Graeme Souness even more!

I would give Ince a couple more games to turn things around.

I was thinking about this today because I do wonder, if fails with us, whether he'll get another crack at the Premier League, unless he takes a team up.

How can Ince improve the situation for us? It's quite clear to me that if we continue as we are, we're going down, but I would also suggest that it is possible for the manager to turn it round, but he would have to be radical in his thinking.

He obviously needs to bring in a number 2, literally next week, who would play a more prominent role than him;

he would take training-to a Premier League standard;

he would work with the full current squad to pick the most appropriate team for each match;

he would recommend January purchases who would be of Premier League standard, for positions we need to fill.

Ince would have to be prepared to take a step back to resolve the dire position he has gotten us into.

I don't know if Ince/JW would know such a person or if Ince could swallow his pride for this to happen. Could he be this radical?

1] I'm not sure exactly who you're aiming at here. If you could be a bit more specific about the type of post that's annoying you, that might help.

I'm not aiming it at anybody. I've posted my criticism of what I've seen on the pitch, you and I have chatted about it at half time. However to read this board at present Ince cannot do anything right, every single action or word is being disected and put in the worst possible light. Everything he says is being turned against him, frankly I think it's very, very unfair - and I know I'll probably get laughed off the MB for that remark but I've never shied away from expressing my view before so I won't now. I'm not annoyed, more offended by the tone of what I read.

For example Ince says we should "embrace the occassion" tomorrow night and people deride him. Mind you those posters have ignored his other comments in the same article and in the later one in which Ince states "we respect United but do not fear them" - Hughes would have said just the same.

I'm not expressing this well and do not under estimate the situation the club faces but I also feel many comments on this site are over the top

Inces' comments today seem like a call to arms, last throw of the dice.

Let's see if they work.

By the way, I know we all care, but please less of the personal insults on Ince like pr*ck, idiot etc etc. I am sure Ince wants to do well but as we know its not happening at the moment (and may never do).

Point I am making is that I am sure he is trying his best, which at this moment in time is not good enough.

what like when he slagged us when he was coming back from italy.....I DONT FORGOT PUBLIC SLAGGGINGS OF OUR CLUB AND I DONT CARE HOW LONG AGO IT WAS EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ince is the new Bond.

John Bond.

WAS TALKING TO A DINGLE AT WORK TODAY(i know i shouldnt of but i did)....he likened him to the new waddle.

Some of the stuff has been out of order, childish almost, in tone and content.

Hardly suprising cos many children are members on here Macca.

btw I hope you thought the same about that inane facebook stuff in summer.

Not you Den, but there's been a lot of personal crap thrown about by the usual suspects, including a reference to Ince coming from a council estate.

I agree. A throw away remark that was not relevent to his tenure at BRFC. I'd wager the likes of Shanks, Paisley, Clough, Ferguson etc were no strangers to low-cost housing estates.

btw Ince did admit again to Gaby Yorath that it's the admin stuff does his head in. ;)

As you know I favoured BFS over Ince during the summer, but if people wan to campaign via the internet. that's up to them. Not nearly as daft as saying they'd play golf on match days. Going tomorrow btw? And less of the Macca; Mella will do just fine.

It wasn't a throw away remark at all. It was nasty stuff from a small-minded troll.

I really hope we don't see the sort of scenes at Ewood that I fear we will on Saturday.

If Rovers fall to yet another spineless defeat what sort of reaction are you expecting Paul?.I think the home fans have been patient but its wearing VERY thin now.

I hold my hand up and admit calling him a prick goes maybe too far but its born out of nothing more than pure frustration at the moment with Ince and this team, even his ruddy interviews are dodgy.

** BIG SIGH **

I think he has every right to feel proud to lead a team out as manager at the club where he really made his name. There's nothing wrong in what he said at all!

Im not proud to go and watch, possibly the worst Rovers team ive seen for ages!

Does anyone actually expect us to win tomorrow?we are quietly becoming a joke!

If we played Burnley tomorrow we'd lose, infact if we played anyone we'd struggle!

Ince is not capable of turning things around, He would have done so by now!

The coaches are laughable!

Changes are needed!ASAP!

What's wrong with calling Ince a prick as well as a rank bad manager? He is both and should pick up his P45 asap.

INCE OUT NOW!

Thank you very much lads......I rest my case which you have proved in the most eloquent fashion possible.

As I said earlier the more people insist on insulting the man the more I come to feel he should stay, even though that is not what i want to see from the football point of view.

I'd like to see Ince gone sooner rather than later, BUT

The difference between this season and last is only an effective arse-kicking half time team talk, IMHO. How many times were we APPALLING in the first half last year, with largely the same players? Hughes could (sometimes, anyway) drag a second half performance out of them to salvage a point or three, Ince has yet to achieve that.

Biggest mistake was not making a "statement" signing to replace Bentley - I suspect that would have reassured the squad and reduced the tension levels significantly.

well i personally dont have any problems, with people calling ince an idiot..

if your actions are as such, why not be called one..

his signings are actually close to stupid, his tactics are obviously not working, his habit of playing players out of position, is also stupid, he is continually being outsmarted by other managers, and given those circumstances,i feel fans of the club, have every right to discuss ince´s intellect, when it comes to managing a premier team..

why this is even up for debate, amazes me.. this not politics, this is (Please don't use that word again)ing football, this is emotions, this is passion, so essentially your asking people to shut down and forget their feelings and what they are passionate about, just because of poor paul..

personally i couldnt give a ###### about mr ince, but what i do give a ###### about, is the club, i couldnt care less about his feelings, thats not my problem, my problem is his handling of my club, so how about this fool, showed me something, which could ease my concerns..

Er...to be fair that's a bit ridiculous from your point of view.

I'm not defending the insulting but as I said before it's a pretty natural reaction to someone in power screwing up something you care about. Bush, Blair, Major, McLaren, Graham Taylor, it happens each and every time. Only very occasionally has it crossed the line though, such as when AESF had a crack at Ince's council house background...but then that's him for you.

If you honestly put those your own sensitivities over the good of your own football club then it's a sorry state of affairs.

Paul,

I for one wholeheartedly support your comments. I don't think I've posted any comments about Ince at all - I prefer to keep my counsel for at least half a season. I have found myself reading many threads on here less and less over the last few weeks as they are primarily slanging matches and non stop abuse with very little reasoned debate - my apologies to anyone who has tried to raise the tone - you are very much in the minority at the moment.

I'm one of the c500 who will be at Old Trafford tomorrow and whilst I can understand any fan who refuses to pay the ridiculous ticket prices at least I can be fairly sure that those that are going will be real fans prepared to support their team when they need it. I despair of anyone who believes that taking along Ince Out banners or chanting the same during the match on Saturday will help the club in any way whatsoever.

so basically, your critisizing, ince criticisers.. just gotta love the irony..

and you stating "with very little reasoned debate", isnt that actually similar to claiming, that those peoples opinion isnt based on facts.. so i ask, what constitutes proper critisism..??

trying to be holy, while your doing exactly the same yourself, pointing fingers.. hmm ill just guess, that the resoned debate you were after, wasnt that important after all..
