I absolutely for the life of me can't see why he hasn't been sacked yet.

Please please please, sack him.

I can't think of one decent reason to keep hold of him.

Money, what else? Millions of our tiny transfer budget pounds will dissappear, and then we'll get in a new man with some nouce, and he'll have just enough money left to sign a couple of league two players, great.

Curiously what sort of dollar do you all reckon Mathias, Knox, Howard, Army guy, The other Mk don bloke and Winterburn are on?

Ince has a 1.5M 3 year contract, how much to get rid of the rest as well?? I have no idea what a top flight coach gets paid I've never asked anyone?

I'm really beginning to think we are dammed if we do and dammed if we don't.

God knows what they are on, I shudder to think.

The army guy won't be on much, he'll be living in the woods under a bivvie, living off road-kill, so no worries there.

Surely we don't have to pay his contract up in full? They wouldn't have been stupid enough to open themselves up to that possibility, surely?

I don't think there is much longevity in Inces' tenure with us.

Obviously results have been dreadful. However, just as important, he does not believe he can do the job with the resources at his disposal. He mentions money everytime, and not just in relation to us. Pre Man Utd he was going on about the value of Tevez. In addition, he wants us to splash the cash in January, something which is unlikely to happen.

Even if we did give him some money for January, I could not see him budgetting effectively for the summer as well. For a number of reasons, January is not always the best time for brining in quality players anyway. Its as if he has not realised that he has to wheel and deal when he is manager of BRFC??

We are in a complete mess.

It could only be:

a) They think they should stick by him as he will turn things around - this is nuthouse thinking

B) They want to get shot but want to have someone lined up first - but surely we could get a caretaker from somewhere?

c) They're just crossing the "t"'s on his P45

I think it's

d) Acute embarrasment at making a terrible decision back in the Summer and a lack of bottle to make a difficult decision now

Nearly wet myself there,

Don't want to take this off track, but is the army bloke our fitness coach? I know in the past we had Tony Strudwick (now Man Utd fitness coach), then Damian Roden.

Judging by their fitness levels ,I think we've hired Private Pike!

Given their complete lack of experience you would hope for a clause, but as JW said we don't do clauses anymore.

I was shocked Ince got three years straight I had expected one to two with an option due to the risk factor, but if JW saw it as a long term appointment it follows that there might not be any clauses. Putting a clause in his contract hardly shows long term commitment on the clubs part.

I would not be surprised if on average they pulled in around 250K a year, and if they all have the same term as Ince?

thats another 1.5M over 3 years. So total 3(speculative)* 2.5 = 7.5M so lets say between 6-8M if we have to pay in full. We also signed Ince on compo along with his team add that on top, if in the worst case Ince could be a 10M mistake, isn't that our yearly kitty?

You could also say that because he's not been canned yet, that it could suggest a lack of clause as well, if it was say a year with two year option I reckon he would be gone by now.

I'm begginning to understand JW's dilemma, if the trust will not put money in except their promised 3M there will be bugger all left for players.

If Ince goes and a new man comes in Compo for him and his team as well if he's at another club and it keeps on rising.

Then we need players, but we'll have no money cue City. We will accept it and have no choice but too, to fund the new players we desperatly need. Even if we try and raise cash by selling others MGP, Roberts, Nelsen, Moko and so on what money are clubs gonna pay for them given their form over the last season or so.

Who would be JW?

Anyway, the good news was in yesterday's LT, which you might have missed.

"...PI has hinted that despite limited appearances........may remain a part of his future plans.

"It's been hard for us to get........on the pitch because of the situation we've been in.

It's the same for Carlos. We've not had too much opportunities to throw them in and have a look at them.

But one thing I will say about.........is that he's fantastic to have around the changing room.

He's got experience, character and that's what we need at this moment in time.

We'll sit down with him in the next couple of weeks and see where we go from here."

So Fowler might be staying longer.

And in a seperate article, Ince said Winterburn was hurting just like everybody else over the club's costly mistakes at the back.

I just thought you might like to know!

thats actually a good observation.. hadnt thought about it, in that way .. (regarding his beliefs without funds)

it seems rather desperate, with his constant ramblings, about the lack of money and the need to bring in new players..

likewise it doesnt really reflect, that he trusts the players at hand, it really shows poor management skills, even by his standards.. given that the majority of those players, finished 7th just last year..

think it's Duncan Russell, used to be fitness coach at MK ****ing dons.

"You! You got a big dick or something? Put your legs together then! Squad atten-shun! Pass to the left, to the left to the left! Privates pass to the ... LEFT! You! You think that's funny or something?! Drop down and give me 20 mis-placed passes!"

So who do you think you are kidding Mr Williams, if you think we'll win a game? Mr Ince makes us wince with each passing game, he's got a staff of hundreds yet we lose just the same.

He's Howards assistant is he not? I thought Howard was head of sports science and GI Joe was helping him out.

I'm quite surprised by our perceived fitness levels and the amount of injuries we have. Howard headed up the Sports Science department at Bolton where Roden worked under him. We poached him from Fulham in similar circumstances to Steele with us, I hate to think what that cost.

However BFS had him at Bolton and the Bar-codes so if BFS came in we'd have one less too SACK, so we''l shave some pennies of the bill.

Keanes resignation and admission he was not up to the premier league shows just how far off the marks we were with Ince. Keane did a better job in the Championship than Ince in League two and was still found wanting in the Premiership. Ince is light years behind Keane.

Board needs to act now.

Ince must be hating keane walking out admitting the jobs beyond him. That action piles sooo much pressure on ince regardless of the money sunderland have got, as when people compare squads forgetting about transfer fees there is very little between the 2 as regards quality. Keanes actions will delight our board as when ince is ultimately canned all the patience, knee-jerk and possibly even racist arguments some newpapers are bound to cry about are nullified by the fact that someone doing a better job has decided themselves that they are'nt good enough.

p.s who controls the p.a system, could cause some mischief with songs at the final whistle in the same way they play appropriate songs at 20/20 cricket matches when a batsman is dismissed...Go now at the end of saturdays game may be very suitable.

I'll lead the attack from the Jack Walker Upper. Look out for for wool blankets and flasks being chucked at Incey.

Crikey Mike does this mean I need to move seats for this game?

Just watched Inces' interview after last night's match on Rovers World, or Rovers Nightmares, as it should maybe be called at the moment.

All he is going on about is how the players are playing for the manager, how there is a good spirit at the club and how even the best manager in the world could not stop the goals we are conceding. Also thanked the supporters at the end of the interview.

I remember when we had a similar spell under Hughes with regards to individual errors at the back. Hughes said they would work on things on the training ground to make things better and get them corrected.

Ince also referred to the 5-6 games after Liverpool which are 'critical' for us (as if to say forget about Liverpool, we will get nothing in that game). Get the impression from watching that interview (and reading in between the lines) he is pretty sure he will still be manager for those 5-6 games..........
