No idea what your going on about

Are you suggesting I think Sam is a bad manager? What you on about?

I think Sam is a good manager

Me incharge of what?

If your suggesting we are ambitious after this summer then good for you

Please make sure your reply makes sense this time

I missed the word 'would' out of my last sentence, apart from that it makes sense.

This is what you wrote:

"BUT if you going to show no ambition, then sam is the man in IMO"

Now to me, albeit with my poor grasp of the English language, that sounds like you are suggesting a club with no ambition would appoint Sam Allardyce...hence my reply, which in that context makes perfect sense. For clarification, I was asking who you would put in charge.

So...I've explained, so you do the same. How is the line quoted above an indication that you think Sam is a good manager?

Last minute goals against Everton, 'Boro, and WBA? He's had his fair share of luck this season.

I don't agree - if he was lucky he wouldn't have lost so many players to injury, or seen players punished for every single stupid mistake they make.

Not saying he has been an outstanding success or anything that stupid - just don't think he has had the rub of the green (on the whole).

Honest question, have we convincingly beaten anyone this season?

Grimsby match comes to mind....

Not really but that's not unusual for Rovers. I don't remember us beating anyone convincingly for a long time now, even under Hughes reign.

Dear Mr Finn,

As a Rovers supporter I felt I wanted to get my views across to someone on the board at Ewood. After hearing that emails to John Williams' secretary were being met with generic responses (admittedly probably an understandable response given the weight of feeling against our current manager), I thought I would try your good self.

The club surely has no option but to sack Paul Ince. This season we have been rudderless. We've gone from a team that finished 7th in the League to a team that is currently 19th, one which is getting worse with each game and is fast becoming the laughing stock of the League. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that if a club like us goes down, it may never return. Some of the signings Ince has brought to Rovers have been mystifying to say the least, and the sight of Roque Santa Cruz being replaced by Robbie Fowler on Wednesday night was one of the most embarassing sights I've ever had to endure as a Rovers supporter.

Stick with Ince and relegation is certain. The longer you all leave this, the worse our chances are of staying up. Make the decision ASAP, and we can get a new manager in for Christmas, he will have time to assess the squad and make signings in January. Wait until January to make the decision and we will spend most of January looking for a new manager rather than signing the reinforcements we desperately need to take us out of this mess.

May I personally recommend Sam Allardyce? I believe fan opinion was a factor in you not picking him last time, and at the time I was against him. But with the position we are in, there are few better realistic options for us, unless you can really pull off a surprise. A cursory glance at the fans' board www.brfcs.co.uk (a site which I hear your colleague John Williams reads) should inform you that many have changed their minds on him. It would be a shame if we dithered and Sunderland moved in for our best realistic prospect.

I hope you will at least make the right decision in removing Paul Ince from his post as soon as possible, and then pick a manager who we can be as confident in as possible to take us out of the predicament we're currently in.

Many thanks,

I thought you were saying "who put you in charge" Thought that was bit harsh

I was suggesting that a club that can't compete in the transfer market needs a manager that is proven with a low budget

So Sam could be successful I think, he had similar lack of resources at Bolton, I also think Bolton showed a lack of ambition

in poorly backing big Sam, until Anelka

Loooks like the vultures are circling for Ince:

Ince pleads for patience but miserable run forces Blackburn to consider their options

• Club discuss whether to give manager more time

• Praise for fans despite jeers at Old Trafford

Don't make Ince next victim - ALEX FERGUSON insists Paul Ince must be given time to get things right at Blackburn.

Cause he does! Im sure Alex would like nothing more then seeing the club who took the trophy off his hands in 94-95 go down with the player who betrayed him at the helm!

Interesting bit of ###### from ince, saying we have 5 or 6 games after the liverpool game where we might pick up points. 2 things there, the 1st sounds like he has no confidence of getting anything against liverpool and secondly he is not even confident of beating the next 5 or 6 teams either. Ince is useless and must go please.

I think we're up the creek now, as Ince had given himself 5-6 games to get points and then he'll walk I suspect - He won't want to appear a lesser man than Keane.

I did not really want Allardyce but like many other saw him as a get out of jail card. It seems this has been lost as Sunderland appear they might approach him - he is doing his best though to make himself look a pratt again by putting himself forward for the Sunderland job. However I suspect that they might be looking to East Lancashire for a more Irish based connection.

I just wish BFS would stop putting himself forward for anything that pops up - he looks more and more like a desperate oaf.

THE guy is a total idiot its as if we cant compete with Liverpool ??? he as no confidence of us getting anything against them on this basis there are grounds for sacking the c*** on gross misconduct !

INCE OUT INCE OUT

"The chairman, John Williams, is for now supportive of Ince and desperate for him to succeed.

LOL I bet he bloody is, it was him who appointed the abysmal failure!

"but they were still singing and cheering at the end

Hang on I will correct you there Paul:-

Its disgraceful that he has publicly ruled out the Liverpool game...

Too right. I've said before on here that this is the one thing that gets me most about Ince. If he's publicly saying things like that then what the hell must the players think?

Ince is most probably busy right now sorting out a club raffle for who gets Gerrard's shirt at the end of the game.

We even looked shaky in that game. The only home win V Fulham was quite lucky and we prob should have been 0-2 down at halftime. In a nutshell, we've been the worst team in the division so far and by some distance!

i got a personal e-mail from JW right now. it was pretty much a genral reply that the board are working hard to keep us up and will act in the best interests of the club and its stakeholders. - whatever that means. he also said that it is very hard since jack walker died and with such a small fanbase.

i also suggested they sack ince and bring BFS in. now.

at least he cares and took his time to write back. thats really nice of him IMO :)

now lets just hope they do the right thing

The championship is extremely tough to get back out of, some clubs take years to recover & some don't seem to.

Look at Coventry, QPR, Ipswich, Notts Forest, Southampton, Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday etc, they were all average to good sides who go down & don't return immediately.

The board should act NOW to prevent the downfall of the club, it is going to be a tough season, everybody predicted the same three to fall straight back down again, but with Hull performing way above expectations it is unlikely now.

Tottenham were in trouble, so changed the manager, look at them now. Newcastle got rid of BFS when they were in the same boat last season & survived. We are in a rut & we need a change, if we don't, we could start february rooted to the bottom with Fowler & Sheringham up front!!

Big Sam did not take Newcasle down the table, quite the opposite in fact, but he did not win the Premiership and the European Cup in the time he was there so he had to go!
