JC4LAB
Ince as a rookie manager needs quality help from his coaching staff but its not there.Dont know if it would work, but I would like to see "old pal"Roy Keane as his No2 to bring in some passion in nothing else.. joey_big_nose
The next 6 games are: Saturday, 06 December 2008 Barclays Premier League Blackburn v Liverpool, 15:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saturday, 13 December 2008 Barclays Premier League Wigan v Blackburn, 15:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saturday, 20 December 2008 Barclays Premier League Blackburn v Stoke, 15:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday, 26 December 2008 Barclays Premier League Sunderland v Blackburn, 15:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, 28 December 2008 Barclays Premier League Blackburn v Man City, 16:15 Saturday, 10 January 2009 Barclays Premier League Fulham v Blackburn, 15:00 You have to think realistically if he fails to get 4-5 points in the first three he is out the door. A crucial issue for him (and Rovers) is when do Grella and Dunn return? If we can get them back (and they don''t immediately become injured again) and we can add a centreback, a right winger of real quality and a fast striker in Jan we become a completely different proposition with quite a decent amount of talent. However I am not sure Ince will get time to see that happen unless he works miracles. It really seems pointless to me to wait to fire him. We clearly need someone else, and unless we move soon we will miss out on BFS who is the only stand out selection.
broadsword
Dunn and Grella back in a fortnight apparently. And it's 6 games *after* the Liverpool game that he wants. That's a luxury we simply can't afford. Things are so bad that it simply must be reviewed game-by-game.

They wont be expecting anything from tomorrow as we've already heard. JW and the board will be praying that we get beat by a minimal margin, as it will enable them to give him those 5 more games which on paper are all winnable. Our board are absolutely desperate for Ince to turn this around, no mistake, we'd have to get a reet hammering tomorrow to see him sacked.

gillibrand
Oh, let them have their moment. They are clearly enjoying themselves. Why not? Afterall, it takes some sort of genius to predict that a novice manager would fail in the Premier League. Thenodrog is proclaiming himself the football Nostradamus. What does that make of JW as a chairman with forsight?
joey_big_nose
Dunn and Grella back in a fortnight apparently. Oh dear. I think it could have all been quite different if those two had been fit for more of the season so far. That said it's Ince's fault he bought a crock and did not bring in someone of better quality to cover for Dunn than Andrews (the money reserved for Villaneuva could have been spent here instead). Anyhow I guess that is with hindsight.
Paul
Time for the fans to truly force Ince out tomorrow as he has publicly written the game off anyway (another disgrace). Unbelievable that some of Ince's mates on here slated people like JAL, thenodrog, Philip, Bryan, myself etc for not being "real fans" when we realised this guy was a muppet two weeks in. I'm a Blackburn fan and not an Ince fan. JW has to make the decision he should have made two weeks after appointing Ince and get him and his crew out now... INCE OUT! With posts of this nature you wonder why you might have got slated?

ace
Time for us to UNITE and support the LIONS in Blue and white and let the DONKEYS play their leadership games on Championship Manager. Snarling at Incy before during or even after the game is not going to influence John Williams ..he will have warned Ince that his performance as manager has not been good enough ..he will "give him time to improve" ( as laid down in the HR handbook : "Dealing with poor performance") and sack him without compensation when we lose to Blyth/Bournemouth in the Cup! mhead
Not done at all well since you all sacked the Drummer. New song on the tannoy...should only lose 2-1 and then 5000 at wigan for the revival.
LeChuck
I know! But he's under pressure and saying tomorrow is a game we need to win or will win, when in all honesty we won't would be suicidal for Ince. Why does everyone work in extremes around here? "We can win" or "we'll do our best and go for a win" would be nice, wouldn't it? He doesn't have to promise anything, but he certainly doesn't have to write it off before it has even begun. Good post ace or should it be ace post. I'll certainly be backing Rovers vocally in as positive a manner as I can and will continue to do so, even if we go a goal down I'll give Ince and the team plenty of time to turn the deficit around, but, if they dont look like doing so and show all kinds of negatives in their demeaner then the backlash will come. I fully agree with Waggy and co that its support we should all be giving down at Ewood tommorrow, but another mixed bag performance from Rovers will question how long can ones patience lasts. Athlete
To be fair, I can understand why Paul Ince has said nothing about tomorrows game. We have all pretty much wrote it off as defeat and if Ince says its one will can win and we don't he will get slated. Stoke, Wigan, Sunderland etc we potentially should be beating. If Ince is going to get more time I'd give him Liverpool and Stoke. If we don;t win against Stoke it has to be goodbye. Liverppol arent unbeatable they are lacking goals at the moment and are overdue a defaet but by us ???? under MH I would have had a nice wager on us but under this clown it would be money down the drain ! Another thing in the past under hughes and Souness the so called big 4 used to hate playing us and came unstuck against us on a quite a few occasions but under Ince ?? played big 4 4 times not even a draw and averaged just over 3 goals against defecit WTF ?? INCE OUT INCE OUT

We pretty much got a hammering in mid-week but i can fully understand what you mean. I'm predicting a 1-0 defeat tomorrow, which as you point out would give Ince the stay of execution that he needs. We could get a battering all game as we did with United but if the scorelines tight then Ince will still come out with the usual 'could have gone either way, the boys put in 110%' etc etc. I'd want nothing more than a win for us tomorrow as our season could all turn around with a victory against one of the big boys, but I genuinely cannot see anything but another defeat. It's quite worrying that it may take a right spanking or another 5-6 winless games for Ince to be handed his p45.
Paul Mellelieu
It looks as if Ince has been given a few games to get away from the bottom of the league, so for now we have to back him and the team. All this "Itold you so" stuff has to stop, because a) it's very boring and a nonsense. If Ince had a fit midfield to choose from we'd have picked up more points, probably than City, and is the promoted clubs had fared as expected, we'd be OK. Having said that Ince has made a difficult situation worse, and that's why he's under so much pressure. There is still a chance that with Dunn and Grella returning and with the rub of the green that we'll start picking up points and move up the league. But that looks unlikely. However for now the club's supporters need to get behind the team and show some fight.

Ricky
I'll be there and I'll be backing the team. my_name_is_Earl
All those who think Ince should be given time are either deluded or haven't seen much of Rovers this season. I'm sorry but the majority of performances this season have been nothing short of woeful. Even in the victories, tactically there is a lot to question. Physically, we have been short, a complete lack of a pressing game is allowing players to run through us at will and we are completely vulnerable at the back. Physically we are way behind the levels required, tactically we are inept of late, we are picking the wrong players for the wrong positions (injury crisis or not). I can't believe some people feel Ince has any more to offer. He has been here since mid-summer and has had five or so months to even simply retain the squad's levels of fitness yet, to a blind man, they are way short. Whilst I admire the enthusiasm and the character of the players for not giving up in games and Ince's positive (if not delusional) attitude towards our immediate future, the performance against United was the final straw as 400 odd other fans who were there will agree with. The players heads finally dropped, it appears they to have lost faith in Ince (as have a large selection of fans) and it is because of this that Ince will never get us out of this situation and therefore needs to go. I actually like his character and even Keith Andrews has been an ok signing in my opinion but he has lost the majority of the fans and seemingly now the players. I will still go to every game as I always do and I'll still be singing for the players but for me Ince is a dead man walking. P.S. Well done to all those Rovers fans who completely outsung United on Wednesday. That level of support is superb and shows how strongly the fans are still behind the players.
