1864roverite Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I cannot wait for the INCE comments after this game. Rovers cannot go any lower down in this league such is the poor form of WBA and with a Rovers team unable to pass, unable to create, seemingly unable to defend, we are a sure fire bet to be second bottom come Xmas. There is no basic ethic in this team. The simple things like pass and move dont exist. its down to the management to instill in their teams the workrate and tactics to use in a game, Ince hasnt done any of that such is the poor way we concede possession.

Plastic Head Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Pedersen replaced due to taking the worst free-kick in football history. We are certainties for relegation at the moment. The worst team in the league by a good distance.
SamTheShrew Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 my observations: we have been shocking and we are still in the game, spurs are weak aswell. and yet we don't ever look like scoring benni and MGP both had decent chances that could have been converted. it was painstakingly obvious that olsson would walk after the first yellow. he should have been subbed then. im suprised ooijer is still on the pitch aswell the central midfield has been non-existent MGP looks like he might have had a motorcycle crash and forgotten how to play football
1864roverite Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 That's the point though, those are defending Andrews aren't saying hes a shining star on the field. Only that he's playing better than Mokoena is. BUT HE ISNT THATS THE POINT
Amo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Watching Andrews, he strikes me as a poor man's Barry Ferguson.
BRFC1995 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 what is pedersen trying when he kicks the ball, he does'nt get it up or put power in it or even pick someone out, an aimless dink into the middle of the area by a 7 year old would be 100x more effective
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Just a catalogue of individual errors today, they just can't pass to each other. Olsson was just terrible.
James No. 7 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I don't think he's fully fit yet and I'd say the the intention was always to bring him off after 70mins. Emerton is officially Australia's fittest athlete. Whatever, it is still an oversight that both of Andrews and Mokoena are seeing out the 90 minutes.
philipl Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Spurs are far from convincing - we can grab an equaliser here
tony gale's mic Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Spurs are far from convincing - we can grab an equaliser here It just doesn't look like happening.
andrew92 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Spurs are far from convincing - we can grab an equaliser here but wont
sambo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Spurs dont look great but we look devoid of ideas.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 We are getting back into this now a bit.
T4E Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Phil is right - they haven't closed it out and with our penchant for late goals this season there's a chance.
AggyBlue Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 its down to the management to instill in their teams the workrate and tactics to use in a game Nothing wrong with the workrate. Tactics are decided by who is available. Bottom line is that we haven't enough quality players.
Dunnfc Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Had enough now!!! INCE OUT. Boo hiss!!! Im tired of watching the ball in the air and no one willing to go into a 50-50.
AussieinUk Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 nice little roll on the grass by Andrews.. Andrews in a scuffle now.. looks like a Yellow to him. Could this guy be a bigger girl?
Rovers in America Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Jenas should get a red card for taking a swing and kick at Andrews like that. Blackburn surely would have gotten a red if roles were reversed.
stuwilky Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 nice little roll on the grass by Andrews.. Andrews in a scuffle now.. looks like a Yellow to him. Could this guy be a bigger girl? Yes. He could be Jermaine Jenas.
RoverRich Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 That was so stupid from Andrews. Sums up his performance though.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Jenas was lying on top of him and kicking out.
BRFC1995 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 WBA, ROVERS, WIGAN..........................must be short odds now
SamTheShrew Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 manager in a suit spitting on the sidelines. nice touch
1864roverite Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Nothing wrong with the workrate. Tactics are decided by who is available. Bottom line is that we haven't enough quality players. So how do you explain the lack of passing ? The lack of creativity ? The lack of goalscoring chances ? The poor defending ? The lack of picking the second ball in attack and defence ? The lack of protection for Olsson ? That all comes under the term WORKRATE and today Rovers havent had anything positive to come out of this game with exception that the goal difference hasnt taken a battering because of a poor Spurs team being the opposition. Be honest AGGY, Rovers are a pale shadow of the team that finished last season. Is it the fans fault ? is it the teams fault ? or Is it the managements fault ?
sambo Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I can't even be bothered watching, I'm not as angry as normal.... I expected more ineptitude.
