Wolverine Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 To be honest, I would go for that selection Bryan.

grizfoot Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 How come Citeh are playing at home on the same day? Good luck to thoose who are going Manchester will be swamped with people, hope it's a good game for the amount you've forked out. and COME ON ROVERS! we are due a good performance.
modes98 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I think Utd will play a stronger team than they may have done last night, considering Dingles and Derby made it through. It will still be youthful and very beatable. I'd stick 4-4-2 personally, although playing Villaneuva as a striker would make us more 4-4-1-1
Mr Maureen Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Its on live United V Blackburn at the Yukatan bar Stoke Newington rd N16 just up from Dalston on the left, its actually a big great pub not a bar.

Add to that a major accident on the M62 - I'd better set off now! Presumably both are at home because they played each other on Sunday and we played then as well. So did Arsenal but they played a different 11 last night.
yellowsubmarine Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I will be catching this on tv at 4am. Come on ROVERS!
joey_big_nose Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Its on live United V Blackburn at the Yukatan bar Stoke Newington rd N16 just up from Dalston on the left, its actually a big great pub not a bar. Really? I thought they would be showing the Spurs game seeing as its pretty near Tottenham/ Is it defo on? If so I could well make the trip up!
1864roverite Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Even with complimentary tickets I just have not got the get up and go to watch tonights game. The weather, the trip to mankchester, the hassle getting in and out, the awful fare on offer both off and on the pitch and the fact we face humiliation with the trolls going through via arsenal. Not to mention a ground full of foreigners, welsh and southerners and the odd prawn sandwich member. I just cannot get myself interested one single bit. The tingle has gone and the thought of watching or listening just doesnt do me any good at all. good luck to the fans making the trip, have a safe journey. Its a night in with the wife, a beer and NO FOOTBALL
Mr Maureen Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Really? I thought they would be showing the Spurs game seeing as its pretty near Tottenham/ Is it defo on? If so I could well make the trip up! [/quote They show about 4 games simultaniously. The place is so big it works really well.I called them this afternoon to double check the answer was (yes of course we show all the games) And its teeming with East European female bar staff, table service.
Alan75 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Add to that a major accident on the M62 - I'd better set off now! AT 6PM M60, M61, M56 MAJOR HOLD UPS ABOUT 5MPH DUE TO CLOSURE OF M62. EAST LANCS AT STANDSTILL. M66 NOT MUCH BETTER BY THE SOUND OF IT.
RoverRich Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Doesn't sound like there are too many options tonight with the likes of Simpson, Andrews, Nelsen out as well as all the other injured players. I think we would have to go for: Robinson Ooijer Samba Khizanishvilli Warnock Tugay Mokoena Emerton Villanueva Pedersen Santa Cruz Subs: Brown, Olsson, Treacy, Judge, McCarthy, Derbyshire, Roberts Now we should be able to create plenty of opportunites with this team so the key to tonight's result is how well can the back 4 keep it tight. We do stand a chance if we do everything right and have the belief and the passion. Like I said last night this is the best chance we have had in a while to reach a cup final and could be the best we get for another while so lets hope the lads are up for it.
1864roverite Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 You have to play 2 forwards against manure, its the only way they get flustered at the back. remember today they wont have both Vidic and Ferdinand so they need to be unsettling the middle two as early as possible, its what Coventry did last season
Bobby G Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Being shown live here in the Middle East...Midnight local time kick-off. Havent been this excited about a game for us for a long long time. Its effectively 2 games from a trophy...Thats as close we are going to be getting for a long time...I hope INCE gets the boys out in shape. If we concede first, we are out.
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I've got a feeling Peders will get one tonight as he's due a goal and due a good performance.

T4E pointed out to me that it's actually three with the semi being a two legged affair... (Thought I'd get that in there before you T4E! )
Dan Furness Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Just watching MUTV and teams are announced in a min - keep you posted
Dan Furness Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Giggs, Tevez and Nani up front - waiting to hear us
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Does anyone find it an absolute joke that every round featuring Spurs has been the televised game on Sky? I know they are the current holders, but do you honestly think if we were the cup holders that we would be televised every round? No chance. On the game, its winnable if United put out the sort of side I expect, a mish-mash of solid but not spectacular regulars and inexperienced youth. If we get the win it could give us a much needed boost going into our upcoming fixtures, if we lose it will be a couple of less games to worry about and we can fully concentrate on the league. At the very least I want us to make them work hard for the result, if we lose but we have given them a solid game, keeping it tight and the errors stamped out i won't be too downhearted.
LeChuck Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I'm hoping for... Robinson Ooijer Zurab Samba Warnock Pedersen Emerton Tugay Villanueva Derbyshire Santa Cruz We shall see in a minute. Edit: Forgot Emerton...means I can get rid of The Axe anyway.
Mr. E Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Giggs, Tevez and Nani up front - waiting to hear us that's not bloody fair, Ferguson said he'll play the reserves.
Dan Furness Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Foster, Rafael, Neville, Evans, O'Shea, Possebon, Gibson, Anderson, Nani, Tevez, Giggs Robinson, Warnock (right back), Nelsen, Ooijer, Olsson, Emerton, Tugay, Mokoena, Treacy, Santa Cruz, Derbyshire
Bobby G Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Strong trident up there for United...But rather those three than Berbs, Ron, and Rooney. Treacy will give a direct option which isnt bad. Warnock at right back is a shocker... The United defence is there for the taking in my opinion. How about our bench?
den Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Robinson, Warnock (right back), Nelsen, Ooijer, Olsson, Emerton, Tugay, Mokoena, Treacy, Santa Cruz, Derbyshire That doesn't look great, does it! Could be embarrassing.
