I think you'll find that Diouff was plying trhough the middle on Saturday with McCarthy.

He wasn't playing as a true right midfielder/winger, he'd obviously been given instructions to drift in sometimes, but he wasn't really supporting Benni either.

:rover: for a experinced manager lardarse has mase mistake after mistake, other managers have taken over clubs in far worse position than we were, and changed the fortune of that club around.he is now siding with sir alex, which is beyond a joke as far as i am concerned,is he our manager or fergie,s lapdog :brfcsmilie:

This Allardyce/Fergie/Benitez thing seems to have, as usual, been blown way out of proportion. So far all I've seen is he made a couple of lines comment agreeing with fergie, assumedly after a journo asked him about it. How does that translate to him being Fergie's lapdog and suddenly having all his focus on Fergie and not our team? The comment must have taken about a minute at most of his time?

Unless I've missed something, in which case I apologise, it makes all of these comments seem ridiculous.

I don't take much notice of Waggy's comments as to my knowledge he rarely says something worthwhile, but I'm surprised at some others on here. I'm sure some are desperate for Sam to fail and us to be relegated, just so they can say "told you so" <_<

Dont normally comment but the folks on here who are slagging big sam off are prob the ones who started the internet site at the start of the season sayin we did not want him causing him to pull out of the race. Partly there fault that we are in the mix for going down had he been here from day 1 i am 100% convinced we would be well above where we are at the min.

I dont think you can blame the facebookers for recent performances or the dreadful "football" we play.

True True but with the midfield in the shape it is in how would you have us play a quick short passing game with the axe, andrews and warnock in cm needs must.

I'd much rather big sam than ince and if we had him this would not be a problem oh yeah you would moan about the style of football but i get the feeling some just want to moan for moanings sake had we appointed the best manager in the world and were sweeping all before us some would still find something to complain about.

Obviously not, because the team created nothing and lost the game.

Only because of one unfathomable and unpredictable cock up. Withouit that aberration we'd have come home with a point and mission accomplished.

Individual errors are costing us big time. Roberts miss(es), Macarthy's pen miss and Derbyshire ridiculously giving the ball to the opposition in the last seconds and now Andrews abberation could yet prove terminal.

You live on a different planet. I don't know how anyone can think that Andrews was solely responsible for that goal or even that his was the biggest error in the build-up to it. Even if we'd only pick up a point from that match we'd still all be nervous about the run-in. The fact remains that most our nervous because of the nature of the performance, not purely because of the result. Had we looked threatening there would be reason to believe the team could pick up more points this season, but if that performance is repeated, even without the one minute of play in which several errors were made and a goal was conceded, we still won't pick up many points this season.

Extremely rare any side doesn't make a mistake or two per game Gordon - let alone us.

Imo we simply can't afford to be approaching games aiming for a 0-0 and assuming we'll be footperfect and not make any mistakes at all.

Eddie, without that"pass" from Andrews Stoke wouldn't have scored and we wouldn't have lost. You can look with your microscope at what Givet did or Robinson, as you have, but no mistake comes remotely close to that of Andrews. He specialises in picking out an opposition player when under no pressure and has done so all season.

I don't know who I dislike most at the moment, Allardyce or the players. They weren't good enough to play Ince's passing football and they think they are too good to play Allardyce's hoofball.

I get the impression that far too many players haven't wanted to be here since Hughes left and I'm sick of the lot of 'em.

The Bellamy season seems as though from a different era

Can you blame them when they've gone from being a European qualifying team to relegation fodder in a few short months? I don't think I'd want to be here either if it was just a job to me and I thought I could get one just as good if not better elsewhere. They've gone from one poor manager to another manager who seems to think that playing percentage football is the way forward but does not have the personnel to do it. I'm sure they all want to do well and mean to give their all every time they go on the pitch if for no other reason than professional pride. However, it's not happening for them. Have you never thought - there must be a better job/workplace for me out there, because I have, and I like my job. If we take off our blue and white glasses here what are we offering our players at the moment? Job satisfaction? I think not. Now some of it is down to them and I'm not absolving them from blame but I do think I'd be dreaming of another club too at times.

My real team are Manchester United. We have the best manager, the best players and play the best football. We are going to win the league. The fact that I now support the best team means I know lots more about football than you lot. You No Nowt. The atmosphere at OT is ace.
