Ninjathunder Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Its Stuart Hall! I was about to post the very same and as I was scrolling down to do so saw you'd beaten me!

thenodrog Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 :D This is where I do my best impression of theno - digging up an old post to prove a point..I'll try and avoid it in future. Told ya so last June! I'm sure that you can find those posts on your own tgm. Sam. The Man. The Ram. The Wham Bam not thanking the Ma am. Or so they sneer. Raymond Rover Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I am pleased as punch right now, and just wanted to say glad we took the choice of getting Sam in when we did. Keeping the faith is honorable and all but look at Southgate, well done lads you have dug deep and I thank you for it.
Pinch Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Paul Ince, you got lucky, your blip has not been as costly as it could have been. Too true. Onward, Big Sam's Blue n' White Army!
tony gale's mic Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 Told ya so last June! I'm sure that you can find those posts on your own tgm. I still maintain he probably wasn't the best option in June. I, along with others, shouldnt have been so vehemently opposed, but if we were to go back to June I still wouldve picked ten Cate. Different situations...
bob fleming Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Sam. The Man. The Ram. The Wham Bam not thanking the Ma am. etc etc Very Stuart Hall! Tremendous. I'm having that if you don't mind.
John Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I still maintain he probably wasn't the best option in June. I, along with others, shouldnt have been so vehemently opposed, but if we were to go back to June I still wouldve picked ten Cate. Different situations... You really like Ten Cate don't you! Mention him a lot. Big Sam for me....
tony gale's mic Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 It's a shame Ten Cate already had a job.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/ju...n.premierleague http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...d-Park-job.html
American Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Believe what you want, but he must have been at the only resort in the Caribbean that doesn't have a fax machine or phone line, because Pana announced the signing and the agent that planted these stories did nothing to officially deny it.
Billy Castell Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 We are safe. Job done for this season Sam, well done. Now let's have a pint and watch the barcodes go down.
sweet Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Top ten managers of the season. No Allardyce. http://msn.football365.com/story/0,17033,1...5334018,00.html
Backroom DE. Posted May 19, 2009 Backroom Posted May 19, 2009 How Megson and Redknapp can be in there and not Allardyce I don't know.
Kelbo Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Totally agree, Megson before Allardyce?? what the hell has he done????
gumboots Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Top ten managers of the season. No Allardyce. http://msn.football365.com/story/0,17033,1...5334018,00.html Even I was shocked when I read that. If Redknapp deserves to be there then so does Allardyce because on paper Spurs have the 5th best squad at least and possibly it's even better than at Arsenal. whereas we have very little and lost much of what we had to injury. But then why would they give us credit? They never have so why change the habits of a lifetime?
John Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Redknapp generally has had a ridiculous amount of credit/praise for the job he has done at Spurs. I have read reports stating it was 'miraculous' they are in the top half of the table. If you are comparing the two managers, Harry took over in late October at Spurs, and spent over £40 million in January. Sam took over in mid-December, and spent £3 million on Diouf plus secured Givet on a loan deal. I think Redknapp has done ok, but some journalists have gone well OTT. Maybe its because I have a particular dislike of Spurs.....

Nahhh I don't think it's because of your dislike for Spurs that journo's have gone over the top about them mate.... they tend to do that anyway
Hughesy Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 No sam, yet it includes Megson that paid £11m for Elmander and it hated by the fans. So many unhappy wanderers fans right now.

I looked at my old posts the other day and I can't believe how against Sam I was, well I can admit when I am wrong, a big THANKYOU to Sam for keeping my club in the top league.
