BUT WHY DOES HE HATE ALLARDYCE SO MUCH?

Again, like a skipping CD I say, IF IT IS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY HE PLAYED AT BOLTON, AND THIS IS WHY HE 'DISPISES' HIM, THAT IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. ON EVERY HUMAN LEVEL POSSIBLE, PATHETIC.

Furthermore, if this has led him to stop going to games, his despisement of a man due to the STYLE OF FOOTBALL HE THINKS HE PLAYED, he may be a fan, BUT HE IS A SH*TE FAN.

All this garbage about morals is exactly that, garbage. You despise people if they kill a sibling, or assault your child. Not if they play a brand of football, especially that which has brought SUCH GREAT SUCCESS.

And he's not the sort of fan we want anyway.

Waggy wont know me but I know him and he is a true Rover. That said, and as someone who isn't over keen on Allardyce, his posts are getting a bit tiresome imo.

Not as tiresome though as some on here who simply wont allow for a view on Allardyce other than that he is the messiah.

If Waggy is indeed a true supporter, read through his posts after Big Sam arrived. He used his season ticket under Ince, who lost just about every single game, often playing embarrassing football, home and away. When Sam arrived he decided not to go. By that logic it seems Waggy would rather have us go down, in stead of staying up playing the football that was needed. Last season we were in bad shape, much like we were under Sparky when he first got here. We didn't play pretty football, but it seems our dear Waggy has forgotten all about that. If you take the time to read the dross Waggy has posted in the last few months there is one (that's right, one!) positive remark, and that was about Givet. The rest of the posts are just "lardarse, lardarse, lardarse, hoofball, hoofball, hoofball" rinse repeat ad infinitum. Every single thing Sam has done, every single transfer target, complaining about selling Derbs and not letting Gallagher get a shot (rolling my eyes), every single remark is just endless negativity. It's a crying shame we got Big Sam to keep us in the Premier League. One would think that would warrant at least some sentiment of "oh, I'm glad we stayed up even though the football we played at times weren't the greatest"/"the end justified the means"/etc, but no. That people grow tired of endless harping isn't really surprising. Big Sam kept us out of the Champoinship with a very poor and old team. In fact, there's not a lot you can really put your finger on that's bad, unless you have Waggy-glasses on. If Sam had been with us from the start of the season, we'd have finished approximately in the UEFA cup, given the form he got out of the team, and that's after losing Bentley and with half the team injured.

People can only take so much, and that's why he gets a lot of stick from the rest of the board. I don't post much but I felt the need tonight. If Big Sam doesn't keep us up/improving, then sure, voice your concerns - but all he's done from the get-go is to improve the team and get us out of an extremely poor league position.

Takes roughly 90 seconds to write a post on such a repetitive subject.

The irony of such a regular poster coming out with that kind of comment amuses me though.

Thank you.

Indeed

I was told on here that last season's injuries were because of the Ince regime and that Super Sam's top-notch set-up would sort everything out. However, 7 months into his reign, Dunn and Grella are AWOL yet again and we seem set to start the season with an English/French 3rd division central midfield paring and 2 unproven kids up front who will have barely said hello in the car park, let alone built up a telepathic understanding. So I, for one, am worried.

I have read on here that last season was not representative of Sam's style, so we shouldn't judge on that, and pre-season isn't indicative of anything, so we can't judge him on that. So when can we judge him? Perhaps if we are anything worse than 7th after 5 games?

And before anyone goes on about him keeping us up, Tony Parkes would have kept us up, as would El Tel, Curbs and any experienced hand, but I wouldn't necessarily want them as the long term manager.

Indeed

Unworthy of an intelligent poster.

The time to judge Allardyce is at the end of the coming season when he has been able to mould his own team.

Until then, let's see how the new lads settle in and give them and the manager a chance, shall we ?

How can you begin to justify that - especially Parkes.

The fact that you're trying to make Sam's achievement last season seem trivial shows you're not looking objectively at the situation at all, it was bordering on the miraculous under the circumstances.

Despite what jim might think I'm not anti Allardyce at all, I've always admired his record at Bolton, thought he was the man to keep us up, like him immensely as a character and personality and thought he came across brilliantly at "the audience with" night last season.

Nevertheless, and notwithstanding the fact he kept us up, we didn't perform nearly as well, or show nearly as much improvement under Sam as opposed to Ince as I was expecting. I thought we enjoyed quite a bit of good fortune last season, the home game against Spurs being a prime example and proving quite pivotal.

Maybe that was because we were playing Allardyce football with Hughes players or perhaps it is virtually impossible to operate effectively under the current restrictions imposed by the owners - whether you're Hughes, Ince or Allardyce.

jim's right, sam deserves to be given a chance until he's had a season in charge with "his players". If he knew in advance he was only going to be given half of the Derbyshire and RSC money to spend though, and if he had any say in the matter, then imo the decision to sell was a huge gamble which might define his tenure at Ewood Park given we've only apparently been able to bring in a couple of players with possible potential and one of those only on a half season loan at that.

Errr....because Parkes did it before from a similar situation.

Miraculous? Good - definitely; impressive - for sure. But making up a 5 point deficit in 20 games isn't miraculous and nothing like as unlikely as, for example Sheff Utd's, Bradford City's and WBA's great escapes. We had better players than all of them

Surely you are not suggesting it'll be 18 months in charge before he becomes accountable for what is happening, good or bad?

He will have had 2 transfer windows by the end of this month and more money than Hughes could have dreamt of; that's plenty in my mind. Souness and Hughes didn't take that long

Ok, lets judge Sam now------------------- he's doing a great job .

Exiled -

Sam was given a job 'Keep Blackburn up' - he did that with ease.

This season his job is to stabalise us, bring in some younger more vibrant players and hopefully move to mid-table.

Next season his job will hopefully to get us to push on further.

So far he hasnt let us down....give the bloke a chance.

Rev - We didnt show big improvement? Ince last 6 - Lost 6, Sam next 6, Lost 0.

You say we were lucky against Spuds, well we were also unlucky against West Ham at home & City at home & also United away. It works both ways!!

Dont forget he took on a team, rooted to the bottom - low in confidence & just been outclassed by Wigan (Who we later beat 2-0, with Sam in charge). He got us safe with plenty to spare. What do people expect him to do with 1 recognised striker for much of the part of his time in charge?!

I'm glad you saw some amusement in my post, I was getting worried about you there for a minute, all those capital letters.

We may not always agree, but us older posters need to stick together, keep some sanity around the place, Waggy apart

For the record - I don't like Allardyce for his anti Blackburn rants during his time at Bolton, I don’t like the fact he had his son as an agent working with him and I don’t like his style of football.

But I am willing to give the guy a chance, and do understand he’s already got one hand tied behind his back with the finances at Ewood.

:D Fair enough GAV, I didn't like Allardyce one bit before he joined us, but I was always envious of the job he did at Bolton. I would have liked him had he have done crap there, that kind of dislike. I always though he was the best man to replace Hughes, and I genuinely believe had he come straight in, we would have finished in the top 8-10 last season, and not have taken the 3-4 steps back we have done from 15 months ago.

I can't stand Ronaldo, but would I give up my season ticket if he signed? What do you think? But anyway, I'm sure Allardyce is here for the long haul, so I'm sure at some point Waggy will give in/see the light/ or, dare I say it, grow up.

Anyway, until then, stiff neck time it is.... :)

Only time we 'hoofed' it was towards the end when we were looked for the winner. That aside I don't recall us hoofing it purposely.

And ironically we looked more like scoring towards the end than at any other point in the match.

I think he is saying he backed a horse called 'Hoof it' that won
