Nevertheless, and notwithstanding the fact he kept us up, we didn't perform nearly as well, or show nearly as much improvement under Sam as opposed to Ince as I was expecting.

Then you were expecting too much, don´t blame Sam for that!

We were 5 points from safety, in freefall, with players bickering after matches and with little to spend. Add to that Sam had to deal with injuries to his best forward and to about 300 or so midfielders.

After Sam took us over we showed Europa-League form. I am befuddled as to why that was not acceptable for what you were "expecting". What would have been good enough under the circumstances? A Champions-league points return?

The time to judge Sam, as Jim has said, is at the end of this season. So far he has been an exceptional manager in keeping us up and improving the squad. It does not mean he should be free of criticism and of course if he makes a complete pig´s ear of things like the hapless Ince then he should not be unsackable. However....so far FOR US...he has done nothing less than a excellent job in the circumstances.

We should all sit back and let´s see what he does at Rovers. People are all critical because of his past but there was a great difference to when he took over at all his other clubs at the past and this job. Bolton were in financial trouble and a league down. Newcastle...well, they were and remain the hilarious Toon Army. Blackpool and the likes are no comparison.

So as Rovers have given Sam a different set of circumstances upon arrival then it means people should not be too sure as to what exactly will happen.

 you lot make me chuckle,i have a dig at lardarse and it's the crime of the century,is he beyond critism?i do not like the guy,i do not like his football tactics on and of the field, and i will continue to point his errors out.i'm not bothered one bit wether you call me a fan or not, those who know me know the answer  by the way i backes HOOF IT yesterday and it won

TOODLE PIP :o

You don´t have to like the guy. Plenty of Rovers fans do not.

You would however have far greater moral authority if you came out and said this yet still supported the team. Instead of letting one employee of the club drive you away...

Surely this makes too much sense?

Sam is taking a huge gamble here, he is putting the club before himself but if it comes off, his stock will have risen tenfold!

He has changed his normal direction and gone for youth rather than experienced campaigners (though he could do with the odd bit of experience in the team) and the way he is setting the team up to play is totally opposite to the way Bolton played !!

But thats the way modern coaches are working now, O'Neill and the chap down the road both have gone for youth!!

This will be interesting for if it doesnt work out, Mr Samba the striker will reappear as the leader of our attack!!

LMAO ^

Seriously though Waggy you don't contribute anything positive to say about BRFC, your posts are non constructive and childish with the amount of stupid smileys being used.

Ok you might not like Sam but give the guy a break ehy, if your a BRFC fan you should be grateful he kept us up.

We don't have the players to play passing football like Barca and if we try now we will be like West Brom and go down, we are BRFC on lmited resources and we've got to get what we can out of them and start playing ugly and grinding the results out when we need too.

Im a Sam fan but more importantly a BRFC fan.

Takes all sorts doesn't it? Wouldn’t do for us all to be the same would it?

I'm not going to spend my time arguing about Waggy, but anyone questioning his previous support for the club obviously hasn’t got a Scooby doo.

Hope you don't mind me correcting you there gav. Sadly it's completely obvious that waggy's support for BRFC has soured and paled.... and for no good reason. The last buggger was taking us down and SA has saved us yet he misses no opportunity to attack the manager and thge club at every opportunity. I recognise this cos this was similar to my attitude last year..... thing is my opinion was valid and ultimately validated by the dud in charge, I was proven to be totally and completely right whilst waggy is simply flogging a dead horse and making himself look more than a little silly and as some posters have queried very very immature.

I must say that as one gets older football does lose some importance in life. Obviously your Dad thinks the same and so prob will you soon. In the meantime waggy is doing his best to undermine the club. He is like Wormtongue desperately twisting SA's every move in order to breed discontent amongst the support base on here. He's like Ranulph Westwood only more sinister and not half as funny.

One day soon waggy will have his wish and SA will move on. They always do, 3 years being more than the average. imo it will be to bigger and better things, we'll see but if so waggy will again look more than a little stupid.

I thought we enjoyed quite a bit of good fortune last season, the home game against Spurs being a prime example and proving quite pivotal.

I think on the other side of the coin that we'd suffered a huge dollop of bad luck in the Bolton h, Sland away, and Man City h games before the luck finally turned v Spurs. Bad fortune along the lines of somebody at the club running over 10 cats and breaking an equal amount of mirrors had seen us blow 6 points in those matches remember.

Surely you are not suggesting it'll be 18 months in charge before he becomes accountable for what is happening, good or bad?

He will have had 2 transfer windows by the end of this month and more money than Hughes could have dreamt of; that's plenty in my mind. Souness and Hughes didn't take that long

Hughes did. He got Sav, Nelsen and Axe in his first January window but we struggled manfully all spring to sterr clear of the bottom places. Accepting the av life of a prem manager, (the paucity of funding at BRFC) and the transfer window situation and the length of players contracts means that most managers never ever get to put a team of their own together.

You really need to factor that into your thinking eit.

when are you going to climb out of your own arse, you said ince was a dud, fair enough you get one thing right, what about the appiontment of HUGHES

The sooner he goes the better as far as i'm concerned,if he moves on to better things i'll be most suprised but a very happy chappie.

The interesting bit for me was this:

“We know we are not going to score a lot of goals in the Premier League because we don’t spend the money on strikers like everyone else does.

That usually determines what position you finish in the league but if we get two strikers who score 10 or more we will finish in the top half or better.

“If we don’t we will finish in the bottom half and if we miss a load and they only score three or four we will struggle. That is the difference between putting the ball in the back of the net or not.”

This is why he has borrowed Di Santo and blown all his cash on Kalinic. Personally, I hope there is still time for a creative midfielder - even if a flawed one is all we can afford.

Until Rovers appoint somebody else you don't like then what are going to do, just come on here with the same drivel we have had to put up with for the last few months.

People on here have a right to voice their opinions as that is what this forum is about, but you seem to be going down the same repetitive thing ala Vinjay.

When Rovers lose this season I'm sure you will be first with your personal attack on Sam Alladyce, when we win I would think you will be quiet unless your going to come out with some stupid comment about us being lucky.

Many people on here will say that we have had managers in the past that they have not liked but that hasn't stopped them going down to Ewood and supporting the team

and surley thats what it is about supporting the team regardless of who the manager is.

Was not sure where to put this.

Another journalist lacking brain cells or clearly drunk: As he promised, Big Sam kept Blackburn in the Premier League and therefore above their natural status, although many still think Paul Ince would have done the same, given the time.

Would love to know who the 'many' are in reference to Ince.

Tony Adams and Oliver whoever he is from the Mirror

:P just read through the posts after the dundee match and many posters are unhappy with the events off the pre- season games.on the injury front i think samba was brought of to stop him travelling to the congo game, gally is a squad player and nelsen seems to be back to last seasons early form, hardly a missing star.fans have to realise that lardarse has had two transfer windows to work his miracles and yet fans are saying i'll be happy if we finsh just above the relagation zone.big change from last year when a lot of you were saying we would have been in europe if lardarse was here at the beginning of the season.with the players he has brought in route 1 football is what you will see at ewood, happy with that are you

Happy with what, premier league football thanks to Sam? Yes very happy!

The reason expectations have changed is because your mate Ince did his best at making a mess of our club. Sam is fixing that - we wont be in a relegation battle this time around!
